A quick Yelp review led us to Lee's Discount Liquor, which I was initially skeptical about because some places that have "discount" in their name have far from what you would expect to be discount prices...thankfully that was not the case here! Entering the store we were greeted by a friendly employee who inquired if we needed assistance. Being that Hennessy is not my usual drink of choice, I did not know what to expect price wise; sensing my uncertainty, the employee proceeded to show me two options. One was a 750ml bottle discounted to $39.99 and the other was a larger 1.75l bottle that was on sale for $74.99 (normally a whopping $119.99). Since we were headed to a party, I opted for the larger of the two (I must add that the employee was very patient as I contemplated the two). Lee's Discount Liquor truly lives up to it's name, I will definitely make a return visit whenever I'm in North Las Vegas!

If you have questions about anything in the store, or where to find something within the store, they will have an answer, and can tell you exactly where to find it. Items that you can't find anywhere else, can be found here. And if (for some reason) they don't have it, they will order it for you. So it's a win, win either way. I want to thank the Wine Supervisor Gerardo Salinas, for helping my husband figure out the Total Wine app on his phone. We have come in a few times, and have asked for help with it, but no one was able to figure out the problem. However, Mr. Salinas took his time, went the extra mile, and figured out how to fix the problem. After selecting our items, we went to the checkout, where I handed the cashier my valid ID. The cashier then told me she could not sell the alcohol because she also needed to see my husband's ID. My husband had forgotten his wallet at home, but that shouldn't have mattered because I was the one purchasing the alcohol, and I had a valid ID. We politely explained that I was the purchaser, but the cashier refused. My husband even suggested he can just wait outside and was told it doesn't matter. She explained anyone who enters needs to be legal if age. Ironically a middle age man being helped next cashier with his kids. We asked to speak with a manager, who repeated the same policy. He compared the situation to ordering drinks at a bar, saying everyone would need to show ID. That comparison didn't make sense to us because I was making a retail purchase, not ordering drinks for immediate consumption. What made the experience even more frustrating was that we didn't see any posted sign explaining this policy. While we were there, we also noticed another customer shopping with a child who was still being checked out without any issue, which made the policy feel inconsistently applied. Nobody ask for ID or we would have not spent 40 mins in there. We chose not to complete our purchase and left disappointed. We understand and respect businesses following alcohol laws, but this situation felt unreasonable, poorly explained, and inconsistently enforced. Better communication and consistency would have made for a much better customer experience. That's explains why this place has less stars rate

Usually I'm over at Khoury's for all my wine and alcoholic needs, but this was a last-minute kind…read moreof visit. I had just sold my old car at CarMax located down the road and my dad requested that we stop by Total Wine & More before I took him home. I decided to go inside with him because I was curious what they had here. He had his eye on a specific type of white wine and thanks to someone here that helped him out, he ended up clearing out all of its' inventory, buying at least six bottles of this specific brand. It was a Riesling white wine but I don't remember the full name of it. He and my mom now have plenty of wine to go through over the next couple of months lol. Here, I thought to myself, I should buy myself a bottle of wine as well. At my dad's suggestion and since I'm a big fan of Chardonnay and other types of white wine, I picked up a Nobilis white wine straight out of Portugal. When I traveled to Europe a couple of years ago, I did a lot of white wine tastings and this is pretty much how my white wine palate peaked. I've yet to visit Portugal, though. I haven't opened this bottle yet, but I already know that I'll like it. Although I don't really frequent Total Wine & More, they have a wide variety of wine and alcohol choices to choose from.

It's convenient because it's on my route home from work and I'll stop by if I need to grab something real quick. Why don't I like it? The parking lot/entering/exiting this place is inconvenient. You can get lucky and have Flamingo be pretty empty so you can get out easily but that's not always the case. Also, the pricing is always a little bit higher here than where I like to normally shop. I'm talking just a few dollars but that can add up in the long run. What I do like about this shop is that every single time I've been in, the people working here are super helpful and friendly. The aisles are organized well and even though the building is a bit older, it's clean and easy to navigate. They have a lot of items to choose from and you can get lucky finding items that may not be readily available.
