Ace nails did an incredible job on my nails. They are very detail oriented. The team took time to make sure every nail is perfectly shaped and polished. On top of it, all of them are very nice and a delight to talk to. Ace salon have the top notch tools/equipment. May and the team invested in their craft and it really shows.

First time at this shop, came because of the cool nail art I saw on Yelp and wanted a fun design. After my manicure, I left the shop and didn't notice until I got home that the edges of the French tip were kind of rough, it didn't quite match the quality I saw in the photos. Next day I called and asked if I could come back to have them cleaned up and May was really kind about it and didn't just fix the edge she fully re-did the French tips and smoothed out the areas where the dip was bumpy. It came out really amazing, great place for fun designs! May is very sweet and genuinely wants customers to have a good experience. Price is fair/about the same I've paid in the past ($55 for dip), they prefer cash over card just as a headsup.

I asked for an almond shape, but unfortunately, my nails came out uneven and they don't resemble the shape I requested. Each nail looks different, and there are visible polish streaks. On top of that, the process was painful, and I was cut multiple times.

Never in my life have I had a worse manicure experience. The salon felt dirty and crowded. The staff was unfriendly, and most importantly did a terrible job picking at my cuticles, filing my nails all the way down with a very coarse file, and pouring on the polish. I asked for a single coat of polish, and they insisted on two coats. As you can see from the photos, the second coat was way too heavy, and did not evenly cover the surface, leaving big drip marks and causing them to chip off the next day. The hand massage used a combination of lotion and oil which felt slimy. Two days later, all nails looked like the last photo and I removed the remaining polish. Needless to say, I will not be back. Looks like there are plenty of positive reviews, so hopefully my experience was not the norm!

I went to this place three years ago I went with my dad and one of my school friends to get our nails done for my birthday I got my nails done and after they were done my fingers were bleeding so were my dads my friend had a small cut to.They were not easy on the nail it was roughly used.I went back today after 3 years once again I came out the place with three cuts on my finger.They we're not very open to conversation.He also poured alcohol on my cuts making them burn.

I wanted to like this place so badly. The reviews seemed fantastic. But here's the tea. I asked for tips with dip powder and after they glued all the tips on they asked what shape I wanted, I said long coffin. They said the woman who does that shape isn't in. Ok, honest mistake. I didn't ask prior. But here's where it all goes terribly wrong. They remove the tips, barely buff out my nails and try to send me on my not so merry way. Hold the phone, you're gonna let me out into the wild with rough, glue-y, misshapen, downright ugly nails? Uhm no. I asked politely for her to fix them and she did, begrudgingly and barely. I went home and filed the crap out of them for 15 minutes and I'm still picking leftover glue off my fingertips. Big oof

The service was amazing! I love going her as usual and look at the design that May gave me! It's so simple yet fun!! I can not wait to show this to all of my friends, it is such an October themed design!

Love this place!!! I they are friendly, do excellent work and follow safe Covid protocols. I mentioned to the owner that gel manicures only last a couple of weeks on me b4 chipping. ( Ian a nurse and I wash my hands, use hand sanitizer and don and doff gloves numerous times a day). She suggested dipping them in powder b4 applying gel and now my nails look gorgeous for an entire month! They are the best! read more

I love Ace Nails! It is my favorite Nail Salon in all of Marin. They have outdoor services as well due to Covid and it's lovely to sit looking at the redwood trees. Everyone is so nice and the manicures and pedicures are so well done and last so long. They have hundreds of colors of regular and gel polish and varying brands as well. The hot stone massage is AMAZING and you can add additional minutes of leg or neck massage to your service. And all is very affordable, especially for Marin. I HIGHLY recommend Ace Nails! read more

I got a manicure and pedicure for the first time in 6 months! They do everything outside and it felt very safe. My chair was in the sun at the time and I was HOT but I don't think that's the case most of the time given the trees across the parking lot. Manicure still hasn't chipped 2 days later :) read more

I took my mom and girlfriends here to get our nails done before my wedding. It was an amazing experience. We had so much fun with the staff!! They were so personable and friendly. My family from out of town complimented how they took their time, how clean it was, and how beautiful their work was. We all had a blast and the hot stone massages and chair massage added some much needed relaxation before the big wedding day. Thank you Ace Nails, it was truly special. We will be back! read more

I have been going to Ace Nails for a while now for Gel manicure and pedicures. They do such a great job and they are very accommodating. All their workers are friendly and do a very good job. May is also very sweet and she does a great job. She also has gotten a lot of new gel colors that are amazing. May also has the skill of doing amazing designs. I have never had a salon take better care of my nails. Each technician is so diligent throughout the process and they are always well equipped to deal with my nail breaks or other issues. They get to know their clients and are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. As long as I live in the area, this is the only nail salon I will go to. read more

