Everything about the food was pretty on point, and the presentation was the biggest highlight, but the price was simply too high to justify the portions of a lot of dishes, which is why I have decided to give this establishment a 4 instead of 5 stars, but if one doesn't mind the price, then I think this spot is worth a visit and even repeated visits. For the ropa vieja, the beef was very tender since it was slow-cooked for 5 hours, and the tomato sauce offered a good flavor addition. I added black beans to the dish as well which I would highly recommend for others to do the same. My partner had the day's catch and was offered a piece of fish which was pretty delicious, but for $30 it was a bit too much. The picadillo a la habanera had good criolla sauce, which defined the flavor of the dish. We ordered a flan and an arroz con leche as well, and both desserts were tasty and decorated beautifully, especially the golden sugar crust on the arroz con leche, which almost resembled the crème brûlée sugar top. In terms of drinks, the piña colada didn't taste like an alcoholic drink, which could be a hit or miss depending on who's having it. The guava juice tasted very fresh, which subsequently made it not very sweet, which we were more than okay with. I also felt like the instructions for water were not very clear, because it seemed like my partner was led on to believe that still water was free, but we were charged $14 for it at the end. There was also a 20% service fee which I clarified with the waiter that it didn't count as tip. However, the suggested gratuity was roughly 7% to 12% based on the bill. All this information is simply to keep other customers aware. The food was still pretty on point above all else.

Enjoyed a coffee pick me up here, with all our beverages absolutely fantastic (and rather indulgent). We really enjoyed the traditional wheat milkshake (Batido De Trigo), which tasted like an elevated cereal milk!! It was lovely sitting outside, and we didn't feel rushed. Food looked great, but we had unfortunately just eaten!

We tried the ropa vieja empanada and chicken empanada for a light breakfast with the cortadito coffee. The ropa vieja was savory and rich. The vibes were bright and Laura provided excellent service. Ache is a great way to start the day in Wynwood!

I needed a coffee that was close to my hotel in Wynwood... took a walk and landed upon La Colada. Ended up getting a strong AF coffee, delicious empanada, and a cigar for the mister. lol. That's right. They have cigars here. This was truly an epic experience. I would have stayed longer if I had had more time in my morning to do so. I would have had a full blown breakfast. Lol. But instead, I did get a chicken empanada which was packed with delicious shredded chicken, marinated in a tomato based seasoning (it tasted like). And my latte which I got with oat milk definitely hit the spot. It was bold and strong like a Cuban. ;) love that their coffee beans are Cuban!!!! Miry and Maylin are the ones that kept us fed and entertained. Loved their energy. And I love the way the restaurant is decorated where it gives a tropical, Cuban feel, right in Wynwood!!!! They have another location in Little Miami which I will be visiting next time. Even got to meet the owner, Ernesto. Such a great guy!

Five stars just for a Cafecito? If we're talking about colada gourmet in Wynwood, yes! My lady I stopped by a couple of weekends back during our Wynwood staycation. Between walking around looking at the art and a long fun club night, i certainly needed an extra boost. The Cafecito was well presented and definitely nice and strong. The five stars come because the owner who happen to be in the store, took time out to tell us about his two locations and how the Wynwood store has wine, pairing dinners regularly. We're certainly looking forward to trying that.

This is the best place to eat in Miami. We came in for breakfast and had an incredible experience, the food was impeccable. The service was very friendly and attentive. This is one of my favorite spots in Wynwood and you MUST stop by if you can. Here is what you need to know: 1. THE PASTELITOS!!! Top notch. Guayaba y queso is what you must get every single time. One of my favorites in the city. 2. Guava matcha.... just as excellent as the coffee options 3. You can post up with your laptop and enjoy snacks 4. Croquetas are also delicious 5. The staff here is SO nice. They made it really feel like home. It is a top cafe in the area. Honestly, the pastelitos are better than Versailles..

