Received a coupon in the mail for $69 Maintenance. Made appointment and technician came as scheduled. However he checked a couple of things on the outside AC unit in about 20 Min and reported everything looks great and I quote" you should have no problems for for the summer season" This was 6/20/2026. I asked if he cleaned the coils and he told me this was not included in the service I requested. I was surprised the coils were not included so I went outside later and started cleaning the coils. I noticed shinny screws on the ground and realized the Tech had not put back on the screws removed to check the Electric on my AC unit. I spoke to owner who said he would come next day to replace screws, but never saw or heard from him again. JUST 30 DAYS LATER my AC unit stopped working on a Saturday evening so we were without AC for two days at 112Degree days. Had another company come out and he found Burnt wires which burnt out the compressor. New tec said the wires were burnt for quite some time and previous company should have seen them? SO MUCH FOR YOU ARE GOOD FOR ALL SUMMER NO PROBLEMS ?? Gave Tri-State A/C Hero a chance, but they are no Hero just a Zero!! read more

Always used this company in the past with no issues. Just spent close to 15k on 2 units and all the sudden our nest thermostats don't work. Turns out the guy they left to finish the install wasn't experienced enough and they had to rewire the next day. Rusty, the owner has decided not to return calls and we were forced to buy new thermostats at a cost of 600.00 let alone their installer didn't check the system and left our fans running for 3 weeks resulting in an additional $113.00 in utility bills while we weren't present. This is not the company that we trusted in the past and I'd never recommend them in the future. read more

I did posted a positive review in the past. However, BEWARE owner, Rusty Dubois is not honest, or trustworthy, nor is he the "nice" guy many seem to believe. On June 24, 2021, I purchased a complete new HVAC system from A/CHero. The system included a 10 year warranty on parts and 2 year warranty on labor. I was not given a copy of actual warranty, I was told the warranty information was stated clearly on the invoice, thats aall I needed. On July 22, 2024, I no cold air. I stopped using A/CHero in 2022 after a "no show" and a "we are too busy". I called Breezy Air who I have been using since, the tech discovered the HVAC compressor was dead. He called the manufacturer to check the warranty and was told it was registered for only 5 years, not 10 years. Now with no labor warranty with A/CHero. I had a choice of paying $2400 for a replacement unit with a very limited warranty, or $4000 for a new unit with a Guaranteed 10-year Warranty. Due to the extreme heat, need for quick repair, I chose the later. I then called and left a message for Rusty at A/CHero to discuss their failure to properly register the 10 year warranty, and compensation for the replacement unit per our contract. Nearly three weeks later, August 15th Rusty called, told me it was "all my fault for not calling him first." I explained, that according to the invoice, I no longer had a labor warranty, and the partial parts warranty available was not worth $2400. Rusty became defensive claiming that he would have "fixed it all for free, regardless of the warranty", but that since I did not contact him first "there was nothing he could do". Rusty then began to "trash talk" Breezy Air, accusing them of lying to me, being dishonest and unprofessional. I politely ended the call telling him I would explore other avenues. Rusty unknowing hit redial on his phone and what I heard when I answered was Rusty making extremely derogatory comments about me and Breezy Air to a co-worker. At 4:30 pm, Rusty called me and offered $1260, plus and $800 if I returned the broken unit, which I am sure he knew, after nearly a month, had long been scrapped. I told Rusty that I had photos of the damaged unit as well as the new one, but that was not good enough. Rusty told me he would have a check waiting for me in their office the next morning for $1260. Then, he again, began berating me and Breezy Air. I told him to stop it, Rusty began literally screaming at me over the phone and threatened to rescind his offer. When I replied "Oh" in a questioning tone, he stopped and told me to pick up the check up the next morning. At 9:00 am I called the office and was told that Rusty was now demanding pictures of my new unit, that "CJ" was to bring the check to my home and take pictures. Two hours later, no CJ. I called back and was now told Rusty had taken the check with him?? At 1:30 pm "CJ" who was polite arrived, but had been told not to hand me the check until he had pictures of my current unit. More of Rusty's utterly childish, narcissistic behavior, I felt sorry for CJ. So, after three weeks with no return phone call, subjected to rude, abusive and harassing behavior, I am out $2740 because "A/C Hero" never registered the proper warranty, and am I really supposed to believe a screaming, out of control, owner who yells at me that he would have "fixed it all for free, regardless of the warranty". No, Rusty lost it and refuses to honor his contract. Is this a person you want to trust or do business with? read more

