The moment I walked into EyeQ it felt warm and inviting. Dr. Eggers took me back to the exam room right away and got started. I explained my frustrations with my contacts and she gave me a thorough explanation of what adjustments would or wouldn't do to my vision. She took her time and not only gave me one pair of contacts to try, but three different kinds of contacts as they each did something a little different. I didn't feel like that was a burden to the office to allow me to take home and try three pairs, nor did I feel as if they were trying to push a certain brand. Dr. Eggers genuinely wants me to find the right pair for me and my needs. I also needed my glasses adjusted as the other office literally just handed them to me and asked if they fit ok. Dawn took great care of me, and adjusted my glasses so now I can actually see properly out of them. Dr. Eggers and Dawn treated me like family and were extremely kind. They were not pushy and worked with me and my insurance, and even gave me a goody bag on the way out. I just felt well taken care of. I'm glad I made the switch! I know that Dr. Eggers has my best interest at heart and trust that my eyes will be well taken care of.

I have been a patient of this practice for over 30 years. Let me say that again...OVER 30 YEARS. My mother was the long-time office manager for the West Des Moines office and retired from the practice. My sister also worked for the practice in Ankeny until she moved out of state. I have had a long relationship with these doctors and office staff and have referred many friends and acquaintances to their practice over the years. However, apparently those relationships and my loyalty meant nothing compared to the hubris and willfulness of Dr. Nesheim when I needed him to go above and beyond to renew a prescription for me a mere 2 weeks before my next appointment. Especially when renewing that prescription before my year end deductible reset would have saved me $400. Keep in mind that this prescription is only for Restasis, a treatment for dry-eye, that I have been taking for several years and have had no health changes since my last renewal that would be cause for concern. It's not like we're talking about a treatment for a serious eye condition. However, Dr. Nesheim's unwillingness to consider extenuating circumstances and provide assistance to me is heartbreaking. I will be taking my eye health and vision needs, along with those of my family, elsewhere. I would strongly recommend you do the same.
