Amy was helping us make our selections and she was super helpful and fun! I wound up with some Sour Cherry Jelly & Thai Peanut Sauce/Dip. My husband is the peanut butter maven and he took home 2 of his favorite 32 oz jars of honey roasted peanut butter. They won't last too long for sure. The very best ever! I love this place and miss visiting so I just had to order a couple of my favorites. I had no idea that their nationwide shipping service would be so fantastic. They send flat rate by the amount of your order and tell you that it should take approximately 9 days total to arrive. Mine came in 5 and I'm in Florida! I ordered my Butterscotch peanut butter, capucino too. If you are a nut butter fanatic you must try their nut butters. The butterscotch may sound a bit off but I reassure you it's not too sweet at all and not entirely smooth. There is texture in these butters and you can tell that they have not been sitting around for too long and you will know when you look on the bottom of the jar it tells you when it was made! I promise you cannot go wrong. I ordered a few peanut butter cups as well and everything went fabulous! Considering I had 6 jars and 6 peanut butter cups each item was packaged perfectly and delivered on time and wrapped with such care I'm very pleased. If you are in the area the store is fun too! Among the T-shirts, sweatshirts, beef jerky, hot sauces, and hats were a nice display of gourmet "Small Batch" peanut butters made by the Cape May Peanut Butter Company. I couldn't resist picking up jar of their Orange Creamsicle Peanut Butter (I mean, who in their right mind can resist that?), and I tried some this morning. The peanut butter was "natural" style -meaning it was separated in the jar, so you have to stir it up real good to incorporate the peanut oils into the peanut butter. It had a grainy texture, almost like a finely ground "crunchy" feel to the taste. It had a very definite, but subtle, orange flavor to it. So that brings me to what I had for breakfast today - corn tortillas with Orange Creamsicle Peanut Butter with sliced strawberries. Turned out to be an excellent collaboration. Cape Cod Peanut butter also crafts Chocolate, Honey Roast, Strawberry, Butterscotch, and Cappuccino peanut butters, alternative nut/seed butters like Almond, Cashew and Sunflower, and limited edition small-batch peanut butter flavors, like the Orange Creamsicle version I had today. A quaint, conveniently located gem in the heart of downtown Cape May. We walked in and were greeted immediately and were offered samples of their newest peanut butters, as well as their classics. Their hours may need to be updated because we just went on a Tuesday and they were definitely open. I read a lot of reviews of Cape May telling me to go here. I like peanut butter, but I really love peanut butter cookies. You can sample their products, but we just chose to buy a small jar of the original and take our chances. I did get a peanut butter cookie to share though. It was a very sizable cookie for $3. It's also the best peanut butter cookie (or maybe any cookie) that I've ever had in my life. My favorite part, which might not appeal to everyone, was that it didn't taste overly sweet. As for the texture, it was absolute perfection. This is such a random store to love but we do. We had walked by it a couple days in a row and finally decided to go in. Worth it! We tried so many delicious things and walked away with about $100 dollars worth of PB goodies and peanut butter. Listen, I know the giant peanut butter cups might be intimidating.. get one! Yes it's true, I'm a big fan of peanut butter - chunky specifically, but at the end of the day I don't discriminate. While I love everything PB, I don't eat it often due to the calories and fat content - I know it's better than other foods high in those departments but I haven't incorporated it into my regular diet. That being said, I wasn't going to pass up a stop at the Cape May Peanut Butter Company - especially in light of the fact that it came highly recommended by a friend. I was making rounds in the area during my second day in CM and thought it was the perfect opportunity to check this place out. CMPBC sits on Carpenters Ln which is home to several businesses and runs parallel to Washington St (and moreover, the mall). The exterior is really cute - very welcoming with yellows and browns (such peanut) and peanut decor. The inside is small, but they really maximize the space. As you may have guessed, the major product they sell is peanut butter - and they do it in a variety of flavors and package sizes. The front wall as soon as you enter houses the goods - there were some interesting flavors like butterscotch, strawberry, and sunflower - and some tried and true classics like honey roasted and (of course) plain. The rest of the store houses other items with peanuts/PB in them, or items meant complement PB such as cookies, soups, candy, and yes, actual peanuts. I think I even saw dog treats - really something for everyone. They offer samples of all their flavors in case you're interested in a taste prior to purchase; the honey roasted intrigued me so I went with that. It was really good - the honey gave it a little extra something and that was enough for me to pick up a jar. Service was good - I was greeted warmly by the woman working there and was also taken care of her upon checkout. Overall, this was a fun little shop and worth a stop in. If you're a fan of PB you'll be in your happy place. read more

