They "fixed" the issue and quoted me for other things they said I needed. I'm glad I only allowed them to fix the one big thing, because when I took it to Mike he told me I didn't need any of that stuff that everything was fine. My previous experiences with Tire Shops has been hurry up and wait. Action Gator Tire change my mindset today. I called at 7:25am 5 min before the shop opened to get my tire repaired which normal tire shops wouldn't even answer the phone yet. Nick answered the call and told me to come on down and we will take care you. Upon arrival I was expecting an hour to 2 hour wait to get it down as I was a walk in. Action Gator took care of it in 30 minutes which surprised me as there were other cars in the shop as well. First time going and the only thing I have to complain about is how long it took. I scheduled an oil change at 12 but they didn't take it back until 1:30. I had work at 4 so I was starting to get anxious that I wouldn't make it in time. Then I did everything I needed to do and when I got finished they called at 2:40 saying my car was ready. I also asked them to look at my car because I am going on a road trip and this is how I know that they don't try tricking anyone (even the ladies) and they said everything looked completely good and that I'll be safe for my trip. I needed to be at work at 8am and Action Gator opened at 7am so I decided to drop it off for repair. On our way back home we realized we had a nail in one of our tires. We called this place to see how long the wait would be and the charge. We were told it'd be an under 30 minute wait and $20 to patch up the tire. When we arrived (3 minutes after getting off the phone) we get told that it will be an hour and a half wait!!! We inform them that whoever we spoke to in the phone said under 30 minutes but no one admitted to talking to me.... Regardless we waited...the wait area is simple but clean, they have a tv on to help pass the time. I don't know if they felt bad for not admitting to what I was told on the phone but not only did our tire get checked and fixed in 30 minutes but they did not charge us for the repair! We were extremely thankful and it did make up for being misled. They were friendly, I just wish we would have not started off on a bad note. read more

I took my car here last year to get a window fixed. The guys working were friendly and approachable. Their pricing is fair, and they were upfront about everything (cost, time, etc.) I arranged to have them take me to work since I dropped off my car first thing in the morning. They did explain that it would be difficult to pick me up when my car was ready since they get busy later in the day. That was a bit weird, but I did appreciate the honesty - it was better than waiting around for nothing, I guess! The guy who took me to work did say that they could figure something out if, for whatever reason, I couldn't find a ride, which was nice of him. Overall, I would take my car there again. read more

