Adding to my review from one year ago. I have these unusual vanity mirrors. These mirrors are likely meant to be more art than bathroom mirrors, but they "bring the outdoors in" in a way that I wanted when we renovated the bathroom. Well, they hate temperature and moisture changes at the same time. The first one cracked last summer, and I struggled to find a glass shop that could help me. As I stated in my previous review, Acorn was able to come up with an innovative solution that not only allowed for the mirror to be repaired (made it usable again), abut also is now more resilient to these environment changes. Well, guess what. This summer the second one cracked. You'd think we would learn our lesson about opening the windows when weather is brewing outside. In any case, this time I knew exactly where to go. The folks at Acorn are lovely, and they remembered my unusual piece. They took on the challenge again, and this time with even better results. The glass is thicker/sturider, and the shape that they cut it is even more perfect. Their prices are very reasonable. Acorn Glass installed a BEAUTIFUL sliding glass shower door in my newly remodeled bathroom. Install was super clean, staff was friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and left no trash or debris for me to deal with. A rare treat with contractors. The door is truly a focal point in the bathroom and I couldn't be more thrilled. Wonderful service, great cost, great experience!! This is a company that knows how to do business! They came out and did a bid on a broken double pane window for me. After a partial deposit they ordered the glass and came out to repair the window. They were in and out in no time leaving no mess or taking up time from my day. These guys are so awesome. They are always so kind to me and my son Evan. They go above and beyond to do what they can to help. They even fixed my car glass window so we would have a safe winter... even though fixing cars is most likely not in their job description (They are a windows and glass company). Plenty of other glass suppliers out there that are actually good and act professionally towards their customers. These are nothing but the undisputed facts. First, the estimate that I accepted from Acorn was for a frameless custom shower enclosure. The install guys showed up and proceeded to do their thing. At the end of the day though, the shower door was made incorrectly so we had a shower with no door. Also, the cutouts for the hinges were on the wrong side (they didn't pay attention to their own notes on the work order that they took during the measurement appointment). No big deal, we strung up a shower curtain and that worked okay. Then there was an additional onsite visit to tell me that we no longer could have it frameless and that we needed to switch to having a framed shower enclosure. That's not what we wanted nor originally signed up for but we wanted the project done. They then showed up, tore apart things, installed new panels and again, at the end of the day though, the shower door was made incorrectly. Still, no big deal, we put the shower curtain back up and dealt with it. They remade the door, came back out and installed it. I'm fine with mistakes happening and for me, it's not about the mistakes, it's more about how you recover from them...great, the install was done and we were looking forward to taking a shower in the finished enclosure....but then the ugliness started. Before the silicone was cured, the phone calls started, asking for payment. If this were just materials being delivered then yes, as long as it met spec, I'm all for handing over the money. However, when there is labor included and involves the completion of a "project", then no, there needs to be time for evaluation of the completeness of the job (how does it function, does it leak, does it look good, etc.). Then things got worse. Two and sometimes three calls in one day. The same invoice being emailed everyday. Voicemails left talking about absolutely needing to collect payment today so they can make their rent. Once again, I'm a pretty easy going guy. Having just spent the last 18 months building my own house, I think I've been through and seen just about everything. I understand that times are pretty unusual and tough for all of us. But, I stuck to my guns and wanted at least a week's worth of showers before paying them....and rightfully so. I started to notice some details of the job they did. Noticed puddles of water on the floor after a shower....noticed that the door was not centered in the opening and as things settle (which of course they always do), that the top corner of the door began to scrape when it was closed. Now to the only reason I'm writing this review. A mistake was made on their invoice (tried to bill me for labor they didn't do) but a simple phone call and it was revised. No big deal, mistakes happen. We now sit a mere 8 days since the correct invoice was submitted to me and this morning I received the nastiest email you can possibly get....an email threatening to send me to collections to put a lean against my house. I can put up with a lot of things but not that. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Desperate people do stupid things. Don't let Acorn Glass do stupid things to you. read more

Adam and Andy did a fantastic job repairing my kitchen garden window after our neighbors' son damaged it with a pellet gun. They were very prompt in providing a quote, ordering the custom double-pane, and installing it even when the age of the adhesive around the garden window fixture led to difficulty removing the damaged pane and glazier's bead around it. These folks are super-professional, friendly, and charge a fair price. You can't ask for more. read more