Last month we were walking down the street when a friendly employee stopped us and invited us to come in and taste many different peanut butters; oh I'm glad he did! So much fun, so many great products, so much good assistance! We even returned this month to this great-smelling store and again had great friendly service. We didn't like each and every flavor, but ohhhh the ones we did were ambrosia! Everyone, PLEASE tell the owners to make the intensely chocolaty "Brownie Batter PB" year-round and not just a Limited Edition. Honey roasted puts regular PB to shame; Strawberry PB subtly brings PBJ to mind. PB Chocolate peanut clusters and coconut choc peanut clusters are divine. There are also cookies and cups and sauces and nuts oh my. Free samples and a dollar coupon in the free maps. Worth a trip! Loved this cute shop that I visited it twice during our 3 day trip. That's saying a lot for me lol they have a variety of peanut butters here from Honey roasted, to chocolate and even cappucino! How amazing is that! I loved the packaging and container designs of their peanut butters. They look fun and yummy! I brought the party pack and was glad I did since i was able to try 5 flavors in one go! They also have sandwiches i believe and have a few outdoor seating available if you decide to enjoy your snackies there. But really what made me come back the second time was their PBJ cookie! They have varieties of peanut butter including butterscotch, honey roasted, cappuccino, chocolate, almond butter.....etc. There are serve yourself tubes so you can sample them before you buy your favorite type. They have a large variety of peanut butter candies (peanut brittle, peanut butter cups, cover pretzels....etc.) and they also have baked goods of all kinds, smoothies, jellies, fudge, jars of peanuts, coffee, and lots more that I can't remember. This is such a cute store!!! I would give it a 4.5 if there were such an option! Nestled in the quaint town of Cape May, NJ, this store is loaded with peanuts in every variety. My favorite part about this store is that they have samples!! They have very cute contraptions that allow you to sample all different flavors of peanut butter, all of them being delicious. Not only that, they have a bakery section as well as other treats and drinks! The manager in the shop was beyond friendly, gave us as many samples and reccomendations as possible, and the things she reccomended we ended up buying. We walked out with this marshmallow peanut butter fluff that we put on apples, toast, sandwiches and other fruit. Both my sisters got a different flavor of peanut butter and we all shared a couple of the pastries. I do wish the store was a little bigger, as when we went in it was a little busy and therefore a bit challenging to not bump into people while trying to walk around. Other than that, this store is a must do for any peanut or peanut butter lovers! The small super cute store generously allows customers to sample the various peanut butter flavors (butterscotch, honey roast, capucino, choc choc and a natural peanut butter) .... I absolutely LOVED the honey roast. I treated myself to a 16 ounce container, it was $8.49. It's so darned good I have to physically restrain myself to not eat the whole freaking container. I just purchased it last night and so far I've eaten it - on a spoon - with a banana - in a smoothie - on a sandwich - as an apple dip Just do yourself a favor a buy the 32 ounce container for $15.49 or be prepared to drive back to Cape May really soon. Great peanut butter and they even give out samples! Prepare for the worst customer service. It was like we were ghosts - struggling to find eye contact to purchase anything despite being the only people in line and not busy at all. We had two ladies who came from outside and cut in front of us. Which whatever, we were not in a rush. We ordered an iced coffee - we had never been there before. A cup of ice was slammed in front of us without explanation from the unhappiest teenager in the world (we even tipped you $5 on a 4.75 coffee come on). If can potentially get past a bad apple then stop by if you love peanut butter. Hopefully they're having a better day and actually speak to you if you visit. They've got tons of flavors to choose from and every flavor has it's own tasting station with a large pump of peanut butter that you can try by the spoonful. No one cares if you sample every flavor, that's what they are there for! I had a few tastings but the honey roasted flavor really stuck out and I ended up buying a small container to take home. They've also got a ton of other peanut butter inspired food items such as baked goods and milked shakes and there is a menu up with different sandwich options. If you are really into peanut butter you can get crazy and buy some of the peanut butter decor...I even saw a pair of peanut butter earrings.
