My 12 year old son dropped of some Pokemon cards to be graded with their new PSA grading service. Over three months later, and the cards haven't come back, clearly having been lost or stolen. The local store refuses to do anything, pointing us to corporate help. The corporate help phone number, which forwards you to somebody very nice in India, says to talk to the local store. So, my poor kid is out the money for the grading, and he's lost about $200 worth of his cards he spent years collecting. Absolutely disgusting business practices, with nobody taking responsibility and a little kid getting screwed over. We're done shopping here. read more

I purchased a steam gift card for Xmas. The gift card was stolen I asked about replacement the clerk told me I'd have to reach out online. I sent email to GameStop they told me they were sorry the card was stolen and told me to provide the card number and a valid email address. When I sent them the info, Christina sent me an email right back saying all gift card sales are final, it doesn't say this anywhere on receipt. So I called the 800 number that was on email and the guy from the GameStop 800 number LIED to me and said he checked his system and the card had already been used, I told him no it hasn't she just sent me an email and she would have said it. Then he changed his story again and said the policy says all steam sales are final he was told it doesn't say it on the receipt, he told me to go to the GameStop store and ask for the policy, he was told I went to store originally and they told me to use email. I then asked for a manager, he put me on hold came back a few minutes later and said the manager went home for the day. I went to this GameStop looking to trade in an Xbox game for.a new game. Their selection of new Xbox games were okay, just the major releases. The store is easy to navigate and each console gaming section is clearly marked. I went on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all and the salesperson helped me out right away. I got the standard credit for my trade-in and the whole process took less than five minutes. If I needed to get my hands on a popular game right away I would consider coming back. read more

Other than that it seems to be a pretty standard video game store. The people are pretty friendly and they seem to hold on to some deals longer than other stores. It never came wich We completely understand but what I do not understand is an employee been so rude to my boys, his name is Wellesly, when my kids asked him what time was the delivery to be expected, He gave them a veryy mean and rude attitude to say that the He did not know. Walked in because I was I interested in trading an old iPhone for an Xbox one s. There's an offer to get an additional 50 bucks with a trade so I inquired. The dude immediately said his machine was down? So he can't take tech trades. Ok. Then I asked how much an Xbox 1 s 1 tb was and he told me $350. Lol. So they just boost the price of the console and take your phone and it's not really a deal at all. The same console at target is $280 right now. The guy was completely disinterested in talking to me. The store was totally devoid of customers and after reading all the other reviews and having this encounter, I think I know why. Steer clear of this place if at all possible. Went into GameStop in Chelsea Mass on Sunday December 10th 2017. Wanted to make a return on an item I had received as a gift. I didn't have the receipt, and was not looking to get cash back for the item, because I frequent GameStop and Think Geek on a regular basis. The item I was returning was completely sealed never opened. I first spoke to 1 employee, and he scanned my item. Noticing it was $89.99, he immediately gave me a look like I had stolen the item. Very unprofessional. He then called the manger, Jose over, when he saw the item, he immediately told me that he couldn't return the item. I looked up the store policy online, and they can do returns on items without the receipt. So not only did the employee, but the manager made me feel quite uncomfortable as well. Crappy customer service, very unprofessional. I then called customer service to make a complaint. read more

Terrible customer service. The kid behind the register seemed to hate life and when he was asked to obtain an item for us he proceeded to stop to show his friend something on his phone. It took 20 minutes to trade in a couple items and purchase new ones. The fellow employee even asked us if we needed anything because he saw the initial employee busy with his friend.
