I needed a knee scooter. Based on the friendly reviews I visited Ace and was surprised how not friendly the woman up front was. I walked in and was greeted. Told her I needed a knee scooter and she was pleasant until I told her I wanted to just rent one since I had a prescription and my insurance recommended renting one. Her demeanor changed and she said "We don't particpate with insurance." I said that is fine I can file on my own and just wanted to see what I could rent. She went to the back and brought out a knee scooter that looked very well used and the handle bar stand was not secure and wobbly. I aksed if there was another scooter and pointed out the problem with the scooter and was told "that's all we have to rent, if you don't like it you can purchase one". read more

Many calls from Ace to confirm what was needed. They didn't deliver so got Uber to go pick up. What they had was wrong. This happened twice. Communication breakdown, but we take some responsibility for that. I was travelling to Oahu with my family. My mom needs a wheelchair and my brother needs a rollator four wheelwalker. It was a Saturday when we decided to rent them when we get there instead of taking the equipment with us on the flight. Most of the supply store were closed and weekends. I have did business with them less than a year ago. It was okay except for them not calling me when my product was ready. I decided to give them another chance. I ordered another two pair of support stockings. It was awhile since I decided to check on it. So I was told that they were waiting for a response from HMSA . I then asked if she could check on it but was given a response that she has many customers and had more important things to do. So I asked if I can get my prescription back because I was going somewhere else. So she she would give me a copy. At that moment I knew this business did care for my business and wont never recommend or do business with them. I latter called HMSA to find out why found out this item did not need prior approval and was covered. The agent talked this place but was told they would not release any product until they had an approval and all the paperwork from HMSA. Even though I bought the similar product from them months ago. I got my prescription back and the person said they left a message to HMSA but I told them I called HMSA not them but would help me even though they told them it was covered. It's all about the money not to help the customer. I would tell all of you go to some place else. Every time I go there it was empty so why couldn't she make one phone call. Too make things worse today they called me to tell it was ready to pick up. I responded I started the process with another company and she said she was sorry. Too little too late.
