However, she recently moved to Santa Clarita to be closer to us and we took her to this office today. According to her, this is the nicest, most professional and friendly office staff with all the up-to date equipment. Her hearing aid stopped working. It was purchased at a different audiology department. Audiology Associates sent the hearing aid out for repairs and contacted the previous business where it was purchased to get the most up to date records. The staff communicated regularly with my mother-in-law and kept her informed during the entire process. The hearing aid was fixed a week sooner than expected. It was very easy to make the appointments. Once the new settings were dialed in they told her she could come in any time without an appointment for any type of adjustments. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to work with such a professional and friendly business.

She patiently answered all my questions and clarified the knowledge I had coming in. After completing a hearing test, she said I was borderline...hearing aids could help me, but not necessary. Evelina allowed me to try a set of hearing aids, customized to me, for a week, free. At the end of that week, I determined that I was not quite ready for the aids. After I purchased the hearing aids, the service went really down hill. She handed over the hearing aids preprogrammed and offered to make no adjustments to the programming. She didn't check the fitting either. When I went back for a follow up appointment, she still didn't make any hearing aid programming adjustments. When I asked for changes, she was visibly frustrated and claimed the hearing aids were difficult to work with. She handled the hearing aids roughly. In the end, the hearing aid programming was never adjusted. The office never answers the phone. So don't count on being able to return or exchange the hearing aids during the trial period. Unfortunately, I will have to pay a different audiologist to program the hearing aids since the programming was never done at this office.

After learning that I've lost about 30% of my hearing in both ears, Dr. John carefully explained what that meant and walked me through which hearing aids would be most beneficial for me, answering all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. I wasn't ready to order right away since I had a vacation coming up, so I waited. In the meantime I did a little research and later called the office with a few more questions. I reached a recording and didn't leave a message, planning to call back later- but within seconds of hanging up, the office called me back! That level of attentiveness really stood out to me. Everyone I spoke with was kind and helpful, and all my questions were answered clearly. I ended up ordering my hearing aids and got them a little over a week ago. Dr John helped with the App and set a couple things up. They are easy to put on and getting used to them was actually very easy. I don't wear them all the time but so far, so good. I'd definitely recommend Ascent Hearing based on my experience
