Usually I'm over at Khoury's for all my wine and alcoholic needs, but this was a last-minute kind of visit. I had just sold my old car at CarMax located down the road and my dad requested that we stop by Total Wine & More before I took him home. I decided to go inside with him because I was curious what they had here. He had his eye on a specific type of white wine and thanks to someone here that helped him out, he ended up clearing out all of its' inventory, buying at least six bottles of this specific brand. It was a Riesling white wine but I don't remember the full name of it. He and my mom now have plenty of wine to go through over the next couple of months lol. Here, I thought to myself, I should buy myself a bottle of wine as well. At my dad's suggestion and since I'm a big fan of Chardonnay and other types of white wine, I picked up a Nobilis white wine straight out of Portugal. When I traveled to Europe a couple of years ago, I did a lot of white wine tastings and this is pretty much how my white wine palate peaked. I've yet to visit Portugal, though. I haven't opened this bottle yet, but I already know that I'll like it. I've been a loyal Total Wine customer for years, even holding Grand Reserve status in their loyalty program, and I used to enjoy this location. Unfortunately, after two separate experiences leaving insulted and empty-handed, I'm done with this store (and likely the entire chain). Each time, the same employee, a heavyset bearded man who works behind the Customer Service desk and dresses like a manager, has been the reason. His rudeness and unsolicited commentary have repeatedly turned what should be simple purchases into frustrating, unpleasant encounters. Most recently, I stopped in to purchase five bottles of 2015 Veuve Clicquot Vintage Brut Rosé at $126 each, which the store showed as in stock. When I could only find one bottle on the shelf, he explained the rest were kept off the floor "to prevent theft." Fair enough. But when I asked to buy all remaining bottles, the conversation took an unprofessional turn. Instead of completing the sale, he launched into a string of unsolicited and dismissive remarks: "There are a lot better bottles of champagne you could spend $126 on." "That bottle used to cost $50 before Veuve dumped all their money into marketing." "That bottle isn't worth that kind of money." He kept going, condescending and belittling my choice, despite my clear statements that I wanted the Veuve. I hadn't asked for his opinion, yet he continued until I'd had enough and walked out. Once again, this jerk cost the store a very easy $700+ sale. This exact scenario has happened before with the same employee over this very same champagne. I'm now contacting the local distributor to let them know he's actively discouraging sales, and I'll also be filing a formal complaint with Total Wine corporate. For context, I hold a WSET Level 4 certification, have professionally collected wine for nearly two decades, and am a former wine writer for several publications. My palate is my own and frankly, even if I knew nothing about wine, no customer deserves to be treated with disdain and unsolicited judgment. I will never set foot in this location again, and I will be sharing my experience widely within my network of wine collectors and enthusiasts. This guy doesn't need to be working in customer service, period. I did end up purchasing an entire case of the champagne I wanted at another vendor. Going to Total Wine is always a good time, especially if you go on a Friday! They have wine tastings on Friday's however, it may not always be wine. This particular Friday it was not necessarily tequila , however a liquor made from one of the many variations of agave plants which was similar to tequila yet very smooth! HUGE store. Lots of help. Quite a few different people offered to help us. And someone had set up a samples table, so we tasted a bourbon. We wanted to get some white wines by J Dusi and both red and white from Daou. Every wine we requested, the Young Woman Who Helped Us looked in her hand-held device only to then tell us that they didn't have it. They no longer carry wines from Frei Brothers, either. I mean, wine after wine until it became almost funny. Almost. Frustrating is the more accurate word. They did, finally, have one of the wines on our shopping list: Pessimist, a red blend from Daou. Also, we were told that within each section, the wines are displayed alphabetically. I don't know whose alphabet they use, but neither my husband nor myself could figure out their system of alphabetizing the wines. I do appreciate that someone immediately explained to us their price tags because many of the wines are priced that, if you buy six bottles or more, you get the lower of the two prices. Check-out was quick and efficient. Parking lot sorta sucks. There is plenty of parking but the designer of the parking lot itself should go back to design school. In the end, with six bottles of wine and some dark beer, we spent $153. According to the receipt, we saved $13.99. With such a huge store, I expected to have better luck finding the wines I wanted. I'm torn between a score of 3 and 4. It's always better to be kind, so I'm giving four stars but 3.5 is more accurate I think. read more