Rusty & Tri- State are AWESOME! Our air conditioner stopped working when it was 113 degrees outside on a Friday!! NOT ideal. We called Tri-State A/C around 10:00 AM and Rusty told us he had 8 appointments ahead of us but he would get to us by the end of the day. True to his word he showed up and within 15 minutes diagnosed the problem (a burned out Capacitor) and he had it replaced and working in no time. We were SO THANKFUL!!! But on top of the quality service, we found out that Rusty could of said "no" and simply scheduled us for Monday morning because he was actually late meeting his wife & kids in Vegas for a family weekend! But he said there was no way he was going to leave us in this heat for the weekend. What a great guy!!! We absolutely recommend Tri- State A/C for all your AC service and repair! read more

Very good service, and very polite men. However I did notice that the tech that serviced us today had his shirt very dirty and he had this bad smell lingering on him. The shirt had tears in it and stains and I think that it was very unprofessional on the companies part to let their techs out like that, considering he didn't seem to care about his appearance i am sure he isn't the only one with an appearance issue. I hope the company gives out new shirts soon and has a meeting about having a good hygiene. read more

I was in a serious pinch, my air went out on my rental the day prior to new tenants showing up. This is a hot time of year and everyone is super busy. Tri-State was sympathetic to my needs and got a service tech out that night ( I am sure it was overtime ) they repaired our service and we were back up and running. Happy Times!!! The next day the air failed again =( talk about stress we were losing time and potential tenants. I called Tri-State again they sent a tech out as soon as they could that day and replaced the fan motor. When the bill came they deducted the amount from the previous day WOW was not expected but super grateful. Our AC System in the garage stopped blowing cold air. Tri State came out and added freon to our Mini Split. We called them back the next day because it did not seem to work properly. They had no problem coming back out and and after further scrutiny, they discovered that a valve was leaking. So they replaced the valve, recharged the system and only charged us the cost of the valve and nothing more for the second visit. I love the fact that they did not make up any excuses, and fixed the problem. Plus they gave me a Veterans Discount, and will be sending me a check for the prior discount for the prior visit that I did not get. They will be my GO-TO AC people from now on!!! read more

Our warranty company sent them out.. they were supposed to order parts & failed to do that! Then they were supposed make sure to leave our parts they replaced, pictures etc... They failed to do any of that!!! Not only did they delay the repair by weeks, but they couldn't fix it once they started & it took almost ""20hrs+"" longer to finally finish the job!!! Now they have the audacity to still want us to pay for the parts after what they put us through & they have yet to fulfill what required!!! We will never use them again! Very professional from the first phone call. We are new customers of Tri-State A/C Hero and from the beginning we were treated as loyal customers. We received service within hours of our call for help. Every employee we met was kind and polite. This company shows its quality because the employees are happy. That always tells me that the 'bosses' are good and fair. A shout out to Brandee and Rusty....They know how to run a business! The prices are extremely reasonable. Even at 110+ temps and weekend service calls. If your having AC problems don't hesitate to call this company! The conclusion of the matter, sadly, was we needed a new AC unit. Alberto gave us 4 options from one that would get us through a year or so to one with a 10 yr parts/2 yr labor warranty. We didn't feel forced to stick with this company. Reliable, helpful and great price. I have used Tri-State A/C for 3 years and they always come through with reasonable pricing and don't add on other things that don't need to be done. I had a different company (home warranty claim) tell me the heating coil was leaking and I had Tri-State come out and they proved that was not the problem, saved me a ton of money. The other company said the coil was not being manufactured any more and I called the manufacture and it was still being manufactured and Tri-State found the part if needed. However we didn't need it. Rusty was very prompt to come out and take care of my broken HVAC a few months ago. I really appreciate that he went and got a huge, industrial fan to plug into my unit until the new fan came in next morning at which time a service tech came right out and installed it. Excellent service and the price seemed fair. The reason I docked a star was because they made it a real hassle to pay them! I know, weird right? They do take credit cards (good thing, HVAC repairs not cheap) but the tech wanted me to pay cash saying his cc reader wasn't working right. No, I wanted to pay with cc so I told him to have Rusty call me and take it over the phone. Instead, a couple days later he showed up at my door unannounced, which was not professional IMO, and I had just gotten out of the shower so wasn't about to answer the door like that. I thought surely I'd get a bill in the mail, but nothing until I'd almost forgotten about it and over a month later Rusty called for payment. I had to ask him to send my the invoice at that point. I'm tempted to give them 3 stars for that annoyance but their service was very prompt and I appreciated the extra effort to bring the fan over so would likely use them again, if they get their billing protocol figured out! read more

My AC wasn't blowing cold at my condo in Bullhead City. I called Tri State and made an appointment for when I would be in town. The tech made sure I made it into town and arrived shortly after, right on time. The previous owner had replaced the capacitor a few months ago so they told me it was still under warranty so I only had to pay for the service call, no parts. They also gave me a 10% veteran discount. They fixed the AC in under 30 minutes. Great service great price. read more
