I was in the Beef Jerky Outlet in Atlantic City recently and after purchasing some product was disappointed to find: 1. Every exotic/game variety I purchased was mixed with beef 2. Every variety I purchased had nitrates/preservatives 3. Every variety I purchased was very difficult to chew The Cape May House of Jerky delivered everywhere where AC's failed. They have great exotic variety and they are pure cuts of the named species (not mixed with beef); I purchased the Teriyaki Elk and Black Pepper Venison and both are delicious. They are also nitrate free and easy to chew. Also appreciated that the Nutrition Facts are posted on the packets which is often hit or miss with jerky products. A few areas where AC's store outperformed Cape May's: 1. No other products offered outside of the jerky and some paraphernalia (no raw/frozen meat, snacks, etc.) 2. No working online store from what I can find. Aside from those above critiques this place is a great find. It's on a side street off the main Washington Street Mall strip and it's definitely worth a stop if you're a jerky fan.

The female worker there was extremely nice and personable. They had a wide array of game meat jerky (rabbit, alligator and python to name a few) along with the normal turkey, chickens And beef. My husband got the whiskey rabbit and quite enjoyed it, I got the teriyaki turkey which wasn't bad but felt like it could have had more flavor to it. The butterscotch may sound a bit off but I reassure you it's not too sweet at all and not entirely smooth. There is texture in these butters and you can tell that they have not been sitting around for too long and you will know when you look on the bottom of the jar it tells you when it was made! I promise you cannot go wrong. I ordered a few peanut butter cups as well and everything went fabulous! Considering I had 6 jars and 6 peanut butter cups each item was packaged perfectly and delivered on time and wrapped with such care I'm very pleased. If you are in the area the store is fun too!
