To make matters worse, he attempted to downplay the situation by offering me a discount of $25, which seemed like a mere attempt to brush things under the rug. I suspect they initially charged my insurance company a significantly higher amount, likely $500 or more, and the pharmacist seemed more concerned about deflecting the issue than addressing it fairly. His unprofessional behavior, lack of empathy, and failure to communicate properly with me made me lose all trust in this pharmacy. This experience was not only disrespectful but also raised serious concerns about the lack of understanding of basic procedures, including HIPAA regulations. I strongly feel that this pharmacist's actions were inappropriate and unprofessional, and I would recommend avoiding Giant Eagle Pharmacy in the future. The treatment I received was unacceptable, and I will never trust them with my healthcare needs again.
