Ran into some trouble on the way from Phoenix to Los Angeles and the staff here couldn't have been more helpful!

While camping along the Colorado River just across the CA/AZ border from Blythe I found myself stranded. The starter on my car finally gave up the ghost after 11 years. I called on Saturday and told them my problem. They said it would take a few days to get the part in so we arranged for the repair Wednesday morning. Luckily I carry enough food and water for 2 weeks. Tow truck companies only send their trucks on paved road. I was 3.7 miles down a county maintained gravel road. After considering being towed to the pavement by a 4X4 and then by a tow truck, they decided they could send out a truck pulling a flat bed trailer. This cut my towing cost in half!!! Not a typical towing call, that's for sure. I asked for a tune up since the car was already in their shop. No problem. I needed new spark plugs and they recommended replacing the serpentine belt as well. They accomplished the work in the estimated amount of time AND they were very accommodating to me and my mini pig Kevin. Like I said, not your typical towing & repair job. My car randomly started stalling on my 6hr drive home. After a state trooper escorted me off the freeway, we saw that few auto shops were open on Sunday. The owner, Dawn, found a way to get us a mechanic who did an incredible job at fixing my car's knock sensor. He also was the one who drove us to Dawn's while she towed my car. They both kept me calm and were the nicest people!! Also, the cost to do it all was so wonderfully reasonable. I couldn't believe the great service & great value. Crossing over to Arizona, I pulled over to take a picture of "welcome to Arizona". Wouldn't you know it? I ran over a bolt or something that ended up blowing out my tire a few miles later. I normally would change my own tire, but there wasn't much of a shoulder off the road, and the traffic (to me) felt dangerous. I called Auto Club who dispatched Chris from Blye Freeway Towing. He did an outstanding job. He came to my rescue within the hour and told me to stay in the car while he fixed my flat. He even took my suitcases out of the trunk and removed all the needed equipment. Incredible Service! We were on our long trek from Phoenix to San Francisco and stopped in Blythe for some gas. Once we realized our car wouldn't start- we immediately went to YELP to find the best place in town. After looking at the reviews, we thought we would give them a shot. Thank God we did!! After being towed to the shop, the nice gals told us of a yummy sandwich shop next door. We are there till the diagnostic was done and found out our expedition needed a new fuel pump. It was now 2:00 pm and we were told it could take 3 hours but they would try to get it done before closing. At 4:30 they called us and had it ready to go! Absolutely the worst service. Refusing to tow us even through our insurance, or to rent out a car dolley. The lady told us she "didn't recommend it" and now refusing to rent to us. First off the tow truck driver was terrific, professional and friendly and the mechanics also polite and professional and knew their stuff. The downfall is Natasha V who is in charge of customer service and dispatch. We had arranged for AAA to tow our broken down (blew an engine) Civic about 188 miles away to Ontario. My husband went to pay for the diagnostic charge and release the car to AAA tow driver and Natasha never bothered to tell him as he was sitting in front of her that the tow truck would not be coming because it was too many miles and the trucks were needed for other tows. She never said that SHE had cancelled the AAA call and meanwhile AAA is frantically trying to find me a tow truck driver and she's making my husband sit there thinking one is coming. When the AAA dispatcher asked Natasha if she told anyone she cancelled the call she told them "no I only discussed payment for diagnostic service" When my husband asked her why she didnt tell him she said "its AAA responsibility not mine" Not once did she offer to help in ANY WAY. As I'm scrambling in LA to make other arrangements, renting a Uhaul with tow dolly, my husband is still sitting there and it turns out Natasha is also the Uhaul rep! Not once during our conversation does she say "Hey its Natasha I know you're the Civic owner and let me help you" I then talk to my husband and he says "its Natasha you set up the Uhaul with!" Natasha also insisted on a $30 fee to swap out the flat tire with the spare when it should be covered under a AAA service call. Even one of the mechanics was telling her to bill AAA! AAA dispatch calls her and tells her not to charge the $30 to count it as a service call. Everyone else but her were beyond helpful in helping my husband load up the Civic. When I called Natasha the next day, she never answered why she let my husband sit there and then when I asked her why she didnt identify herself as the same person I had been speaking with since last week for the Uhaul , she claimed she didnt know who I was (even though we had multiple conversations since June 30th and she could see my phone number) I told her that's ridiculous with my husband there, me saying what I needed the car for "to tow the civic that AAA cant tow" etc. Then she got angry and hung up on me. Bottom line, the worst experience ever but only with Natasha. All she had to do was simply say "sorry no tow truck is coming, let me see if I can help with a solution" Instead she was fixated on a $98 diagnostic fee (which we paid right away first thing) and a $30 tire fee. No way is this how a AAA authorized business operates and a person who hangs up on you when you're simply requesting information is not professional. read more

