Whether you love unique, classic cars and/or unique, vintage (and new) guitars, Walt Grace Vintage is a super cool place to visit and peruse in Wynwood Miami, F L A. I don't believe there are any other stores (in the world?) that combine vintage cars and vintage guitars under one roof, but I always thought they were similar in spirit. When I bought my Dakota red telecaster from 1965, I admit that I also pictured a Dakota red classic Mustang from a similar era. I was actually in the market for a new acoustic and with the help of Jeff, tried a number of the new guitars for sale. I didn't buy one that day because I was still looking and visiting stores in south Florida. I think more than any purchase, you have to physically play a guitar to see if it fits you and the sound is appealing. I suppose a lot of people collect guitars without the intent to play them and that's fine, too. The cars are pretty impressive - reminded me of James Bond movies. And the wide range of electric and acoustic guitars are equally impressive; every one of the them has a story to tell. They also sell used and new amplifiers and other merch (including a Cafe!); I'm thinking of bringing in my amplifier for consignment. read more

Thought it'd be a quick stop... nope. Instantly hooked. Sipping a breve flat white alongside a chocolate croissant and an oat-milk capp, surrounded by vintage cars and guitars? Yeah, that escalated quickly. Then they throw in collectible vinyl just to really test your self-control. Come on now. Really neat spot to grab a latte and wander around in Wynwood! I am not a car (or music for that matter) person, but I could still appreciate how wonderfully curated this space was. I loved their apperal options too. They even had an adorable kids section if you were looking to buy a child a souvenir to take home. My husband loved browsing the guitars and checking out the cars. When two worlds collide, matcha and my love for cars. I finally took time to visit Walt Grace Vintage while in Wynwood and ended up spending way more time here than expected. I ordered a matcha latte to accompany my walk around to explore what felt like a hybrid between an art gallery and a vintage showroom. The space is filled with classic cars like Porsches, Ferraris and Jaguars. They were beautifully restored and displayed. Every car feels like it has a story. Alongside the cars are vintage and rare guitars, hung up like museum pieces. Fender is their favorite, literally all over the walls and within their merch. Check out their merch from tshirts, hoodies and hats. They also sell guitars and CARS! Two of them were sold during my visit. The atmosphere is relaxed, but upscale and the staff were friendly. I misinterpreted this place as a vintage clothing store, and the universe rewarded me, a gearhead planning a weekend tour of Miami for my grumpy husband, with this gem. I've never gotten to be this up-close and personal with a Countach or a vintage E-Type; the 348 ts had me living out my Miami Vice moment vicariously. A classy coffee operation is attached, but this place's true product isn't beverages or even the jaw-dropping vintage supercars; it's vibes, Miami vibes, elevated and toned down and bottled for your pleasure. Wynwood is already a hallucination come to life: murals of flamingo-headed astronauts, bars serving $19 beers to influencers in ironic overalls, and traffic that moves slower than a glacier on Xanax. So of course, in the middle of all this neon fever dream, there's a place where you can buy a '65 Mustang and a 1959 Les Paul Standard in the same afternoon. Because Miami doesn't do "normal." It does cocaine-fueled fever pitches that somehow become institutions. Enter Walt Grace Vintage. Opened in 2018 by Bill Goldstein, a guy who clearly woke up one day and said, "Screw it, I'm opening a shop that's half Muscle Car Heaven, half Guitar Center on steroids, and I'll make it look like an art gallery so Wynwood doesn't chase me out with spray paint." And he did it. Against all odds, it worked. History lesson: Walt Grace isn't a guy who escaped Cuba with a Gretsch strapped to his back. He's actually a character from a John Mayer song about a suburban dad who built a homemade submarine and sailed it to freedom. Yeah. That's the name. This whole business is literally named after a fictional middle-aged man who thought "Home Depot, PVC pipe, and a dream" were enough to cross the Atlantic. And honestly? That energy is perfect for Wynwood. Step inside, and you're hit with the smell of leather, espresso, and financial regret. On one side: gleaming Porsches, Mustangs, maybe a Ferrari so perfect it looks like it was carved by angels with a cocaine problem. On the other: guitars so sexy they make you want to quit your job, join a band, and disappoint your parents all over again. This isn't a store. It's a museum where everything happens to be for sale, and the docents are guys in jeans who know way too much about the sustain on a '62 Strat. And the best part? They also serve coffee. Because nothing says "yes, I'd like to remortgage my house for a Corvette and a Gibson" like sipping a cappuccino while pretending you're casually browsing. Because where else in the world can you walk in for a latte and walk out trying to explain to your spouse why you now own both a cherry-red Telecaster and a vintage Porsche? Wynwood doesn't need another taco joint--it needs this: a temple to horsepower and fretboards, nostalgia and midlife crises, all wrapped in neon graffiti and good intentions. The owners clearly put a lot of love into this place. They have a cafe inside with pretty cleverly iced tea. However, if you're buying only one thing from them - it gotta be the cinnamon cake! Cookie looked great but was very average. The space is nice. seating available with a few different options from a couch to multiple tables. Was cool to see the cars and guitars that were on display. A fun place to grab a coffee in Wynwood! My oat milk latte and spinach empanadas were both good. They serve La Colombe, including on draft, which brings me right back to my time living in Philly. There's not much seating, only 3-4 high top tables, so don't plan on working remotely out of here. But grab a coffee to-go or browse their display of guitars and vintage cars. There were some shoppers actually testing the guitars, but other people were just coming in to take pictures of the cars. They also had cool t-shirts if you're looking for a gift. Must visit when nearby. The Chocolate Croissant is a MUST MUST MUST. So much chocolate inside. Super flakey and light with a ton of chocolate inside. I've eaten Pain au Chocolate (known here as chocolate croissant) at probably hundreds of different bakeries around the world, and this is in the top 5. Also of note is the incredible car collection and instrument collection for sale. Come for the food and coffee, enjoy the beautiful sights. read more

