Yum! This is a wonderful little gem in a great and easily accessible location. The food was wonderful, and the place was sparkling clean! The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. We especially liked the roasted cauliflower, which was really something special (and I usually won't eat cauliflower). We topped off our healthy meal with some baklava. Yum! This place was amazing, we stopped in for lunch, I had been craving some falafel for weeks. I was struggling to even find a place that served it around here, and low and behold we checked out Acropolis. We tried the 4 dip sampler, which was really good, and the falafel did not disappoint, I only wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have had more! read more

The hummus is great. I enjoy coming here, I try to save it for special nights with my husband because its a great date place. But I have taken my young kids here. because it is family friendly. Its can be casual or dress up for a date night. Its great. Everytime I eat here I ordered something different an its always good. My husband loves the food to. I do agree, they need to give you more of that white sauce but Im sure if they loaded that white sauce on your plate the presentation wouldnt be as nice. Food is great , very authentic, the staff however... Not the best, my buddy and I ate here recently, and it was so delicious, only to be mildly ruined by the staff, not all that friendly, and when we asked "what's really good" we got "it depend on what you want" and a blank stare as a response... My husband and I came here the other day and loved everything about this place. The food is amazing, the service is great, and the atmosphere inside is very relaxed and welcoming. Our waitress was sweet and funny, I wish I could remember her name, but I'm sure we'll be back soon and I'll update if we get her again. My wife and I recently returned from a vacation in Greece, where we had some really great food. That experience prompted us to give Acropolis a try. The food was ok; it didn't have the seasoning we expected, but it was ok. The service was uneven. Our salads arrived about 2 minutes before the entrees, which is a pain. Do I eat the chilled salad or go for the hot entree? Or vice versa? I will likely give them another try, though. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always fresh and delicious. The waitstaff is friendly and do a great job. We just ate there last week and I cant wait to go back. Acropolis is a great place to eat! I have been there 3+ times! Two weeks ago, I went with some friends for the live music event on Saturday night. What a wonderful experience! No service from waitstaff. My wife and I were ignored while the three waitresses chatted around the cash register. They would check on other tables, bus empty tables, etc. but we could not even get our drink order taken. When we stood up to leave a waitress finally appeared to ask us what we wanted to drink. Ordered for pick up. Food was ready when I arrived and the cashier was very friendly. Ordered the gyro plate. It comes with a good portion of meat and the meat was tasty. The cons were the sides. I chose potatoes and cauliflower. The potatoes were really thick and hard with a lack of seasoning. The cauliflower just didn't taste good to me. Maybe if I would've chosen other sides my experience would've been better. read more

I ate dinner here the other day with a friend. The food was good overall. The staff is friendly as well. But nothing that really stood out about this place though. When you first enter, on the left looks like they almost had a buffet line that deal set up. It was just kind of odd to see it laid out this way. I may try this one more time to give it a fair shake. Today was my third time eating at Acropolis since they opened and I'm yet to have my socks blown off. I don't mind paying $50 for a nice lunch with my loved one, but I expect a certain level of food and service for that price. We ordered a bottle of wine, hummus as a starter, a salad with gyro meat for me and a gyro wrap for my boyfriend. Within 5 minutes our main course arrived, which is usually fine as it was lunchtime on a Monday. However we never got our hummus appetizer. In my Village Salad I had a total of 3 olives (in a $14 salad) and asked for a little dish of extra olives. I was charged $2 extra for the olives. There's no reason a restaurant in Texas in August shouldn't have beautifully ripe tomatoes in a salad. These tomatoes were yellowish-white. The Greek salad dressing tasted like straight olive oil with no flavor. I asked for extra lemon slices to squirt on my salad and thankfully wasn't charged. So this subpar salad came to a whopping $16. My boyfriend had to request ketchup to go with his roasted potatoes because they also lacked in flavor. I don't understand why this restaurant has such a high rating but I'm glad a locally owned business seems to be thriving. read more

Kind of confusing on how the ordering is. When you first walk in it looks like you should order at the counter. We kind of stood around for a few minutes trying to figure out what to do before someone sat us. Took awhile to get our order taken when we finally got a seat, and even longer to get our food. Order wasn't even right, but we were to hungry to send back. Food was hot, and had a good flavor. But all in all, I don't think we will go again. read more

Outa babganouche??? Two of us ordered lunch which was taking an unusually long time to arrive. When I inquired, waitress said they had to make babganouche as they were out. A better tact would've been to set our expectations of a wait and perhaps let us order an alternative side. We asked for to go boxes as we couldn't take any more time to dine. Waitress took meals to kitchen which required 10 minute wait for them to box the meals up. Once we had a chance to eat, the food was mediocre at best. Very bland. Not the usual rich Mediterranean flavors you'd expect. Prices were unusually high too. If one of our meals were comped, that would've created some goodwill.
