If you filter to negative reviews you'll see that almost every one mentions parking costs. If you…read morecan ignore that or if you're lucky enough to live within trolley/walking distance (as my brother who I'm visiting is) it's a really phenomenal mall. There's a great range of both high-end (Hermes, Chanel, Tiffany, Carolina Herrera, etc) and affordable (Uniqlo, H&M) shopping along with both expensive and fast-casual dining. I love going to Marugame Udon for lunch and grabbing a quick bite, or Haidilao for hot pot if I want something a little nicer. There's also a VERY popular Din Tai Fung here. In addition, there's a food court with some fast food options, a Shake Shack, etc. It's a beautifully maintained and designed outdoor mall with plenty of space to sit and lots of kiosks where you can get coffee or small treats. Overall it's a phenomenal mall (maybe I'm biased because I haven't had to deal with parking though) and I'll definitely return.

I had a very disappointing experience at this mall because of the customer service at Panini Cafe,…read moreone of the businesses located inside. My pickup order was significantly delayed, but that was not the main issue. Delays happen. The real problem was the way I was treated when I simply asked for an update. One staff member responded by pointing at the monitor and saying, "OK?" in a dismissive and aggressive tone. He did not check on the order, explain anything, apologize, or show basic courtesy. I raised the issue with the manager at Panini Cafe, and she was professional and said she would address it, which I appreciated. However, the staff member himself appeared to avoid the situation and showed no apology, accountability, or remorse. This kind of experience reflects poorly not only on the restaurant but also on the overall customer experience at the mall. When businesses inside a mall treat customers this way, it affects how visitors perceive the entire place. Customers should be able to ask a reasonable question about a delayed order without being treated disrespectfully. I left with a very negative impression and will think twice before returning to this mall for food or pickup orders.

Meanwhile, they have a minimum of two levels (usually 3) that are always COMPLETELY open with not a single car parked there. I was towed today for going 10 minutes over the three hour limit with at least 300 open parking spaces available all around me!!!! No reason to tow other than absolute hate that someone must have for their job. There was ZERO reason I had to be towed with that many free parking spaces available. Complete nonsense!!!!

They guard retail spots as if they are the presidents own body guards, even though NO RETAIL SHOPPER WOULD PARK BY THE FUCKING PARKING GARAGE INSTEAD OF BY THE FUCKING STORE. They will literally sit for hours and guard completely empty lots of parking for precious retail shoppers to use (no retail shopper will ever use these spots) and seem to take some twisted delight in charging students hundreds of dollars in tickets or making them late to class by making them move their car. Not everyone is made of money, some of us rely on public transport, and you guys are seriously fucking disgusting and I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I was you.

After parking, it's a quick walk to the trolley. I use the pronto app on my phone and I just scan the QR code as I walk onto the platform. The TV monitors tell you when the next one is coming. There isn't a lot of seating but they come pretty often. Once on board seating can be easy or hard depending on the time as with any metro line. It seems pretty clean and people mostly keep to themselves in my experience. There was a security guard riding with us but it wasn't clear if he was with the MTS or making his way somewhere. It's a relatively quick and easy ride and transferring isn't hard if you need to. I went to the gas lamp no problem. Coming back later it was a bit dark, especially at old town where I transferred. I just stood nearer to the light. It didn't take all that long and I was back to Nobel. Security was making sure fares were payed as I tapped my phone app out upon leaving. Easy and you don't have to deal with parking, $$$ gas costs or traffic.

Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.

I used CBX to fly from TIJ to San Miguel Allende 10 years ago, and recently to Cancun. Both times were uneventful, exactly how I like my airport experiences to be. Purchase your CBX pass and parking ahead of time. Parking is priced cheapest in the dirt lot and most expensive in the covered/paved lot. I prefer the Goldilocks of uncovered paved in Lot A up front. Upon arrival, scan your CBX ticket and boarding pass (you can link them and just scan boarding pass as well, but don't need to). Same on the way back.