We have a 24 foot C Class motorhome and has a tire blow out about 65 miles west of Blythe CA. Marshall came to our rescue. It did take holiness awhile to arrive, but we were pretty far out. He arrived and helped my husband change the tire. Fortunately our spare is new. Then he helped my husband survey the damage to make sure once back on the road everything was buttoned down well. Avoid this company - After my fuel pump went out, I called Blythe Freeway Towing to tow me to a dealer. Ronnie (the owner) showed up, lifted my vehicle, started to drive off and dropped my vehicle. The front end of my vehicle hit the rear end of the tow truck on the way down. Ronnie left me stranded and I had to call another tow company. Ronnie won't return my many calls to discuss the damage to my vehicle. It's very disappointing when a person makes a costly mistake and even more disappointing when they don't take accountability. The last occasion was especially good as they drove me around town to a couple of different places helping me find a place to leave my truck for repairs. Took an overnight, but only because of a part delay from Phoenix. Spent the night next door at BW, used dinner across street, and nice speciality beer pub across the street. Leaving the river and my Tahoe broke down at 11:30am. I Called AAA and they dispatched Blythe Freeway Towing. The Rep at AAA said they would have a tow truck by 1:45. Well, AAA was wrong! Tow truck showed up 12 minutes later at 11:42!! We were so shocked! I thought maybe he was on another call but nope he was there for me! The Driver went through all my towing options (I was 158 miles from home). Driver told me they had a repair shop and they could get a mechanic on it right away. I was a little worried because it was a holiday weekend (4th of July). Which means Holiday pricing everywhere. Had the Tahoe towed to the shop and the shop office said they would give me a call with their diagnostics. I figured it would probably be a couple hours so I took the family to a nearby restaurant to eat and kill some time. We were 1/2 way into eating our food and again I was shocked when I get a call from the shop office saying the repairs where made and my Tahoe was ready to go! Finished lunch, walked over and the Tahoe was waiting for me! I went in and paid for my repairs and when she tells me the cost, I figured they made a mistake. Very fair repair bill! The mechanic explained the repairs and I was on my way. We were amazed at the quality of service we received! From the pick up to repair time to price! If you are ever in Blythe or near there and need a repair or you break down ,this is the place to go. We broke down and they arrived within one hour to tow us. They are AAA approved. When we got to the shop my hood was open and the mechanic was already working on it within 15 minutes. It was late in the day and the repair could not be fixed by closing. They tried really hard. We found a nice little motel across the street called Emerald Inn. Look for that in a different review. In the morning they finish the job within an hour and a half of opening,and then we are on our way. This is a great shop.If you use these guys you will not be disappointed. read more

Oh my gosh, THESE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!! On my way from Oro Valley, AZ to Nevada City CA, the Serpentine belt busted in my truck. Had my truck towed to this shop, they looked at my truck within 30 minutes, and had a quote for repairs in less than 1 hour. They also called Napa and filed a claim for me, the belt was replaced in Jan of this hear. Then.....I was told that the right front tire needed to be replaced, I was told.."it was either damaged by the tow service or here at the shop" they will replace the tire for free!! My sons car died in Blythe while returning from the LA area to Phoenix. It was basically across the street so it wasn't far - but 'BFT' recovered it to their lot and despite this being a holiday weekend and their being technically closed (except for towing services) they had a mechanic who was working of a truck take a look at it. Things didn't look too good for a same day fix. Needing to be back at work the next day my Son couldn't find any rental cars available that day. 'BFT' also runs the U-Haul rentals site there - and though they were also closed - they opened up for him to rent a truck as a last resort to get home. This wasn't ideal but it did the job! Subsequently they evaluated the car and the cost to fix it (detailed breakdown) but for the age of the car it just wasn't really cost effective to repair. We eventually made arrangements to independently donate (salvage) the truck but it took several more weeks for the details to be worked out and the car to be collected. BFT sent the garage door opener that was left in the car to us in the mail as requested - and charged us only for the diagnostics (less than $100). I was very happy with their service - above & beyond. Not great to lose a car, and difficult to manage the details when you live 200 miles away - but it was handled very professionally and helpfully. read more

