One of my favorite burger spots in Brooklyn. Also a lot of vintage games for free while you wait on your food. Great experience

finally signed up to Yelp, just to review...Action Burger!!!! This place is great. Especially for the neighborhood folks, you should check it out, say hi to the owners, and get a feel for the vibe. First off, it's a burger shop. The comic theme colors the whole place from the big TV (playing The Avengers when I entered) to the great classic arcade games in the front. But at the end of the day, it's about the burgers, the fries and the friends. The burger I ordered (can't remember the name--the specialty turkey burger with bacon) was superb--nicely seasoned, very large. A good quality burger for the price. And the FRIES---they were great. Made to order, nicely crispy. I'll probably stop in some afternoons just for a bag of fries. The owners seems like great people. Very friendly, talking with another customer about Joss Whedon when i walked in. :-) It's a new place as of this writing, so I think they have a couple kinks to work out, but these folks are genuine burger & comic lovers. Free video games and a $20 open bar. Some great smoothies. The burgers are average or awesome if you're drunk or high.

Man, a lot of you Yelp reviewers really need to chill out and enjoy life and stop stressing stuff like spoiled brats. This place is awesome. I came only because I heard people play Smash Bros. Which is my favorite fighting game. I also was told I had to buy $5minimum worth of food to stay and play for free. That's was totally fine with me! Today I ate at action burger for the second time. The first time I requested for delivery. This time I went in to pick up my burger. I am glad that I did. This place is a hidden gem. I've never seen a restaurant quite like it. While you wait you can play all of the classic video arcade games or you can a Sci Fi Flick while you wait on their flat screen. The owner provided great customer service and the cheeseburger was fantastic. Very unique place. I loved it. read more

I threw a surprise birthday party here for my boyfriend and we couldn't have had a better experience. The Action Burger employees were friendly, fast, and totally prepared for us--down to a surprise light-dimming happy birthday song and complimentary dessert (with trick candle) for the birthday boy. The food was also pretty epic, and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. Five stars! read more

Pros: -A LOT OF FOOD -great employees...I know how many people here are talking bad about their employees but today i felt that everyone was great even tho i felt like we gave them a hard time with not remembering with our orders. Shout- out to the lady who moved out the way to let us sit in a group of 9 and also the little small asian/mexican ( sorry!!!) employee. She was really helpful in telling me what she likes best in the menu and whats good since its my first time. -Pay first and then eat. Less bill issue...and also no party of 8 = mandatory tip. LOVE THAT . -A lot of alcohol in the alcoholic drinks. This is great for all the heavy drinkers out there/ people who like strong mix drinks. -Reserve available even when the place is small...this makes me feel bad as a customer for some reason haha but really nice! -Play board games and video games for free!! Cons: The chicken wings i order really wasn't that great. PS. This is a personal con. Quirky enough that you should try it at least once. We stopped by for Happy Hour and got two free shots with a beer. (I chose rum and poured it in my Coke; wife took the beer.) The signature burger-the Pretzel Burger Frenzy- was actually pretty decent. read more

Perfect hangout spot in the city not far from the train like two blocks Its like walking into your ideal place. Awesome arcade games the place is small which I like for small group of friends maybe a date but if you have a big group like 15 people good luck finding space and seats, Food was good came really fast had a veggie burger with a milkshake i'm a part time vegetarian lol it tasted great right mix of everything. I had one of the most enjoyable experiences here. The video games were a blast. Milk shakes are out of this world! The burgers and sweet potato tots were spectacular. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes a good time and good food. The staff were so friendly and really pulled us in to the comic book world. I give Action Burger my highest rating. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Where else in Brooklyn can you sit down for a shake and a burger with loads of arcade games to enjoy while you wait. My favorite food is Pretzel Burger. My favorite drink is Captain Crunch Shake. Another perk is following their yelp responses as the management can be absolutely hilarious when responding to one star ratings and rantings. read more

This place has really gone downhill in the last year in terms of service. The last two orders have been wrong--one through Seamless, which took them forever to correct, and just now when I got home to discover I was missing a burger. First time coming here and I loved it. Wish the place was a little bigger but it was cozy. I had 5 wings for $5 (Basic.) which were cooked well. My Gf had an action burger which she said was good. She wanted medium rare but got well done but she was craving a medium burger. I will come again for more wings and maybe play Duck hunt. Let's get this straight: if you consider yourself a foodie and doesn't know what it's like to get plastered and play video games while eating greasy food, then that's where those 1 star reviews come from because the food is almost compared to other places in the area. However, the point IS to get plastered and play video games while eating greasy food. And that is exactly why Action Burger exists. It's a unique place that totally belongs in the area because it's an honest reflection of the owner in contrast to all the other bars that are serving kale on their bar menus paired with local craft whiskeys and ales dimly lit by Edison bulbs. read more

I made an online order. Well, first my order should of been delivered on time but not only was it late it was almost an hour late deliver. Second, the delivery person gave my food to my child instead of asking for an adult, which resulted in no tip cause I did not even meet them, fine by me. I have to say, I love Action Burger! Not because I am a member of the geek age and love talking pop culture fiction in person (yay!) and not just on-line, but I love a great burger. Most burger joints make a decent burger that tastes like grilled meat (Five Guys, ect). I've had those all my life and it's fine. Action Burger, on the other hand, stands out in the burger joint business because how well seasoned and tasty their fresh paties are. Their burgers have a unique blend of spices that awaken my taste buds without overwhelming them. I highly recommend you to stop by, dabble in superhero trivia, and have a Action burger. read more

I've walked by here a few times, always with the intent of stopping by someday, decided tonight was the night. Came in and immediately could not decide what I wanted more on the menu, there were about 7 different things that I wanted equally, so I asked the woman behind the counter what she liked, she chose/described the toragon to me, and was instantly sold. Absolutely dumbfounded when I took the first bite, SO MUCH going on, but SO GOOD. Action Burger, what can be said? it's a weird place. I love comics and video games, so of course i'm going to love the place. The nostalgia factor is off the chart. And the owner Steve knows his comics. The food was pretty nice too. i enjoyed the Marco (turkey burger, turkey bacon, BBQ sauce, and pepperjack cheese) They tried to get me to order off the new menu, the super villain menu, but that food was beyond me. It was all burgers with stuffed chicken or other burgers. They put chili on almost everything and a lot of grilled onions. My turkey burger was seasoned nicely. Sweet Potato fries were a bit burnt, but they said they're hard to cook and they'll be making some changes to the sweet potato fries soon.
