Caprese Sandwich
Melissa L.

Our family dined in this historical building in Holland, Texas. The restaurant was super cute, mom and Pop Italian restaurant. I ordered the Caprese sandwich which was made with woodfired bread. That was absolutely amazing. The fresh slice mozzarella cheese was drizzled with balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, and arugula. It was so scrumptious! my sister shared some of her Italian salad with me before my sandwich arrived, and that was very good and hearty with Housemade dressing,l and fresh Italian meat. I ordered the apple cider margarita cocktail that was spiced wonderfully for the season, served with a dehydrated apple slice on top. I love this restaurant and look forward to going back in the future and trying a different dish.

Cute little place in Holland. The service was quick and the pizza was okay, the crust is thin and fire roasted- reminds me a little of the pizza you get on a cruise ship. Seating is very limited, but there is a bar available.

The food is okay, there is a limited menu. Service is horrible, with a side of attitude from a teenage girl. The only nice employee is the young man behind the bar. Even the manager/owner was rude when I told him that I waited for my pizza, and then when the server finally realized who the pizza belonged to she slapped it on the table and walked away without a word. Customer service speaks volumes in a small town. EVERYTHING is self service, silverware, plates, napkins, water(if it's working). One positive best thing about the restaurant is that the bartender is friendly. It's not likely we will be back.

Affogato (gelato with espresso) EXCELLENT!

Great pizza! Great salads! Great lasagna! Great gelato! Our family comes here regularly and it's really good!

This is a cute spot in the midst of a town with limited options. The interior is nicely decorated and welcoming, although we weren't quite sure what the overall theme was between the food and the photos on the walls? You order at the counter and can leave your tab open. Since it was our first visit, we were still figuring out how everything worked. The girl at the counter told us to order there and sit wherever we'd like, which was fine. I asked for a glass of water, and she said they didn't have that, then walked off to deliver an order before taking my husband's drink request. Once she returned, I ordered a sparkling water since that was the only option visible. As we walked away, she casually mentioned there was a water station at the end of the bar. I'm sorry what? I just asked for a glass of water and she said they didn't have that, but I walked to the end of the bar and sure enjoy there is a station for glasses of ice water? Our appetizer came out fairly quickly. When the server dropped it off, she asked if we needed anything else, and I said yes, napkins and silverware. It turns out there's a self-serve station for those items near the register, but we hadn't noticed it since it was our first time. A simple mention from the staff would've gone a long way in making the experience smoother. We arrived around 5:40 PM and later noticed a sign outside that said Happy Hour 3:30-6:00. It would've been nice if the bartender had mentioned that when we ordered, as we were still within that time window. Overall, it seems like this place may assume people already knows how things work, which can make first-time guests feel a bit lost. That said, the food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was charming, and the restaurant (including the bathrooms) was very clean. I'd definitely give it another try now that I know what to expect. This was my birthday choice for dinner so I was disappointed, but as stated, the food was good.

Go there now! Amazing authentic Italian pizza with a fantastic atmosphere and flavorful food. The broccolini pizza was the perfect mix of green veg, lemon zest & fresh jalapeno, we'll get this every time. The Margherita was a spot on classic. The chef was so friendly and welcoming, we can't wait to go back. We found our new favorite spot, definitely worth the drive!

They serve some interesting preset pies, but bake them in the traditional Napoletani way. Thin crust with tasty ingredients and a drizzled sauce make a party of flavors in your mouth. Its bar offers local IPAs and flights for the undecided. Inside, the decor isn't quite country, however it's fun and musically eclectic. I was told the owner loved collecting and had a bunch of nostalgic vinyls. I actually wish some of them were spun or maybe have a DJ on certain nights. There's daily entrainment anyway and elevated TVs. The outdoor seating invites crowds with tables made for large families or groups. A stage provides space for local performers and live bands. The vibe's really cool. Fun for kids and big kids lies some yards away with games and a treehouse playground. Their big oak tree is a pleasant shield from the extra warm sun. It's your turn to become a pizza lover! Check out Fire Street Pizza!

I knew there would be a long wait to order, and more of a wait to get our food, but it took 40 minutes between our first pizza and dessert pizza to arrive. We think they just forgot about it because the dessert pizza was super simple and does not take that long to make. We were also close to the end of the line, so there weren't many customers getting pizzas after us. We ordered the White Rabbit pizza, which has chicken, tomatoes, spinach, and garlic alfredo sauce. We really enjoyed it, although I wish there were a larger size than the 12 inch as it wasn't enough for two. We also got the Sopapizza, which is a cinnamon dessert pizza, and it was alright. Some of the pieces were burnt and hard. They have a lot of outdoor space, but a woeful lack of seating. We ended up having to sit by a tiny countertop that didn't look like it was designed for people to actually sit and eat their meals on. They had some really large tables for families, but very few tables for smaller groups. There were many children. They had a very loud artist playing on stage outside. Driving to this restaurant felt like driving to a campsite as the roads were dark and spooky.

My husband said PIZZA, so we decided it was time to get out, stretch our legs and grab some food! First impression: how cozy. Brian met and greeted us with such enthusiasm. He had great suggestions for a quick small bite! They offer pizza, pasta, a little salad bar with fresh scooped, to order, ice cream. They had it all!! We received the most delicious personal pan pepperoni pizza. Delicious, bite after bite and then made us realize, we needed to take an extra one home. We met the owner, Carol and her husband Wayne. It's a local mom and pop establishment from looking from the outside, but was confirmed clearly it was from staff. Not sure where I want to begin. I'll start with the food. I got the lunch special. 1 slice, 3 knots and a drink. They were "short stocked" on drinks so only had 3 choices. Beverage was in a bottle and was not cold. I was told they had no ice either. I got the mushroom and spinach slice. The toppings and sauce were very good however the crust was black and burnt on the bottom so I just picked off the toppings. The same with the garlic knots too. You can see in the photo too. The marinara dipping sauce was cold and was told they do not do warm dipping sauce. I do believe if the pizza and the knots were not burnt, they would have been enjoyable. I am not sure if management reads this but your staff does like you very much. However, you might want to let them know discussing other employees and past employees love lives, jail records, arrest records, making fun of someone's disabilities is not ok in the workplace let alone with customers in the restaurant. I learned wayyyyy too much about the "person" that just got fired and their age and why they were arrested and closing up your restaurant an hour early. I felt extremely uncomfortable having to listen to this!

Could not believe how good it was! The crust was thin and crisp, and the oil dripping from the bottom. And was told by someone on staff that the water comes from NY, and the recipe has not changed since before the mayor of Hutto took over the business. As I drove home, I struggled to save a piece for my wife to try, but I succeeded. And she was also pleasantly surprised. However, given that she was just in NYC a few days ago, she said it's not as good as the one she tried out there, but if she hadn't tried a slice in NYC recently, she would've said that this one is very good and reminiscent of NYC pizza. This is the first time we come really close. Prior to Anthony's Pizza, we tried Russo's in StoneHill, but this one is much better. Will definitely go back for more, with the family, either to go or eat-in. My only complaint is the price for one simple cheese slice is $4.00 + tax. A legit NYC slice in New York is not selling for $4.00, probably $2.50, but $4.00 is over the top. But if the water truly comes from NY, maybe I could be reasonable. Staff was friendly and informative. The place looked neat and clean.