If you have tasted an authentic and real cup or bottle of XO Remy Martin, you should definitely consider and conclude that the one shown in the picture was not the original and authentic one, which I purchased from Total Wine lately , and which cost me 227 dollars with the taxes ( the list price is $ 209) . First, there's no mental label sealed across the lid and neck of the bottle required for every single bottle of XO. Second, the color is kind of darkened and third, the most important, the taste is not as good as the real ones: too hard and spicy , not smooth and gentle enough. On the other hand, The small bottle next to this bottle in the store is good and authentic, which tastes much better and the price is $114 before the taxes. read more

I went to this location of Total Wine with a friend and I was so pleasantly surprised! The staff was amazing. Very friendly and offered to help us, but when we politely declined and said we just wanted to browse they gave us our space, which is not always my experience at other wine shops. There were plenty of team members around when we did have a question, and the store was really well maintained. Their selection of wine was really good, and we were able to pick up bottles from all over Europe and the U.S. for our holiday celebrations at good prices. I loved the descriptions and grabbed a few bottles based on those alone, which I found really helpful. I'll definitely be back to this location. I've gone to two of the wine classes now and let me tell you, it's worth the $20. They could charge more tbh (please don't though, lol). Me and my girlfriend we're walking around total wine for a while. I grab some Stella Rosa black, a big bag of pretzels and some alcohol that was on sale. When I got to the front my girlfriend (which nobody knows who she is in that store) exited because she forgot her wallet at home and we have to drive all the way to North Las Vegas. She had already left the store and the woman told me that she cannot scan up none of my stuff unless my girlfriend showed her ID. However I just handed her mines. This is a straight up adult playground! There are wines from several countries here. You have row after row of options to choose from at a variety of price points. Does it get better? YES! They have samples! I was able to try a new tequila based seltzer. It was very tasty!! They also had Brown Butter Bourbon but I passed on that. The staff here was very friendly and offered to help if I needed it. I was chatting with one employee about how big the place is and she said there have been people come and look for hours at all the wines. TW&M in Henderson on Stephanie has the best customer service I've ever received! They went above and beyond in their service and professionalism. It was absolutely amazing and memorable! I came in looking for a few bottles of Cabernet and before I knew it, there was a sales person who saw I needed help and immediately came to assist me. They let me know there was a 20% off all Cabs and helped me sign into my app for the coupon. They were very patient with me, while I followed instructions on how to get all my info on the app accurately and explained how their 6 bottle program works. It was pretty refreshing to shop at a store where they actually cared about what you were buying and if you were getting a discount. I'd shop here every week if I could but unfortunately I live on the other side of town. But now that I know about this location-- I'll definitely be stopping in for the amazing service and selection. If there were negative number options, that's what I would select. Bought $60.00+ yesterday in two bottles of wine and one bottle of $32.00 Tequila. When attempting to open the Tequila last night at our party, the top totally broke off (came unglued) so just the insert was stuck and absolutely no way to remove the insert. I brought the bottle back next day and was so disappointed in the total (pun intended) lack of customer service. I went to customer service counter (they need to rename it, (No Customer Service), smiled at a rep. She didn't greet me, no smile, no how can I help? Her remark, "yes, what do you need?" I smiled and said I'd like to return this. She said, "oh he'll have to help you." Well, "he'll" was same, no greeting, no "sorry this happened, or sorry you had to waste your time and come back in." He looked at the broken top, asked, "what do you want to do?" I said, "well the party was last night, had to run out again to buy tequila so I'd like my money back." He didn't make eye contact, seemed so put out, took care of the transaction and counted out the money owed. Ha! Nothing else! No thank you or apology.
