I don't remember the doctor from last time but Dr. V was very nice. She asked if I had problems and I told her about my dry eyes. She gave me a solution to solve it vs in the last, other optometrists would just brush it off and tell me to continue doing what I do. I did appreciate how in depth she was and explained why I had dry eyes. She gave me the name of some gel eye drops to use along with some instructions. I really appreciated it! The other girls were nice as well. I was greeted right away when I enter and even after waiting for a while, someone did come up to me to confirm if I needed help.

No echolocation needed! During my recent visit, the two blurry orbs filling my contacts prescription suggested that I also replace my backup 15-year-old pair of glasses. Being the only customer at that moment, I received undivided, genuinely enthusiastic attention in trying on glasses, taking measurements, and working out pricing and discounts. I was really impressed by the fun experience, and the lengthy visit allowed for a little of my vision to return before leaving (hopefully not making a spectacle of myself!) Between having the best selection of frames in town (which I wish was even bigger), the convenience of being located right next to the Ophthalmology Department, and spectacular customer service, Mayo Optical clearly hits the bullseye. I have a medical condition, Optic Disc Drusen, that requires monitoring. Before moving to Winona, I had ophthalmologists perform that monitoring, but Dr. Robeson, although licensed as an optometrist, is fully capable of performing the work. His office has an impressive array of diagnostic equipment that includes visual fields, retinal cameras, and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Dr. Robeson and his staff used all of them to quickly and accurately assess the current state of my vision, and then Dr. Robeson reviewed the results with me. He fully understands my Optic Disc Drusen, and I enjoy discussing with him the progression of that disease. Excellent professional service in a friendly and comfortable setting. I provided my insurance information to the lady who booked the appointment. A few days later, I received a call and they said that my number didn't work. I provided the number and asked her not to use the zero's that were listed. She said all was good. Again today, I received a call saying that the information wasn't saved and that my number shows to be invalid. I gave the number again and she said it was good now. Two hours later, another person called to say that they needed my major medical insurance number just in case I needed more than the basic eye exam that I requested. I don't have a major medical insurance provider and she said she didn't know whether my Vision Plus plan would cover what the doctor may want to do. I plan to report the conversation to Humana as well. I think it sounds fishy.