A must for the Coffee lovers! Don't hesitate every specialty coffee is pretty great! favorite was the Tres leches yummmm it has leche condensada. This place was super close to our hotel and I wanted to eat Cuban food before I left Miami. This place is adorable and we got seated right away. Started with the chorizo croquettes. These were my absolute favorite thing I ate. Full of flavor and perfection. We also got the ropa vieja empanadas. They were good too. We split the Cuban sandwich and it was exactly as it should be. About halfway through our meal they seated the table next to us. The place is small but the tables were so close that when the server came over to talk to them her butt cheeks were on our table and on my utensils. That is too close in my opinion. Thankfully at that point we were eating the sandwich and I was not using my utensils. I will say that the server at our table was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back but hope that my table isn't as close next time.

Who can say no to a coffee that says has a smile? My gentleman friend ... needed an extra boost so we peaked in for coffee.( cafesito) The restaurant is nice and cozy. Well lighted. It had a few tables inside. I believe there may have been outdoor seating. They have a good selection of Wine display. Towards the back they have a nice coffee bar. We were curious on the menu since we actually only stopped for coffee. ( we ate prior across the street) The waiter informed the owner. The owner came to introduce himself and explained the menu and the dishes he has to offer! He informed us that he has another location in Little Havana but that only offers coffee. The Wynwood location offers food. The chef at the restaurant is a woman! He said that she cooks amazingly! He was describing the dishes and I wanted to sit down to eat again! I thought it was nice that the owner came to talk to us and gave us some background history on the restaurant. I can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner! By the sounds of it I'll make sure I'll go with an appetite! By the way the coffee was perfect! Reason for a 4 rating since we did not eat!

Visited Miami last week for the first time and stumbled upon this spot. The server was great and they were able to accommodate our larger party ( that included kids) despite the Resturant being rather small. The coffees came out pretty quickly and were really great, the perfect amount of sweetness. The food came out right after and while it was fresh and sizable, the flavor was a bit different than expected. This sandwich came with your typical Cuban filling except it has sweet pickles rather than savory, which we were not expecting. The sandwich also came with some sort of sauce, however it was such a tiny amount and really added nothing to the dish. The fries on the other hand were perfectly crispy. We also ordered tostones which were light and crispy and came with a tiny portion of sauce that was really lacking flavor. Overall, I think the Resturant is subpar. The best items are going to be coffee and small bites. read more

First things first, the customer service is immaculate. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by a helpful server. She was patient while we took forever deciding what we wanted (everything on the menu sounds great). The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The drinks were perfect and crafted with care. I had multiple things here, but I would like to highlight the pancakes. IT IS THE BEST I have ever had. We ordered the BBB pancakes, and to our surprise it turned out to be the best pancakes. It was buttery, mildly sweet and the syrup was out of the world. I would highly highly highly recommend getting it. services so good and setting aslo good . The avocado tostado was good too. Food was great -- however, we had a poor experience with the service. Other customers that came in 20-30 minutes after us had gotten their food before us. We had been seated for over an hour before we got our food (Cubano + eggs benedict). Servers were dismissive/unresponsive, and did not keep us updated or apologize for the slow service. A staff member after our meal mentioned there was new management recently, so maybe steer clear for a little while until they figure out the service. read more

A must try! They have the most friendly and amazing service. They make you feel right at home. The music is also great and creates a fun atmosphere for enjoying your coffee. We tried the bombon - espresso served over condensed milk. It's pretty strong but the milk helps cut the bitterness of the coffee. I recommend it if you like strong coffee. read more

Very cool place! The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining what each item on the menu to us. I suggest sitting in the little outdoor area if the weather is nice! I've been to the one in Little Havana, and loved it, both the coffee and the staff there were excellent. I stopped into the Wynwood location based on that experience. Was just going in for a quick coffee. To be fair, my server noted that this was a sit down and order place, so I was OK with that. Then she asked me if I want water sparkling or still, and I said still, thinking it was a glass of regular water. Then she brought a huge bottle and opened it without waiting for any comment from me. Long story short, I paid for something I didn't want. The empanadas were great, the coffee was solid, but not as good as the one I had in Little Havana, and the service was passive-aggressive and borderline scammy. At least I can always go back to the Little Havana one, that was an awesome place! read more