Came in for a wheel alignment,.returned to my pick up my car to find that the general manager of all people drove my car up on the curb, I still paid full price for a front end wheel alignment got a sorry and we can try and fix it. Mind you now it's scratched , they used jacks to try and bend it back, but it still shows damage and all you can say is, sorry call back tomorrow and talk to the manager who is the one responsible for this mess in the first place. I made an appointment for an oil change and advise the representative I was going during my lunch break. I asked the man if this could be done in that hour, he said yes and I scheduled the appointment. They took my car 30 min later!!!! what is the purpose of making appointments? They tried to straight up rob me . I am new to florida , stopped in as i had a flat tire that morning . They proceeded to tell me that the tire was U repairable as the the puncture was to close to the side wall. Then wanted to charge me $210 installed for a new tire, and would have to wait a day. Perhaps they are good at changing tires under 3 hours but I dont recommend this place for anything except over paying for parts and labor. If you love hidden fees with made up excuses this is your place. I was charged 700 dollars for parts and labor for a battery and alternator when in actuality it was 200 dollars less then their asking price. They had the audacity to add on an additional 50 dollars for shop parts. The repairs also took 7 hours. They are good at taking advantage of the situation. I was in an unfortunate situation and found myself having to pay these outrageous prices. However, I will definitely not be returning to this place and do not recommend coming here for anything. Got a quote there for fixing a cylinder that was not firing, which came to be $750, plus the $80 diagnostic fee. This was for replacing 6 spark plugs and 1 ignition wire. I have been thinking about selling my car, so didn't want to sink that much money in, at which point they informed me they had some "wiggle room" and would come down $70. This all sounded very suspicious and I asked for my car back. After looking at a job hours book and building in 100% markup on parts, their labor at this price comes out to be $170 an HOUR. I then took it to a guy that came highly recommended off of 1792. Without telling him what the problem was he came to the same conclusion, that a cylinder wasn't firing. However, he said that only the ignition wire needed to be replaced. IN TOTAL it cost me $134 to fix (he waives the diagnostic fee if you repair it with him). ACTION GATOR TRIED TO CHARGE ME $750 for a job that a reputable guy did for $134. It makes me wonder how much I have been ripped off over the years. They have lost my business and all of my family's business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I dropped my vehicle off and was called back with a total for the repairs. I informed Jeremy Cooley at that time that I didn't want anything to be completed on my car and that I would be back to pick it up which he replied that he would just park the vehicle out front so I could come to pick it up. When I came back to pick up the vehicle there was a bill for over $60 for work they completed. I was not informed of any of this over the phone. I asked Jeremy Cooly why he didn't not provide me with this information and he told me he didn't have to. I wasn't able to take my car without payment. This is unacceptable and disgusting. I have never been treated this way and I have used action gator for over 10 years at multiple locations. BUYER BEWARE. I bought a tire this year and had a major leak recently. Since I could not drive but a few feet without it going flat, I had to get fix a flat so I could go there since I knew I had purchased road hazard on the tire. These very RUDE men took complete advantage of me and said since I used fix a flat that the road hazard warranty didn't apply and I needed to buy another tire. NOWHERE on the receipt did it state that the warranty would be null and void if I used anything to prevent my tire from going completely flat. Nasty older gentleman in there made a smart ass statement saying, "well we can't put all things on them for a warranty." Then the manager was the same way. Nasty and rude. Two people waiting on their cars took the hazard off of their tires and refused to pay for it. I called the corporate office and of course the person hasn't called back. Not done with them yet. I had my car towed here for diagnostics a while back because it wouldn't start. I paid $80 for them to tell me "You need a new MOTOR, but we don't know why, and we can't fix it." My son just fixed it by GOOGLING. All it needed was a new ignition coil and a new sensor! Starts and runs fine now. Though I've heard good things about good service from friends, and they were very NICE, I wouldn't waste your time or money there for diagnostics. Even after the cars oil change was done in 15 min by the technician, the old man on the register took his time to check me out, I was waiting for 40 minutes, while they checked out other customers. Don't ever come to this place. They have no respect for your time whatsoever. We made an appointment the day before for a simple tire patch as it was under warranty as I spent hundreds of dollars for brand new tires there and to get an oil change. Arrived at the allotted time for the appointment and they say to be patient because they are busy. Why even make appointments if you're not going to prioritize appointments over walk in's or be able to organize your time right? 40 minutes go by and they still hadn't taken the car back to be worked on. Over 2 hours later i'm finally leaving when it should have taken no where near that timeframe. I will never go back there again. Even with warranty, it's just not worth it. read more

I've been going to Action Gator for at least 4 years now. I followed Mike from Apopka to Lake Mary because he is so honest and efficient. (I tried the Apopka location once and the service was horrible without Mike there) He never tries to upsell just to make money. There have been times when I thought I needed something done to my car (mind you- I know zero about cars so I can easily get ripped off if I'm not careful) and he explained it wasn't necessary at the time. It is so hard to find a person like that so I don't mind the commute since it offers that piece of mind and I always receive such great customer service!!! read more

Stopped by after being told by Tires Plus down the road I had 'a few nails' in 2 of my tires that were 'irrepairable'. I had one screw that he pulled out, sprayed solution over to see if it bubbled and there was a leak. There wasn't, he had me turn the wheel around to look for the other 'nails'. They were two pebbles that either Tires Plus didn't bother to look at further or found as an excuse to try to get me to buy tires. He picked them off, then said 'You're all set! Have a good day!'. Too bad my happiness turned to anger after I realized the scam that Tires Plus tried to pull on me. Never again. Thanks man at Action Gator :) The only issue I have with this place is their time they give you is usually not what they say it's going to be, it's usually longer. I have been taking my car here for almostc4 years. I never took my car anywhere else even for an oil change. I got a set of tires from them so it included free tire rotation so I always had my tires rotate everytime I took my car in for a oil change. I started to lose my hub caps. At first I didn't think anything about it until I went to the dealer to buy the first hub cap. They told me these hub caps should never come off if they put them on correctly. Next time I took my car in Mike what the dealer said and to please notate my file to be careful with the hub caps. The next hub cap I lost Mike bought me a replacement. The last visit I took my car in for the normal oil change and tire rotation Mike advised me 2 of my hub caps were taped on. I advised if so then his guys did it because no one else has touched my car since buying tires from him in 2012. Mike kept telling me that he would gets me the replacement caps but never did. That was in August 2015. Finally I contacted the cooperate manger Jim and he can tried to say it wasn't there fault. I will never take my car to another action tire and I really hope this review will help someone. read more
