I meet Kelvin, a man among men and a car rental genius as far as I'm concerned. Sr Rep for Thrifty, Kelvin finds me a Dodge Caravan, the most deluxe mom van I've ever seen. I was on my way and into the zone where I spent the next 10+ days. I cannot recommend these good people highly enough. They came to my aid in a time of real need and did it with a smile. However, shortly after, her credit card was charged $500 for a windshield replacement--without any explanation, documentation, or prior notification. She did not sign anything acknowledging damage, and at no point did a rock or any object hit the windshield. The windshield was completely intact at the time of return. This was an unauthorized, fraudulent charge.

When we arrived at the airport I checked their app and it showed they had no cars to rent out, but I went to the shack in the garage anyway and the guy working there was able to still help us. Pricing was very reasonable as well! Car selection is basic though, as they don't have the Emerald Isle here, which I'm spoiled by and I don't like when it's not available. But the car we got was fairly decent (though something I've never ever select again). Service from the staff here was great too. Definitely a National Car Rental that's spot-on!

I have had SEVERAL times where I needed help changing a vehicle for issues and NEVER had them not help me. Last night I rented a full size vehicle ...and as I packed the car ... realized the car didn't have enough room for all the college son's items. I went back to the airport (at 9:30pm) and told the agent (Donovan) my situation. His reply "let me see what I can do for you". There was no pushback and he quickly looked at what he had in stock. He looked at my preferred account and was able to upgrade to a larger vehicle because they had one in stock (mind you when I got the vehicle at 11:00am-I was told no because at that time they didn't have any available and were very very busy). This is only one story of how they helped me. Last night was such a save for me. I had to leave a review. Are the lines long ...yes. Avis gives cheaper rentals from what I see here at Pensacola (or maybe it is because they are linked with Budget). Have I ever got a dirty vehicle...once, and was able to exchange it before leaving the garage. But customer support....5 stars. Donovan is not the only helpful person I have had interaction with ... other agents and garage techs are great. Does the counter get "flooded" when planes de-board ... yes, but I have never had them be "not nice or not helpful".

Although it took 30 mins to get to the front of the line, it felt like forever and it was so frustrating after travelling 3000 miles. There were two ladies working the counter and I could tell they tried to do their best to accommodate everyone. Because it was also late in the afternoon on a Saturday, our car of choice wasn't available. We were assigned a beautiful muscle car -- a two door, Dodge Challenger which got a lot of compliments during the trip, but hard to handle and hard to manage blind spots. Would have still preferred a Japanese or German vehicle. Nevertheless, it was an "OK" experience but based on that, I'll be going through another company when I'm back to visit my family.

The ladies that checked us in were very friendly and even though she had some significant issues with the credit card machine working she was able to resolve these efficiently and was very nice about the whole situation. We were walked out to our car which ended up being a much nicer car than I had paid for so I was very excited to end up in a nice size Dodge SUV. The car was clean and we were quickly on our way. Check in on the way back in as easy because you just drop the keys in an outdoor check box and head on your way. I would definitely rent from this company again!

This was followed by calling customer service and being on hold 15 minutes. Following that, the standard answer was "there's nothing I can do about it." After much coaxing I was told a manger would call me. He did and his response was the same - "there's nothing I can do about it." Really this is customer service? Got an email and several calls from some Ezra lady early Saturday that to extend she wanted to charge $240 a day. I bluntly and firmed told her several times that was NOT what Douglas promised me. So after 5 phone calls she said go see Douglas (like I had time for that crap) but I did. Where I was met with. whole different person. Not helpful, worst customer service. He then told me he had "other reservations" come in and would not extend the rental. So long story short I had a full weekend, and he was leaving me stranded at the airport with no car. To say I was livid is an huge understatement. I do NOT recommend these crooked people.
