After contacting multiple tint shops around Vegas we settled with Smartfilm. I wanted to tint my partner's 2019 Subaru Forester for this upcoming summer heat. We ended up the XPEL XR PLUS 96% IR rejection for the sides, rear, and front. I wanted visibility to still be clear enough for my partner to drive home from work during the evenings. After driving it around in the summer heat I can say that it's been amazing at blocking out heat! My 2015 Subaru STI has limo tint and doesn't block heat like this film does. Waited a couple weeks to review the XR Plus Ceramic Tint on my 2025 Toyota Prius Prime! Smartfilm did all 5 windows, the windshield, and the two panoramic fixed roof glass pieces. I was not 100% sold on spending all the extra coin on the top tier ceramic tint....I've gotten away with the basics for over 20 years and multiple vehicles. But now that I've owned the car for weeks in Vegas Summer, YES, the XR Plus is worth the extra money! My car is garage kept, but leaving it out in the sun during work appts / store runs are no issue. I use a Heatshield for the windshield while outdoors, and I can literally sit in the car comfortably to start it in 110+ Vegas heat. I can start driving with no wait, and I do not get pummeled with hair drier temp vent air! Yes, you do feel less heat radiating through the glass...but the real life difference is that your AC doesn't have to work nearly as hard while getting cooked in the sun. Your personal items in the car won't get baked to stupid high temperatures. You won't be sweating in your car on initial startups or feeling heat while driving. I have 5 vehicles but only one with ceramic tint....there is a huge difference. For me, that was worth spending 4x the amount of regular tint. YMMV As far as Smartfilm itself, the install was done professionally and meticulously. Very good attention to detail, no imperfections found. No dirty water marks, no trash, no surprises found after install. You're in good hands, whether you decide to spend the extra money for the XR plus or basic tint. read more

They know the law too, because no one wants to be fined for having their windows tinted beyond the legal limit. SmartFilm was also mindful of my time constraints, and got me in and out in less time than it took to watch Gladiator II (BTW, how did they get a dozen great white sharks into the Coliseum in 200 AD?