what a unique concept for a coffee shop. it doesn't appear like anything special from the outside, but when you walk in your transported back into a music store / car show! lets start with the coffee shop that is located in the right corner with plenty of high top table seating. they have a great variety of pastries including croissants. anything you want for coffee including mushroom cappuccino! you can take your drink to go and walk around the rest of the store. there is a waffle of vintage, cool electric and acoustic guitars. including sound rooms if you want to try out some of the instruments. the most exciting part for us was the Vintage porsches! so cool! available for a purchase if you're ready to spend a couple hundred thousand. overall really cool spot and definitely worth dropping my if you're in the Wyndham area, even if it's for just a cup of coffee! read more

This is such a cute place in Wynwood. It's a combination of an upscale collectible antique car showroom and a cafe. Of course, we went in for the cafe part. It was pouring down rain and they lent us two umbrellas so I could get mine out of my car. You can spend the whole day in that neighborhood, between the restaurants and graffiti art. This sleek cafe is full of vintage cars and guitars for sale. I happened to be there on a night where a new car owner was there to take possession. It was quite something to watch him back it out and drive off. Because they are for sale, you never know what will be there. The sandwiches and coffee were also tasty and reasonably priced. I can't believe Walt Grace has been around for so long and I haven't stopped by. I decided to come by today as I was in Wynwood during the day. It's half coffee shop and half guitar & antique car extraordinaire. The staff at the coffee shop are so kind and knowledgeable. They have a great machine and delicious La Colombe coffee. Randy at Walt Grace Vintage decided screaming at me on the phone was the best way to rip me off for a $7,300 Gibson V destroyed in shipping. He had assured me that it would be fully insured in shipping but refuses to contact the insurance company with the claim. We contacted him the day we received it but he claims we didn't contact him for 72 hours therefore we have no case. If you buy anything there that has to be shipped you have been warned you will not get any compensation for the damage.