It was my first mani-pedi since SIP I was very happy that I went to Ace May was very cautious- taking each customers temperature and getting everyone's phone number in case it becomes necessary. The outdoor set up is perfect- today was very hot, but their location is very cool. It also allows for some nice privacy. The technicians are all very good. Ladies! Omg you need to go pamper yourself at this cute sweet outdoor nail shop! I was 100% satisfied with services! They were friendly, welcoming and most of all I felt comfortable and safe. As a hairstylist/cosmetologist I'm very familiar with the sanitation process and expectations and i can say they went above and beyond! I couldn't have been happier and such a long overdue treat! These lovely ladies stayed late this evening to give me a wonderful gel pedicure and manicure. Even though it was the end of the day, they gave me 5 star service. They massaged my legs and arms with hot stones and made sure my feet and hands felt as soft and smooth as a baby before I left. Quiet and peaceful setting looking out at the redwoods. Very clean. Absolutely the best nails in Marin. I was still driving back to the city before I found this place. Everyone is amazing (so you don't have to wait for a particular person), I always get tons of compliments on my nails (they are great at shaping and evenly polish and definitely try the fun French tips with fun colors). Oh and they'll take that metal thing to your feet when needed - definitely needed post Covid . Highly recommend! read more

Beware before you book, they ONLY take cash!! We had a party of 4 getting a manicure and pedicure for a wedding the following day. Once complete we went to pay and the woman in charge said they only accept cash! Thank goodness one of us had enough cash to pay the $260 bill. read more

I have been to Ace Nails a few times now since I recently moved to Marin. I have had such a great experience each time. Most recently I had jammed my finger into my wall and broke my nail, it was bleeding and so sensitive. May truly worked her magic and somehow fixed it! My finger stopped hurting and my nails looked PERFECT as they always do when I leave Ace Nails. I highly recommend Ace Nails to anyone looking for a great salon in the area! read more

I had been a longtime client and always tipped 20% even while skipping the massage. When paying I asked the owner why only one coat and she said because I said I was meeting someone. The second time I came here, they quoted me $10 for a gel removal and then changed the price to $25 for hard gel even though the removal process was exactly the same and took the same amount of time. On top of this, they looked awful afterwards. Really careless. Each time I have come here it just feels like a scam. There are better nail options in Marin. I would not recommend this one.

This is the second Yelp review I have ever written and I want to express the exceptional experience I had at Ace Nails today in Mill Valley on Miller. I am a middle aged male who brings my elderly mother in once a month for a mani/pedi. Instead of killing time and coming to pick her up in an hour, I just received the most relaxing, detail oriented manicure and pedicure one could imagine. We enjoyed wonderful conversation and many laughs. I could go on but I refuse to be one of those Yelpers. I simply want to express my gratitude to Ace Nails. I would like to mention my manicurist, May. She does absolutely impeccable work. My nails have never looked so healthy and so beautiful. She is so kind, thoughtful, always punctual and a total sweetheart. I highly recommend this salon and her in particular!!!! She is amazing and very knowledgeable. Also to mention I had had hand surgery in January which affected my index finger/nail and she took extremely good care of me and was very gentle. I've seen great reviews for this salon and have lived in this area for much of my life, of course, I had to check it out. Fairly disappointed - some of the nail techs were rude and the manager, I'm assuming, did my acrylic fill. She did a decent job, never chipped and lasted as I travelled, but had some patchy work on two nails. Also took a long time because the manager was doing schedule work and answering the phones - expected for her position, of course, but still important to note. read more

I am so happy I found Ace nails! They are so friendly and do such good paint job. I get gel manicures and they look Freshly manicured for at least 3 weeks. I'm always getting compliments. They have a large selection of both fun and natural colors so I always have options! They have outdoor and indoor availability. I'm comfortable being inside. They keep the salon clean and sanitized and follow covid safety protocols. they're the best! read more

I knew this nail shop in 2021, when the city is locked down. I always go to this nail shop because this place is freaking awesome. Everyone here is really nice, they are so kind and generously make for me when I request a difficult nail sample. The vibe here is so sweet and clean too. First time to Ace Nails and May gave me the best manicure I've ever had. I actually did the dip powder and she took so much time shaping my nails so my hands looked more feminine.......(I have large hands)! The modern French I picked out from a photo I brought in and she did a great job. I only wanted two nails painted, subtle works for me. I'll definitely return! read more
