    Mahjong!

The comic book/superhero themed restaurant towards the front is decorated with comic book graphics. There are comic books stacked on every table. Towards the back is a bar. The food was okay. The portion size is nice and big. The veggie burger ($8) with pepper jack cheese ($1 more) was filling. I ordered the honey Hennessy sauce ($2 more) with it which was good. It wasn't spectacular. I think mustard would been just alright. The happy hour ($5) 16oz rum with orange cream was refreshing. If you want to come and take it the comic book vibe, this is a great place to visit. Keep in mind, most of the comic books are old as well as the super Mario game and mahjong. I would visit for the experience. The staff were more than welcoming to me and my friends.

    NEW Tres leches crunch

The owners are always helpful and the new tres leches milkshake is so delicious ‍ like wow I can't really say how much I'm obsessed with it . The food is so delicious bruh. Also being able to play all the games I grew up with and new ones is a huge plus. Gotta come here.

Best wings I've had in Brooklyn. Somehow juicy and super crispy. and they've got all the classics to split screen with friends. Truly one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. It ain't fancy, but who wants fancy EVERY night, eh?

This is primarily a bar and restaurant, coupled with a pretty substantive gaming center in the front. The space is not very big, but we had a great experience and felt it was a great value. Came here on a weeknight for a Halo LAN party and "Mr Carter" hooked us up. We connected 3 Xboxes (combination of two originals and one 360) and played the original Halo 1 with 12 people from around 7pm to 11pm. Time flew by, we yelled and taunted each other, had a great time, and it only cost us about $100 for the whole night, or about $10 per person. Let me qualify this review by saying that we did not eat any of the food; the manager let us bring in our own food and gave us tables upon which to eat. The drinks were pretty standard, beers and some basic well drinks, but I saw Mr Carter making milkshakes every night. Sure, there were a few kinks with the system link, and I think they could do better in the drink department, but overall a great place.

The burgers (the only menu item I've sampled thus far) are pretty average. But that's entirely beside the point. This place is a magical little hole-in-the-wall example of the kind of spot that gives hope that NY can still be "cool" amidst the influx of Five Guys and Dunkin. Upon entering, I knew I'd found "my people." Comic book covers line the walls, dioramas of miscellaneous action figures are proudly on display, and the screen on the wall appears ton constantly screen Marvel movies and others of that ilk. The restaurant was pretty full of dudes who were clearly regulars - and I mean who *wouldn't* want to spend their Thursday night playing (free) old school arcade games with a likeminded nerd-tastic set? 10-minute wait for my food you say? No worries. Take your time. I'll just be in the corner whooping my dinner-mate's butt in Mortal Kombat.

** 2nd Update** To Manager's Updated Comments (His 2nd response): Dude. Stop. You're a boss, act like one. You don't agree with something, give respectful feedback or ignore it. It's that simple. I had a negative experience and maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought Yelp was the forum to express that. Now when folks look at Action Burger, you see a manager responding unprofessionally. This is your brand, image.. own it. Take pride in it. How do you ever expect to grow as a business if you are not even open to the possibility of "things breaking" or not being handled properly 100% of the time. And me, the customer should not have to explain this to you. I would not lie about anything I experienced. My food came within the hour of me placing it. So no let's not blame Door Dash for what you called and I quote "3-6 hour bacon" or burnt dried up chicken. I noticed you tried to clean up your previous response with edits, but I already have that screen shot. I've already posted proof from the door dash App with a timeline, I've already shown proof of when the picture was taken and you still choose to go down this path. If the pictures weren't embarrassing enough, your behavior has now shown the billions of people on the internet why Action Burger is not a respectable business ran with integrity. Good night & please do not respond. Take some time, review this exchange between us in the morning and figure out how you are going to do better next time. **UPDATE** Response to Business Manager's comment: I think you might be implying that I let the food sit for hours before I took the picture? I hope I'm wrong. If not, I'm following up this post with receipts! Time stamps on when my order was placed on DoorDash, when it was delivered and date/time when picture was taken :-) Accountability much? I don't know why you have been in business for 5 years sir. Why are you asking me? What I do know and have proof of is my order that was placed and received on 3/4. And you as a professional instead of owning up to this horrific incident, you 1. Denied 2. Placed Blame & Accused 3. Told me what I could have done, followed by what sounded like an insincere apology. I think that sums it up. If this is an example of your leadership in this establishment, how could I be surprised about receiving multi-color bacon. I hope you consider making necessary changes. Have a great day! P.S .. thanks for letting me know why my bacon was that color. I'll be sure to follow up with the NYC Health Department.

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

Low and behold Brooklyn Burger and Beer looked like just what I wanted, so I walked in, grabbed a stool at the bar and jumped into their menu. What a difference a 1/2 mile makes! This place was perfect and its menu was choke full of bargains and bonuses. This place was cute; I mean the bar was front and center and was very impressive but the table seating was charming too. Their lunch menu has a great "build your on burger" which i had a blast doing: Burger Cheddar Cheese Bacon Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Mayo / BBQ con The service was exceptional, the ambience was very "Taverny [sic]" and my lunch was delicious!

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

I do have to say that the tables are way too tight next to each other as people kept squeezing in and out. I know it's a small space, but I didn't know I was dining with strangers. Anyways, we started off with the Hot Nguyen Wings ($18), which has a nice spicy glaze from the Gochujang. It also comes with 6 full wings, so you get a good amount of food here --perfect to share with two or three people. The flavor on these were one of my favorites that I'm still dreaming about these. Then we also got The Breeze Pizza ($26) and Emmy Burger ($31). The pizza dough was really good on this with a chewy texture and loaded with toppings. They have so many variations of pizza here that I'd love to try some of the more unique options next time. As for the burger that everyone comes here for, it's good. I can't say it's the best, but it's a solid and very messy burger with lots of carmelized onions. It's also quite a pricey burger, although it does come with some crispy fries. Also, I think the waiter forgot my burger order because every table got their burger before their pizza except ours. When my husband was already on his last slice of pizza, I had to ask if my burger was still coming. By the time it came, I had to eat this by myself and was a bit too full to even enjoy it anymore. Overall, loved the food here especially the wings that I find so underrated. The service was a bit off and it felt like it was just me sadly. Plus, the space is just way too cramped. It looks like others who celebrated their birthday here gets a Banana Pudding, so that's a plus.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name.