I had a very unfortunate experience today at La Colada. I stopped in to grab a coffee and soup to go, parking next to what I later realized was the owner's vehicle. I was inside for no more than 15 minutes, yet when I walked out, my car was gone. I was informed that it had likely been towed, and that the building owner actively watches for cars to tow. At no point was I warned about this, and the staff's indifferent attitude only made the experience worse. My $20 purchase felt completely devalued, adding insult to injury. I actively support local businesses--even though I have a Starbucks nearby with free parking for the same coffee price--but it's disappointing that La Colada is aware of this predatory towing situation and does nothing to protect its customers. I ended up paying $180 + Uber to retrieve my car + $20 for a soup and coffee- that I no longer cared for. This kind of negligence will only drive patrons away. A simple gesture, like a warning or even an apology, would have made a difference. Sadly, it's clear that customer service is not a priority here. I'm disappointed that they are not standing up for their patrons and as a result- I don't' see the business lasting but I do hope they will. Although I won't be returning. Best of luck to this business. read more

Where to begin!!? This is the best breakfast experience I've ever had. The coffee is easily the best I've ever had, the food and pastries were outstanding, and the people are the most helpful, kind, and smiley you've ever met. Forget about crappy parking, this place is to die for. Yes, their coffee is more on the expensive side than a diner in Calle Ocho, but it is worth every penny. The baristas are very skilled in what they are doing and it's really a presentation you want. Note their coffees and lattes are STRONG, so you will be wired for a while. I liked their cortaditos and tres leches latte. Empanadas are very filling too. read more

As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the smell of roasted coffee. Our server was very accommodating and helpful, and there was many vegetarian options. The paintings and decorations are very cute; it feels like a cute Cuban coffee shop. The coquettes were REALLY good, especially the chorizo and cilantro ones. The mocha and expresso were good too, not bitter. The omellete was a little bland, and they forgot the cheese. The cuban sandwich and chicken were decent. The ropa vieja was VERY good. The food was just ok and the prices are outrageously high. I had an avocado toast with a side of poached eggs. The bread was a piece of Cuban bread smashed and super hard with very little avocado; a very small portion. Also asked for a mocha late and got a 6oz cafe con leche with chocolate syrup. The coffee tasted burned, just not good, and very small. My receipt showed a total of $29.81 after tax and mandatory 18% service fee. This place is not for me read more

And it did not disappoint. So after on our last day after returning our rental to Hertz this was the closest place for coffee to the 36th St location. When I'm back in the area I will be getting my coffee from here no doubts about it.

As a local, came into this place to see what all the hype is about and it didn't deliver. Asked a barista where do we order since we just wanted coffee and she said for us to sit but would first wipe down the table because it was dirty. No worries though, we sat at the communal table (that was empty). A different barista came to take our order and told us that we had to move away from the communal table. We moved alright, we moved out of the establishment and spent our money elsewhere. Don't waste your time, there's coffee in every other block in Wynwood. read more

After ordering my drinks and receiving them, she felt the need to hold up the line and single me out in front of everyone to inform me that she "wouldn't order" the way I ordered. Not telling me that I couldn't, but that *she* wouldn't. It came across incredibly self-important and petty. For context, I ordered two double espressos and paid an additional $1 for each cup of oat milk on the side. This is on the menu. I didn't ask for anything outrageous, yet she seemed perturbed that I ordered what I paid for. I have a newborn and have replaced oat milk whenever I use 'milk' because my supply has been very low and oats are said to aid in lactation support. I'm pumping breastmilk in the car every time I drive and nursing throughout the day. I'm doing everything in my power to consume as many lactation supporting foods as I can. I PAID FOR IT. I paid nearly $13 for two beverages, I didn't ask for anything free or try to do anything inappropriate. Yet I was treated with such odd hostility from the barista. She even made some comment about it being "a lot of cups", except it was just the two cups of milk where I poured the espresso into. She very simply could have poured the espresso into the cup of milk and ice, but apparently that was not something she was willing to do. So it seems the two little paper espresso cups going to 'waste' are because of her method of preparation and service. I didn't ask for special treatment or any exceptions to be made for me, I ordered off the menu. I paid for the milk and I paid for the espresso. The semantics of what I do with what I pay for is not of the barista's concern. I would encourage some supplemental training or remove oat milk from the menu if customers are going to be spoken to disrespectfully for buying it.
