I decided I wanted to take my front windows darker to combat the Las Vegas sun. Everything went well, the windows look great but as I sat down in the driver seat, I noticed black on my passenger side window. I got out to take a look and noticed that my entire window stripping had been melted. I asked the sweet lady at the front if they use heat guns when removing/installing and she confirmed they did (they had to remove the previous tint). She went into the back and brought out another lady and I explained that my window stripping did not look like this when I got there. She since has told me that this was not because of them, it's because of the sun and heat when rolling my window up and down. Mind you, their establishment is indoors, so if it wasn't like that when I gave it to them, there is only one way it could have happened. They did not offer me any sort of discount, or even an apology. Unfortunately, due to this incident, I will not be returning to this establishment. $200 and a melted window stripping later, I'll now have to pay to get this replaced. **UPDATE: they have since reached out and apologized and have offered to cover the cost of replacement.**

However, this consultation took about an hour, and by 11:00 AM, our vehicle had still not been started, despite having a set appointment. We were told the job would take approximately 2-3 hours due to the windshield tint, so we left and expected a call once the work was complete. Unfortunately, we did not receive any updates throughout the day. By 4:00 PM, after finishing work, we returned to the shop only to find that our car had still not been worked on. At around 4:15 PM, it was clear the vehicle hadn't even been started, and the installers were just returning from a break. We were then told there had been an "issue" with the windshield and that it would take "about another hour." Ultimately, we didn't receive our car until around 7:00 PM -- nearly nine hours after our scheduled appointment time. While the staff remained courteous throughout, the overall experience was very disappointing. The primary concerns were the lack of communication and inaccurate time estimates. If there had been delays, we would have appreciated proactive updates rather than having to return and discover the situation ourselves. Additionally, the pricing was not particularly discounted compared to other shops, which made the experience feel even less justified. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Polar Tint. While the customer service demeanor was friendly, the significant delays and lack of communication made the process frustrating and inconvenient.

Brian understood the assignment immediately, walked me through the VLT math on the factory glass, and helped me land on a film combination that got the closest match physically possible without going below the legal limit up front.
