2014 install. On the portion of my fence that was aluminum,they tried to install a cheaper option than what was agreed on. They hit a power line during the instal of the cedar portion of my fence. Neighbor had no power for almost a week. 6 years later the cedar fence posts are all rotted at ground level. Due to very poor quality materials and improper instal methods. read more

Great Price, fast at coming to provide an estimate. Then come the problems. The contract read for 3 weeks from contract signing to install it took 7 weeks and many phone calls. There was no contact to us unless we prompted it. The day after I provided Acosta with my debit card # I received a call from the bank stating that they were detecting fraudulent charges. I had never used this card before so the bank informed me that it is likely someone at the company. The sales lady was supposed to inform the crew that she was unable to find our property stake and said they would handle everything just have our survey ready. At 9 am the crew arrived (2 of the 4 workers were related to the owner) started to find the property lines. They did not bring adequate tools to get this portion of the job done. Not only were they digging up my front yard but my neighbors as well. The crew was provided not only my survey but my neighbors as well. Acosta had already called for post hole inspection which is required by the city and when the inspector showed up approx. at noon they had not even started digging any holes. The inspector had gotten code enforcement out with the metal detector so that they could stop digging up the yards. Finally, we were in business and they started digging. The inspector agreed to come back for the inspection and did so a couple of hours later. The holes were all different depths none of which were deep enough for the requirements in the city. I was informed that the owner lived in this city so they should know the required depths. The city inspector began to get irritated as they were trying to skate by saying we didn't tell them. The inspector ended up stating to them that its a city requirement and he informed them. He said they were failing the inspection again and he would have to come back the following day. The crew kept working and the inspector showed up another few hours later because he was in the area. He ended up giving the go-ahead as long as the holes kept getting dug at the correct depth. The crew finished the holes and my husband went out to verify before the fence got started. Any holes dug after the inspector left were completely off. Not a single one was finished to correct depths. There were 3 different spots they cut through Comcast/att lines and left us with no service. The worker yelled at us that he passed inspection and was "doing it correctly, we don't know how hard it is because it is hot out." At this point, I called the office and explained the situation and that if the games didn't stop I would be kicking them off my property as they are not doing what the contract stated and I paid for a professional install and was not getting that. The crew got a call shortly after that told them to finish the job and to get the holes to the correct depths. At this point, they finished digging and then called it quits. The next day the crew arrived sometime after 9:30 am. The worker who was giving us a hard time and literally throwing things like a tantrum did not show up (thankfully). Everyone got right to work and started making progress. Per contract the crew should have removed the dirt however they proceeded to spread it and dump the rest in a field behind our house. They also without permission parked their truck back there. Those were minor issues to us and at this point, we were more concerned with the actual workmanship. A supervisor (also related) stopped by and spoke with us about the issues and we went over everything. He assured us that everything would be great and to call him directly if there were any further issues. The second day the crew worked the full day until dark and everything seemed to go smoothly. As they finished in the dark it was a little hard to inspect everything. Following up the next day there was concrete left on the fence, both our front yard and the neighbors front yard look terrible. The grass in our front yard and the neighbors has died from where they dug. I called to speak with the supervisor and explain how we were very unsatisfied. After weeks of discussion, the only solution they could provide us with is to send someone out to fix the front yard. I live in a high-end neighborhood. I do not trust this company to do any fixes to my yard and I can not authorize them to do anything on the neighbor's yard (they didn't get authorization to dig there either). Now in the middle of a heatwave, I have to pay my landscaper to address and then water the dead areas. The company only wanted to focus on the dead grass not the poor workmanship, lack of professionalism and all the other major issues we came across. If the employees that installed for us were family of the owner and provided such a bad experience this does not speak well for this company. Now a couple of months later we had no further contact from Acosta and we were left with the cleanup and paid full price, lost income due to internet lines being cut (we work from home). I'm not the easiest customer. I have a lot of questions, I have high expectations, and I tend to change my mind a couple times. Acosta was thoroughly accommodating through it all, from the first consultation to the clean up at the end. They were prompt, efficient, professional, affordable, and friendly. Most importantly, the 200 ft of fence they installed in only one day, couldn't look better! As a woman, even in 2020, it can be intimidating choosing contractors to hire when getting stuff done on your home when the fields are male dominated. I mainly spoke to Jr during the process; he was nice, humble, easy to talk, and just seemed like a good person-- which is just as important as the skill set to me. This business has the worst customer service. It took two days for them to complete our wood fence. They said it would only take one. We had to hunt them down to return the second day...a week later. 6 months after the fence was built, panels started to come loose. We have been calling them for the past two weeks to come repair as they have completely fell off. They did not show yesterday when they said they would. They said they would be here today at 3:30pm and then called to let us know they would not be here until 4pm. They finally showed up at 5:15pm. You have to call and leave multiple messages before they call back. The woman on the phone one time said they are busy with repairs. So obviously we are not the only people experiencing issues with our fence. Do not use Acosta Fence. I wish we went with another company. read more

Contacted Acosta Fence company for a free estimate to replace my fence that had fallen over in a storm. The estimate seemed fair so I scheduled them to replace my fence. I explained the to sales rep that I wanted the exact fence that I had. He said no problem and even circled the fence in their brochure. I got a call that they would be there on a Saturday so I waited all day that Saturday and no show and no phone call. They showed up on Monday and I wasn't home to supervise. They installed a fence that was almost like the one I thought I was getting, but it wasn't the one I wanted. I emailed and called several times asking them to replace the fence with the one I paid for and no satisfaction yet. Just the Customer Service rep telling me they would call me back. This has been going on for 9 months now. I'm still waiting and am not giving up. Don't use this fence company. read more

Do not use this company. Had new fence installed by them. The 2 guys installing left a huge mess in my yard. The craftsmanship is horrible and not durable. Fence is coming down and only a year old. I called to get it fixed and the lady on phone told me they are busy with a lot of repairs. This tells me that I am not the only one to get horrible craftsmanship. I have been calling every day for a few days with no call back. When I called to get fence installed they called me back in 15 minutes. I wish I never used this company. Horrible customer service and horrible craftsmanship. The 2x4s used to hold fence on are all coming off with the smallest nail I have ever seen supposed to be holding them on. Contacted this business for fence repair estimate. The day of my estimate appointment came and was contacted by their office letting me know of their late arrival which I was ok with since I am an understanding person. The estimate I received was fair and I agreed to the repair and was told I would be contacted later on to schedule the repair which never happened. A few weeks went by and I decided to be proactive and follow up. Their office set up a repair date for this past saturday June 1st between 9 and 10am which I agreed to and of course they never showed nor called to let me know they were not coming.