Rented a U-Haul over the phone Natosha was extremely helpful. Realized I needed a different size truck three days later. Called back and she took care of it without a problem. We picked up the truck and found the door was broken. We took it back and they were so friendly. Apologize to us for the mistake and gave us a new truck without any question or problem. The people at this service station are friendly and very accommodating. You often hear about repair shops ripping people off for needless repairs. This service station is the diametric opposite of that stereotype. My wife had accidentally put diesel in our Honda. They flushed the engine, changed the spark plugs, charged us a very reasonable rate and got us back on the road ASAP. The tow was fine, the driver was friendly and polite. The bad experience was with the dispatcher. She was rude, didn't listen to me when I explained I was hauling a uhaul trailer and then insisted that I never told her. It also seemed like I was being put on mute on her end as the phone would go dead silent numerous times leaving me to wonder if we had been disconnected. We were on our way home from Arizona late in the afternoon on a Friday and our pickup suddenly quit on the 10 freeway about 25 miles west of Blyth. We called AAA & they sent Blyth freeway towing. It was about 106 degrees, so we were extremely happy to see the tow truck drive up. The owner was extremely service minded. After dropping our truck at his shop, he took us to a restaurant where we could wait for our ride. We called the next day and he already had it fixed. He made a very inconvenient time more bearable. Our car broke down while traveling from LA to Phoenix. We broke down about 15miles past Blythe and the closest tow company was Blythe Freeway Towing and repair. They were extremely helpful and had a tow truck out to us within 30minutes. They towed us back to their repair shop, and even though it was late in the day they checked out the car. They were very professional and gave us their recommendation, which was that we needed to take it to a brand dealership due to recalls on the vehicle which may be the problem. We needed to have it towed to the dealership over 100 miles away. The dealership was getting ready to close and so was Blythe Freeway. We did not k ow what to do at that point. The two decent hotels near by were full due to Covid restrictions and we were at a loss. We called family to come from Phoenix to pick us up which was going to take approx 2 hours so we were going to be out on the street with all our luggage which was a lot. The staff at Blythe Towing and repair was so kind. They told us they would keep our car in their garage overnight, until we decided what to do. They also allowed us to put our belongings in one of their uhaul trucks so that we could lock it up when we decided to go get something to eat while we were waiting for our family. It had been a long day! Everyone there was so kind and so understanding of our situation. And we can't thank them enough. We would highly recommend their services. read more

Brought in car to have a tune up due to check engine light.BFT seemed to fix the problem at a substantial price not expecting, but went with it! Took time (4days) to get tune up parts for an easy fix! One week later, my check engine light came on again and when I took it back, though it was the exact same code, BFT quoted me another bill to fix new problem stating different part was needed! I took car back to my local repair shop who is great, but couldn't do original work at the time due to availability and time frame needed. They informed me after analysis and some tightening screws that the problem is that BFT used an inferior after market product that is conducive with original parts! I now have or order original part from Dealer and wasted time and money. Don't waste ur time getting nickeled and dimed. Go somewhere else! I'm not saying that they can't fix cars and certain things well, but my experience is that they are deceptive and try to get extra money out of you read more

I've been driving for 20 years and this was the best experience I've ever had with a mechanics shop in that entire period of time. I was driving from Phoenix to San Bernardino by myself a couple of months ago, and my low oil pressure light came on outside Blythe. I stopped at a rest stop and confirmed that I had zero oil in my car anymore. I called AAA and they had me towed to Blythe Freeway Towing & Repair. As a single woman with only very basic knowledge of cars, I've gotten used to being lied to and taken advantage of by dishonest mechanics. More than once I've been charged for something and later on found out that either there was a less expensive fix, or what I was told was wrong actually wasn't the issue at all. Anyway, I was towed to the shop at 4:53pm on a Friday evening so I knew nothing was going to be able to be done that night. I got a motel room across the street, and had an entire night to consider all the things that might be wrong with my car and how much it would all cost! Well, after all that stressing what they found was actually a very inexpensive and quick fix! After all was said and done I was sent on my way with a bill of only $113. It was actually $125 but Cody, the mechanic made sure to ask if I had a AAA card because I was eligible for a discount which knocked it down to $113. I told them later that I was well aware I was a single woman with a broken car stuck in the middle of the desert with essentially no other options. If Cody had been a different type of person, or if the company was a different type of company, they could have easily told me that any number of more expensive things were wrong with my car, and what other options would I have had? That's not what happened though, and for that I am eternally grateful. If I am anywhere within 100 miles of Blythe the next time I break down or have car trouble, I would not hesitate to get towed here again.
