Working with him has made me concerned about working with any contractors in the future as my fiance and I are pretty new to home ownership and updates. For one thing, Brent's communication is ATROCIOUS. Every single step of the way. You will always have to hunt him down if you discuss anything. Huge red flag. For another thing, he was COMPLETELY disrespectful of the budget we told him. He smiled and nodded and then proceeded to give us a plan 4-5 times what we asked for. Brent totally botched one corner of our yard, and did not have the competence to fix it, or willingness to look into it further or hire a subcontractor. He has just stopped communicating with us even though as of July 31st of this year he texted us that he would be coming over to look at it again. He does not take responsibility for any of this of course- it is the manufacturer's fault or our fault because our budget was so small (still tens of thousands of dollars) that he was barely willing to take a job like this and he let us know it. After we paid him, of course. His design work is nothing you should pay this kind of money for. We are looking into our rights and options now. I would caution anyone against working with him.

They chose the foliage specifically for what they knew would grow well in our area and with the sunlight for each side of the house. Rudgers Landscaping and Construction (David and helper) responded quickly when I contacted them…read moreabout an irrigation issue where the center of my lawn would not turn on. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. The owner refused to listen to what I was trying to explain and immediately started cutting into irrigation lines without discussing pricing, troubleshooting strategy, or even what he believed the problem might be. Instead, I got long "war stories" about other lawns he had worked on, which did nothing to address my issue. In the end, he never actually found the problem. Instead, he capped off piping and rigged the system so water flowed through all the sprinklers, but with significantly reduced pressure and coverage compared to before. When I pointed this out, he ignored my concerns and told me to go buy different sprinkler heads because that "should" fix the coverage problem. I would expect a professional irrigation contractor to properly diagnose and solve the issue himself. He also replaced the top portion of my solenoid valve with a larger setup that now prevents my valve box door from closing. After I contacted him about this, he promised he would come back and correct it. To date, I have heard nothing. The cleanup and restoration were also sloppy. Soil around the sprinklers was carelessly replaced, and the entire job felt rushed and unprofessional. I honestly regret paying for the service. I do want to say that his assistant was respectful of my property and professional throughout the visit. I only wish the assistant had been the one leading the job instead of the owner. At one point the owner mentioned that he installs artificial grass as well. Based on my experience with this irrigation repair, I personally would not trust him with any landscaping project.
