I repeatedly contacted Dr. Sevara regarding my symptoms, but I was told that everything was normal and that I should simply take pain medication. Later, another dentist discovered multiple retained tooth fragments in the extraction site, as well as an infection and a completely failed bone graft that required additional treatment. I still have the actual tooth fragments that were removed after being left behind in my gum during the procedure. What is most disappointing is not only what happened, but the complete lack of response from the clinic. I have repeatedly contacted both Dr. Sevara and the clinic administration, providing X-rays, examination results, and detailed information about my case. My emails and requests have been ignored. Patients deserve honest answers, professional communication, and accountability when serious complications occur. Unfortunately, in my case, the clinic has chosen to ignore both the problem and my repeated attempts to resolve it. To this day, neither Dr. Sevara nor the clinic administration has provided any response to my complaint.

After going to Macha Family Eye Care for many years, I have left this practice. Something has…read morehappened to this organization that is not acceptable. Long story short, it took me nearly 6 months to get my glasses due to many marking and remeasuring corrections to get my progressive lens located properly within my frame. After being sick and tired of becoming a permanent resident due to returning weekly complaining I can't see out of my glasses (of which cost $600 out of my own pocket) I gave up. I went to Heartland Vision and paid an additional ($430 out of pocket) to finally have my issue solved within 1 visit! Wow! My glasses came back in 3 days with Heartland! Each time Macha sent my glasses back for corrections it took 2 weeks ! What is more unsettling, is that with each visit to Macha there seemed to be MANY customers with the same problem I was having! Even more perplexing, while at Heartland, I overheard one of the assistance giving a patient chart to the Eye doctor saying, "This patient is returning to us after going to Dr. Macha". Happily, I can report that I am NOT nuts after all! It wasn't just me having issues with Macha! Don't go to Macha Family Eye Care. The people are nice; however, nice doesn't cut it when you are talking about your eye health. In addition, when being re-examined at Heartland, I was diagnosed with glaucoma and sent to a specialist for immediate treatment. How was this missed just 7 months earlier at Macha's? Go to HEARTLAND VISION! The people are nice and professional and Dr. Hittenger is a plethora of information and demonstrates an enthusiasm for his profession that exceeded my expectations!!

Rather than attempting to have a conversation about the treatment she is prescribing, she gives you "generalized" papers that appears as though they were just copied from a book. The patient is pressed quickly for payment and feels rushed out of the office. Voicemails (questions) and online questions go unanswered. It makes the patient feel unvalued and unimportant. I have never seen any office staff or other patients in the office while I am there. Seems very odd. She has had conversations with her vendors/computer providers with me in her office. She was very pushy to the point of being extremely rude, not to mention a waste of my time. While I value her expertise in her field, I cannot continue to go to her. She doesn't know how to run a medical practice, which is sad, given her obvious knowledge of her subject matter.

Weeks later I started getting bills for $200 and nobody in billing wouls answer the phone or call me back. I was sent to collections and finally got someone on the phone last week to be told it was my responsibility and I was told that at the time of cleaning. I absolutely was not or I would have opted for a regular cleaning. They are charging for extra services hoping to get more money from insurance and charge the customer if insurance won't pay. Very shady business practice!

The receptionist emails you to confirm and is flexible if you need to reschedule if conflicts arise (not like I know from experience, or anything...) -My wait time is almost nonexistent. I checked in, signed a consent form and hadn't even sat down and Dr. McLean whisked me away for my eye exam. -Dr. McLean is so kind, but more importantly, knows her stuff. She performs the most thorough and efficient eye exam I've ever had. We're talking in and out in 35 minutes on my lunch break. She makes sure to ask if you have any questions or concerns you want to talk about. Her soothing voice helps me concentrate on keeping my peepers open when she's shining a bright light in them. -The receptionist noticed my sunglasses were stretched out from wearing them on top of my head (apparently a bad habit) and offered to tighten them for me while I was checking out.
