The lady asked what kind of container, I said a nice box or anything unique but not a vase as my mother has a ton of those. I said I wanted it to be asymmetrical and have structure to it. She asked how much I wanted to spend. I told her I didn't know how much that kind of thing I'm asking for goes for. She just stared at me. So I threw an amount out to see what she'd say, I said "I don't know, $100?" She was all to happy and rang me up for $100. I went on Monday at 1pm. Upon walking in I saw a different older lady and two younger ones sitting at a back table doing nothing but chatting. One younger girl came up and I told her my name for an order. She went in the cooler and came out empty handed. Went somewhere else. Came back empty handed. Then she goes to talk to older lady and comes back and says the yellow roses just came in 5 minutes ago and my arrangement is not ready. Wait what!??? So I showed up an hour later then I said I would and you have nothing? And NO ONE CALLED TO TELL ME THIS!? So the older lady came up and she seemed all nervous and jittery and she told me to hang on they'll make it now. Oh great, I'm sure that's going to come out great now that you're rushing. So I politely said I'd wait even tho I was not happy. Then she comes back to tell me the yellow roses actually did not get delivered!! And now she said they'll get some somewhere and they'll even throw in a few extra roses and a couple of balloons and they'll deliver it within the next few hours. I was really concerned now that I was not going to get what I wanted so I said that. She got kind of rude and snapped back some of the things the other lady had wrote in the notes on Friday. Ok. So. They did deliver in about 2.5 hours. However, it was NOT an arrangement by any means. It was basically 1.5 dozen roses stuck in a clear glass vase (you know, the thing I didn't want), and a few extra filler things that looked thrown in randomly to make it look asymmetrical! Very poorly quickly done. NO EFFORT was put into this. It is definitely NOT unique! I showed the original lady on Friday about 10 pictures of ideas. I can tell you this looks NOTHING like the arrangements I showed her. I will never trust them again!

I came across Countryside online as it seemed to be the only one in town. While the website is a bit clunky, it does have quite a large collection of photos featuring arrangements for every occasion with prices ranging from $40 to a couple hundred. I was impressed with the selection. I was able to choose my arrangement and pay using PayPal online, which is very convenient. After I submitted my order I realized that I had completely screwed it up! I had entered the incorrect address and there was an error in my phone number! I found the contact email on their website and emailed them, letting them know what the correct address and phone number were. I also Asked them to give me a call to confirm the changes. I honestly didn't expect them to actually call back, and had planned on calling them the next day anyway just to make sure. Within a few minutes I received an email back from an employee who stated that they received the correct address and would deliver it no problem. I was impressed with how quickly I received a response! A couple days later, my friend sent me a text and a picture of the arrangement, which was so bright, cheery and extremely cute. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Countryside Florist!

My husband &…read moreI drove past this stunning landscape on our way to a funeral, we couldn't help but notice the large fields of dahlias, sunflowers & lilies. Growing up just a few miles from this property, I have always wanted to explore this century home & jumped at the opportunity to do so when they hosted an open house on Sunday. Not only were my mother & I greeted by a scene that seemed to jump off the pages of a Agatha Christie novel but an absolutely lovely staff & delicious goodies for those attending the tour. There were a few yummy goods for sales such a violet jam (which I can't wait to try!) & local honey. But I must admit, there were free cookies as well- whomever made the lavender/lemon creme cookies...I could've eaten the entire tray myself; absolutely delicious!!! You can also purchase unique floral vases or flowers to create your own arrangements. Seeds to grow at home or even have the staff grow flowers for your wedding or other special event. There are a lot of things I admired about the creative and talented minds behind this business. For starters, you can gather a world of knowledge by just observing your surroundings- the staff is very knowledgeable about what they grow , ideas & experiments they are introducing to the environment to make a positive impact on their gardens & care tips for the many varieties or plants they provide. This is NOT your typical florist! The plants used in their arrangements they grow on sight so only seasonal flowers, fruits & veggies are used. They also have a compost pile, a small lake, a barn that can be rented for out & such wonderful gardens. The tour was inspiring, nice & quiet and had a great flow to it. Nate is a very charming individual, Liz has a delightful energy, and Corinne has a way of explaining things without making one feel ignorant...all three of these staff members offered wonderful hospitality, knowledge and pleasant experience. They also offer floral subscriptions & accept vase donations. My father has purchased flowers for my mother here on a number of occasions and the arrangements last a week and a half longer (sometimes 2 weeks) than any major chain bought arrangements. This is a positive way to help a local business grow and pass the beauty on.

Carmen was great to work with - I sent her ideas for arrangements and we discussed the plan by phone and email. I also needed to order 2 extra arrangements the day before the party and Carmen was able to accommodate that without any problems. We did dahlia arrangements for a summer party - Carmen arranged for a local flower farm to grow the flowers specially for the event. They were absolutely spectacular, and each arrangement was unique and bursting with personality (which is what I had asked for). The guests RAVED about the flowers.
