Three stars only for the cleanliness! ACME is so overpriced, even with your (my sister's) store discount card. No wonder I stopped going years ago! We were in the neighborhood and literally needed two things, so we went. Both Lactaid and slow cook oats cost a good bit more than at Shoprite. We did self check out and with one other item (actually a better price) it said we didn't scan it (we did). Someone came to help - she didn't say a single word to us and had a sour puss look on her face! - kept talking with her co-worker while she cleared the issue! Even my daughter thought she was rude! I've been going to this location for over 40 years. Apparently, they no longer want my or my family's business. A cashier named Dana goes out of her way to make us feel unwelcome. And the deli staff just today ignored me for over 20 minutes because they thought it was funny. Time for my family to find a supermarket that appreciates their customers read more

This is a solid ACME market. I stop in here and there on my way back from the gym because I pass it. Their meat prices are a bit overpriced, in my opinion, but they do have good meat sales throughout the year. I have picked up sirloin steaks at a bargain around Memorial Day and Fourth of July. They have homemade chips and guacamole which are outstanding! You can find them by the entrance as soon as you walk in. Much of the time I stop in to pick these up. read more

The store is always clean. They can be a bit pricey but at times have some really good deals as well. They are close by so I tend to run in and get a few items when I wanna get in and out. I never really do a full shop because they can be pricey. The staff is always friendly. The fried chicken cheap chicken Monday deals is always a good pick up item. They also have some good deals on seafood as well. They also have the four for 20$ meat deals often so that is also a plus. read more

I love my Acme on Evesham Rd. in Runnemede, I'm in there almost every day. Yes, they can be a bit pricey but, they have a lot of GOOD deals, and a lot of items that Shop Rite DOES NOT carry. I love the girls that work there and have become friendly with a lot of them, some of the guys too. It's a very friendly store, and that's what I love about it too. They know me and I feel at home there. I can talk to the girls about their families and mine too. Recently I found out that one of the sweetest ladies that has worked there forever, passed away. I am heartbroken. They are like family. The Good: A large parking lot. The Bad: Expensive, dirty, poor selection, shelves not stocked and worst clerks ever. If there are two check out lines open, it's a miracle. Once you stand in line for hours (while the clerk talks to the customers, their family and other staff) you get no acknowledgment that you are standing in front of them -- they simply stare at you. This is my neighborhood supermarket but I only run in there for things I forget or run out of. I love the store it's clean not usually too crowded (prob cause prices are too high). Giving this store 1 star until they can be competitive with ShopRite and Walmart in price. I only shop when the sale items beat other grocery stores. I recently shopped when the special deal was buy one get two free coffee. The coffee in flavors I liked was gone off the shelf. It's frustrating because I live in Magnolia and can walk here. I had the worst tooth ache n found my prescription for amoxicillin n it's 4:50 n my pharmacy wouldn't wait but Marie at Acme pharmacy in Runnemede NJ said that she'll wait n it's no problem!!!!!! This isn't the first time Marie has shown me kindness n empathy. She saw me crying in the store when she was done for the day on her way home. She asked me if I needed help n I told her my husband had a heart attach n was in the hospital. She stopped n talked to me with a kind soothing voice n answered a few questions that I didn't understand n the doctors where to busy to answer. This is the 2nd time she went over the top for me. While waiting another customer was thanking her for everything she did for them. I don't believe in coincidences, I do believe Marie is the sweetest pharmacist n is kind to EVERYONE. Wanted to update because though regular prices are so high, sales are great, they have amazing managers specials, and they steam your seafood for you. Every time I am there the staff is amazing. Very fresh salad bar too. read more

I don't quite understand the other comments. So what! I live about one quarter of a mile from the Acme and go there regularly. The store is ALWAYS CLEAN, the clerks are ALWAYS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL, the store NEVER HAS LONG LINES plus they have a very easy self checkout plus an express line that is always open. The Acme has a fine deli, nice bakery, a pharmacist, a florist and of course, a bank. The service counter is also well manned. The only problem is that some PRICES ARE QUITE HIGH. But if you take your time and check out the specials, there are many, you pay no more than anywhere else. Again, let me state, the Acme is as fine a store as there is in the region. And the Acme has Ruth collecting shopping carts "full time". Just by stopping there to talk to Ruth will make your day as she is FUNNY AND VERY HELPFUL. read more

Not a coupon friend store. I agree with Michael L. Who gave a rating. They barely have any cashier lane opens and if they do the cashiers are always talking to each other or to the friends at the cashier line without acknowledging there's another customer in line waiting to checkout. If your a coupon error don't shop here they don't understand coupon ingredients terms not even the manage. They make Acme stores in Philadelphia a much better friendly store to shop at. Never again will I go there for anything. read more
