Usually the plants I buy from leaf are healthy and happy, even though they're ridiculously overpriced. This time I am absolutely appalled. I bought a sansevieria, and when I got home, put it on my desk. Later that day I found it spilled on the floor. When I picked it up I realized it was just a plant that had been cut at the base and plopped haphazardly on some dirt. No roots, just cut at the base and balanced in a way too small pot. The pic I included is after repotting in well draining soul, giving it some rooting hormone, and setting it in a sunny, but not too sunny part of the room. Still no growth, not dying but no growth. Honestly guys??? This plant was botched. There are So many better places to get healthier plants at a better price. read more

I will preface this by saying that I work in a profession where I see various floral arrangements throughout my day. There are plenty of great florists in the Akron area, but Every Blooming Thing consistently puts out unique and gorgeous creations. Unlike some of the other florists in the area, they don't have "signature" pieces that they routinely send out. I truly appreciate the fact that EBT puts together really unique pieces that just seem to "fit" each individual person or occasion. Unfortunately, I needed them for a rather sad event in my life recently and as I walked into the shop I just started crying. These guys dropped everything and took the time to listen to what I wanted, pulled out some flowers from the back, threw out some ideas, and helped me figure out just exactly what I wanted/needed. WOW! This is all I can say about this FANTASTIC floral shop. I needed a funeral arrangement but didn't want just the same old same old. I explained all the various aspects of the man's life & how much he meant to our family. I also provided some choices in flowers & left the rest to him. He created a perfect bouquet which totally captured this special man's personality. The arrangement was established on a circle slice of a tree. (He didn't know the property the man lived on was full of trees.) Then he added some tools because I told him how handy he was. Every Blooming Thing did my wedding flowers in September of 2016. I originally met with Scott and was sold on how well he seemed to understand my vision. A few month before our wedding, the shop changed ownership. The new owner was very kind but overall less professional than Scott. I sent Matthew (the new owner) several emails detailing what I wanted and where the flowers should be. I sent him pictures of the bouquets that inspired me and the mock bouquets that Scott has made. He was difficult to get a hold of and I ended up making a couple more meetings with him before the big day because I was feeling so uncomfortable. On the day of the wedding, the flowers were not what I had ordered. He had ignored size requests, color requests, and the type of arrangements I wanted. We had a table to honor deceased members of our family which he put a few rings of leaves on. It really wasn't the tribute I'd imagined. I had sent him pictures of beautiful plum bouquets and on the day of he provided me with predominantly white bouquets with fuschia flowers. The flowers did not match any of the other decor at our wedding. We were using Fall colors and Matthew made bouquets of summer colors. The arrangements were beautiful but simply weren't what we wanted. When I contacted Matthew to discuss my disappointment, he was argumentative and refused to admit wrong doing. He did end up giving us a very small refund for obvious mistakes. Wedding planning is extremely stressful. I trusted all of my vendors to "have my back" and make sure we were on the same page. By far the Best customer service I have ever received from a floral shop. Matthew was a delight to talk too and full of creative floral arrangement ideas and options. I called from Los Angeles to order a same day birthday floral arrangements for my mother - I wanted lavender roses. Matthew shared with me that he expected to receive lavender roses in the daily delivery, which had not arrived at the time of my call. He offered to telephone me when the delivery arrived. What I really appreciated and enjoyed about Matthew's customer service was his suggesting other flowers with purple hues that could be a wonderful option should the delivery not include the lavender roses. Couple of hours later Matthew called with good news - lavender roses had arrived in the daily delivery!
