Paid $90 for a gel tips manicure plus $20 tip. The man was extremely rude. He was slapping my hand and threw my phone away. A week later every single mail has fallen off or chipped. I normally have a flawless experience at the Darien location so this was shocking. Shame on the nail tech for treating me that way and shame in the business for probably using cheap products and charging for a premium manicure. Now all Posh spas have lost my business. I called 1 day after I got them done after 2 nails had fallen off. They told me I have to pay for each mail to be fixed. This is an unacceptable way to treat clients who frequent this business. Have been going here for 6 years. I get my nails done infrequently, mostly regular pedicures and occasional gel manicure. Extremely clean, professional. I usually call for an appointment because it can get crowded on weekends, but have been able to walk in and be accommodated. I think the prices are probably on the expensive side, but it's Southport ($45 for reg mani/pedi, less expensive if you pay cash). The first thing you'll notice when you walk in is their magical disinfectant spray in what looks like a metal detector you'd find going through a security line. It startled me a bit so be careful! It was incredibly easy to make a reservation online for this location which was nice! I got dip powder on my nails (my first time using powder) and I was definitely skeptical. I heard it was long lasting like gel, but was less harmful to the nail bed. My experience at the salon was ok... I was seated right by the cash register and I there was a pretty consistent flow of people squeezing past me (totally fine- I get that it gets busy!) It's been a week and my nails are already cracking. My nails were completely grown out and healthy, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Between the cost and the tip it was well over $50, and I would have hoped that they would last longer. I'm on the newer side to this establishment, I've only been coming for a year or so. But Sonia, the mail technician, is beyond amazing. I've been following her wherever she goes for over 20 years. She is efficient, she has a great eye for design and colors, everything is always clean, and she actually makes sure I leave happy. Sonia is fast and almost never runs late with a previous appt. The salon itself is very busy and although most are friendly sometimes it's just hectic. They have a large selection for colors although some are extra charges. There is a 5 minute complimentary massage if you want as well. My only complaint is that it's hard to get an appt with Sonia! My hidden gem is now pretty well known! I made an appointment here for myself and my mother in law ahead of time. We arrived ten minutes early and at first we were sorta jostled around like they didn't know what to do with us. The place initially appeared pretty good. Everything looked clean. My technician had a sanitized bag of tools. However, the service itself was very detached. The girls working on our nails occasionally talked to each other and very rarely to us (a word or two). It felt a bit uncomfortable, but that's typical of a lot of nail salons it seems. However, my real complaint is after my spa pedicure (~$50) I still have loose skin on my feet the same day. I was hoping the pedicure would refresh my feet before boot season begins, but they look almost the same. The technician spent very little time scrubbing them, so I was surprised to see their state. My nails now, a few days later, are all breaking. I have had three nails snap midway up. It couldn't totally be coincidence, but it just sorta topped off my desire to not return. read more

I had high expectations because I have frequented Posh in Greenwich and have always had an amazing experience. Today was completely unexpected. I arrived at 6 and they closed at 7, so maybe that's why my service was rushed and poor. I asked if they could accommodate a gel pedicure and without hesitation she ushered someone over who took me right away, which was great. The woman, who didn't introduce herself immediately started working on my feet. I'm used to being asked which pedicure I wanted off the menu. This didn't happen, so I asked which pedicure she was doing. She said, "it's almost 7." It was 6:18. She cut my nails too short, and tugged at my legs often. The post massage was 3 minutes long. I'm used to at least 10. I don't like the forced cash tip, I'm not going to the ATM to pay a fee to do tips in cash. The other Posh allows card tipping and they didn't honor my rewards account. I'm not hard on my nails - other places, I get 2-3 weeks out of a gel mani. Alice did a fantastic job and I am in love with my new eyelashes!! By the way, this was the first time getting eyelash extensions. UPDATE: It's been a little over a week since I got my eyelash extensions and not only do I wake up with lashes all over my face every morning but also, I've noticed that my lashes are not curled up like some other ladies I've seen. I've never had my nails done here before, but have to recommend this spot for eyelash extensions. Eric does and AMAZING job and the price ($120) is pretty reasonable compared to other places. Tell him the look you're going for - from natural to glamorous - and he'll spend ages perfecting the set. You'll LOVE them. But the service comes with an additional price. Sigh. No matter what anyone tells you, extensions DO damage your natural lashes. Going back every 3 weeks as advised is an awful idea. I suggest getting a set and letting them all fall out so you can give your natural lashes a breather and take stock of any thinning or breakage. If you take good care of them - little to no mascara and delicate washing - they will last much longer. I still have a few extensions left after over 2 months and am looking forward to my next set right before vacation. Mascara at the beach? No, thanks. So yeah, eyelash extensions are my newest guilty pleasure. Like bumming a Parliament after a few margaritas, sneaking a Big Mac or staying up until midnight watching Toddlers & Tiaras.
