But Judy, never thanked me for a tip. The whole time she's being mean to me she is trying to sell me products. Greedy. Anyway, this doomsday, I felt rushed from the time I entered until the time I left. But while I was getting my procedure done, I could hear her laughing with the customers, so jolly and cheerful. I could also hear them at the counter blabbing, taking their time. Anyway, I usually get a lip wax after Amy does my lashes. When Amy was done I had to pee so bad. Anyway, here comes Judy, I was barely off of the bed and she said come, come NOW! Not allowing me to pee but that's when I said enough is enough. I am a loyal customer and a great tipper. So after my lip wax I used the bathroom and when I came out she was pacing around waiting for me. So when I went to pay she rushed me so bad and pretty much kicked me lout saying you call for your next appt. Are you kidding me? I just heard you kee-keeing it with the white customers. I am not someone to blame everything on racism BUT IT WAS A BLATENT DISRESPECT TO ME. In all of my 62 years I have never been treated this way by anyone much less from someone who I am paying!!! This…read morelovely young woman, who is like family to us, asked me weeks ago where she should get her nails done before going to see her family in Dubai. It was going to be the first time she got a mani pedi in the US, and she has lived here for 4 years. When it was time to pay, she gave $40 cash for a $170 treatment, more than the standard 20% tip. And the technician who serviced her proceeded to shame her for not tipping to her liking, saying things like "didn't I do a good job?" and telling her $40 was not enough. While I have personally never been to this salon, I have local friends who are regulars and have recommended it highly to me (which is why I recommended it to my niece's friend). But I guess a 23-year old Pakistani woman straight out of college who drove in from West Haven to treat herself deserves to be treated differently than local Westport white women? I am embarrassed to have sent her to your salon and will be sharing her story widely. Shame on you.
