I initially left a good review because I thought Ace Towing did me a solid by taking me to a mechanic and helping me get home safely- but unfortunately things turned out differently. Turns out the tow truck driver took us to an unlicensed mechanic who wrongfully told us that my car was a total loss and tried to convince me to sell it to them for nothing. Luckily, I decided to have Ace towing take it ~300 miles back to my personal mechanic who found a way to save it by- wait for it-REPLACING THE BATTERY! I ended up having to file a claim with the California bureau of automotive repair to get the $1500 I spent on towing and diagnostics from the unlicensed mechanic they brought me to. Perhaps this was just a bad judgement call on the driver's part and not a purposeful attempt to collude with the mechanic and scam me out of a perfectly good vehicle... I'm not sure. But regardless of their intent, I think it's highly irresponsible of them to suggest and tow me to an unlicensed mechanic. read more

Thank goodness for Glenn from Ace Towing. After our rental was stuck at the gas station for 4.5 hours Glenn showed up and helped me and my family and took us all the way to Phoenix. He was so patient because I had two kids with us even let us stop to use the restroom. We couldn't thank him enough for just being there helping us. read more

Emphasis on recovery! We got our van stuck in sand off road about 30 miles south of Blythe. After numerous attempts and successes getting unstuck and then re-stuck, we called Ace. Yes indeed they have the equipment and skills to get your vehicle out of a predicament in the desert. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. read more

I was stuck out in the middle of nowhere past 2 washes in Yuma and they were able to get me out with no issues. There is no tow company in Yuma that could even get near my location. They had a 4x4 winch that pulled me out with no problem. If you get caught off road in need, then Ace is the place. A+++ read more

Brian and Glen were awesome! My husband and I were stuck in the desert several miles out on a dirt road with choppy cell service and it was getting close to dark and we were completely stuck in the middle of nowhere, and it was hot and we barely had any water left. The tow truck companies I initially called in the area said they could not come out there with a 4x4 to rescue us because they weren't equipped with the vehicle needed. No other company could help us. I'm not familiar with the area, so I kept checking around and eventually called Ace and they came to our rescue and were very reassuring and very nice guys. A long overdue review from April 2022. Glen with Ace Towing was an absolute gem. While this tow was set up through my car insurance, I couldn't be happier with who showed up to help me. When Glen arrived I was on the phone, unable to give him my full attention; he took the initiative to start getting my car set up for transport and then did what most wouldn't do and agreed to a destination nearly 75 miles farther than originally intended. This means an extra pause to get clearance from both my insurance company and his supervisor, time he didn't make me feel bad for taking. He provided some insight into my dilemma and affirmed that he would get me where I needed to be despite the distance. Not only was he knowledgeable and safe about the situation, but he was respectful and sympathized with me, offering to give me a lift to my original destination after dropping off my car at the dealership. Absolute zero incentive for him to do this other than a heart! Spending more than 2 hours in a car with someone, you're going to talk and well, Glen is one funny, big-hearted dude. ATV rolled down the side of a hill and was stuck in a tight ravine. Handle bars were broken and terrain was loose and slick so dangerous situation if you didn't have a wench or the correct equipment. Absolutely awesome service! We ran out of Gas on a Sunday night at 11pm only 1 mile from the nearest gas station. I called Ace, not only did they charge half the price, they were out in 10 minutes. In January I was driving from Arizona to California when I blew my back tire and my electrical system in my car on the highway. BMW assist called Ace towing to pick up my car. They were great!!! They came and tried everything to get me back on the road but the car was not moving. Being 2.5 hours from either Phoenix or Oceanside and no way to get out of town. They drove me to a hotel in the city and made sure to get me any discounts possible. The next day they towed my car back to The Phoenix BMW and even found my $350 sun glasses that I had lost. They were very helpful and really nice and went the extra mile for me. I would recommend them to everyone. As a business owner, I know that great service is hard to find but in this case, they are number 1! read more

Do not use Ace Towing or Ace Auto Repair in Blythe, CA. The nightmare begins with my wife breaking down in Chiriaco Summit, Ca 30 miles from Indio. My insurance Roadside Assistance coverage sent my wife Ace Towing who is affiliated with Ace Auto repair in Blythe, CA 67 mile east of my wife's location. So the standard question was asked "do u know where u wanna take it?", of course my wife has no clue not knowing the area and responds "No". At this point any reputable individual would state 30 miles to the west is Indio with many auto repair shops but no the driver suggest his affiliated shop 67 miles in the opposite direction. This cost me $100 cash in extra towing fees and $95 diagnostic fee (the diagnostic fee is standard) The diagnostic itself was not standard. I have no clue, as the receipt and form attached state no diagnostic, nothing... just that one was done??? So no diagnostic as to what is wrong with the car, all Ace Auto Repair technicians did was give verbal possibilities to my wife of what may be wrong, nothing is documented on the receipt/form. If you are in the Blythe area and your Insurance Co. sends you Ace Towing don't take the tow and don't take your car to Ace Auto repair in Blythe their practices are untrustworthy and thieving. my car was taken and when I went to get my things stuff was missing. they claimed they can't give u back any chemicals or liquids from your v but yet they have me back my body spray lotions and hand sanitizer and they kept my brand new pack or window wipes, car air freshener spray. they also took about $20 in change I had in the center of my car. when the lady showed me pictures of my car of course they don't show those items because the magically didn't take a picture of we're it was. they also took my dads handicap pass and the dmv paper for it. they claimed it was in there but I had just used it the day before and my dad could only ride in that vehicle. they would not let me go get it from the vehicle because they stated no one could go with me to get it out of the car. that said they would call me back the next day. surprise they never called. so now I have to report it stollen by this company so if it gets used they will be in trouble. this is for there Colton office. I could understand if we didn't come get the stuff but we did. it's sad that people steal while there supposed to be working. I guess towing means take what u want. read more

I wanted to tell my experience with this outstanding auto repair service shop in Blythe, Ca. I was in a complete jam when my starter went out in my Honda Civic. I was about to go to leave for San Diego Wednesday morning at 5:00 a.m. when the car would not start. I asked the hotel manager at the Best Western where I was staying who I could call. She said the only 24 hour place was right up the street from the hotel. I have to say, I have never had better customer service ever, especially being out of town and an Auto Repair Shop at that. They came and towed my car right of way, and within an hour or so called and told me what the problem was, how long it would take , the cost and they were super nice, as I had explained my situation to them they accomadated me at every request. Lisa and Kathleen who work there, are top notch customer service friendly and the mechanics are also very honest and straightforward and friendly. I would recommend anyone driving in thru the Ca, Az area if ever you need help, CALL ACE!! read more

My husband noticed a crack in our radiator just after midnight while at a gas station in Quatzsite. Within 2 hours we were fortunate enough to find Ace throughy mom. We were met at the shop at almost 2am, brought to a motel along with our puppy, and given incredible customer service. We knew we were in good hands once we got to Ace and are now safely on our way. do not use their services. all they care is for your money. i was overcharged $250 (two hours labor) for driver going back to shop (24 miles away) to get a hammer and chisel. no evidence of this simple tools being used, this happened january 2015. most driver's carry this simple tools in their tool box or compromise using similar tools to perform the job. driver did not mention needing a hammer or chisel, he left and came back two hous later. i was threaten by driver that my vehicle was going to get towed by them if i did not pay and the cost would be in the thousands. after calling the owner for explanation, owner said he was going to call me back with an answer or explanation. i have called and left several messages with no answer. read more
