Monday morning, as promised, Jacob arrived to listen to my issue and perform a complete inspection of my system. He made recommendations of repairs with several price points. They always called 20-30 mins before their arrival window and sent a text with the photo of the person coming. A tech came out and examined our door and gave us some options that were reasonably priced. He was very professional and polite. On the day we scheduled the guy parked outside of the garage, introduced him then walked around the garage checking out what he'd need to do to install our new door and opener. He thanked us for clearing out the space so he could work and told us that it would take about 3.5 to 4 hours to complete everything. He stated he does two of these a day and ours was the second. Ok. I got quotes from 3 garage door companies for the repair. The first two companies said my garage door (a Wayne Dalton) was discontinued so they could not get parts. So, they could only quote me for a new door, (@$3,000) which of course, would not match my two other doors. Lavi of Lavish garage door service (named after his grandmother) came to give me a quote. He told me he might be able to get the parts from Wayne Dalton as he had a special relationship with them. He contacted them and they fabricated the two door panels to perfectly match my door. The doors were shipped to their faculty in Orlando so he had to drive there to pick them up. He said that would not be an extra charge for the pickup. I was so pleased to get the repair done at considerably less cost with a repaired door that perfectly matched my current garage doors.
