Don't use this company for tow! My car was slightly lowered and the tow truck didn't know how to load the car properly. Instead of trying to load it with wood and the proper technique, he just started naming reasons why he can't do it. He then submitted pictures and made it impossible for me to get a tow off the side of the freeway when the car needed to get off for my safety and everyone else involved. They then called the police on me. I called a private company and they came out within 30 minutes and loaded the car within 5. Super easy process since all this tow guy had to use was a 4x4 to load the car properly but was incompetent of doing so. This towing company responds on behalf of AAA calls and they are a few of those impound employees with a heart& personality, unlike most other Tow Yards. The employees thrive off of charging you hundreds of dollars just to secure your belongings and the employees have very little customer service skills and could care less if you ever get your car released & are ruthless trained to charge an arm& a leg as per daily rates and fine print. Most tow yards are looking to maximize all charges, pay off law enforcement their portion and require documentation to prove you are the registered owner responsible for impound. incur in order to get belongings out of vehicle and could care less about one's details or struggle to come up with exorbitant per diem expenses which can cost up to $5,000 per two days in the lot which just adds up more to the total God forbid you can't come up with the money. There are no fee waivers nor do they assist low income people whom live out of their car. Moreover, Southland towing expediently arrived to help out with gas in which I had to pay $10 for 2 gallons delivered by the technician Marcelino. I've never run out of gas before but they provide the gas can and charge $10 flat rate to deliver it and these service techs obviously work off of tips. so it is always a good measure to tip tow truck drivers. The gas was not the answer as my vehicle still wouldn't start so it was unable to be moved and I then required a flatbed so I waited 15 minutes to have my car towed to Mercedes so the dealership can effectively address the problem. It's up to me to decide if I will follow through w/their service advisements but the car dealership knows its own cars better than any mechanic and will run all diagnostics, make all service suggestions and then provide you with an estimate from their Service Department. Dealerships are priciest place to get car tended to but they always stand behind their work. which is often covered under manufacturer warranty unless your car has more 175,000 miles on it. providing warranty on almost all work performed. Dealerships stick behind the quality and efficacy of their work regardless of year and make if car, if it has 175,000 miles or lower, your still eligible for manufacturer warranty and roadside assistance. Mercedes and their imported parts require an import technician able to run the error codes that often come up in German when the car is in need of certain services so it's best to bring to a dealership as they can eradicate those error codes that most can't read. The Mercedes technicians search for the issues impairing the vehicle and you can wait at dealership, eat popcorn and drink cappuccino or rent a loaner vehicle of your choosing and then ignore their call for a few Mercedes loaner vehicles do not say "courtesy car" on the back of it so you don't look like a dork indicating your just test driving a new vehicle, but thank you Southland for your help as Mike and Marcelino are both are a dynamic duo and great representation of a pleasant a pleasant tow yard experience, Unfortunately, I needed a flatbed to move my disabled vehicle; however, the men of Southland Towing are actually human unlike most tow yard employees throughout the world and work to accommodate the customer and assess the issue. Mike over at the office and Marcelino in the field were both epitome of patient and professional representatives to assist me as a AAA member seeking to get my car to start. I swear I'm the queen of flat tires!! Anyhow, i was in Westminster around 8:30pm and got a effing flat tire. This time it went flat from 42 to 0 within 3 minutes! Pulled up at a gas station and called AAA. 26 miles from home and it was dark and scary... Luckily my 45 mins wait was only 3 mins! CHRIS arrived and saved the day!!! After installing the spare, he added air to my spare tire, made sure everything was in tack, helped put my full size flat in my trunk and all within 10 minutes. Here's the part where it shows he genuinely cares for his customers, he gave us instructions to go less than 50 miles per hour and advise to not panick that the tire reading will alert warning because of the spare. I had a flat tire at home. They sent a guy out to put the spare on. He put the spare on and said he was done. We I got into the car the spare was flat. The driver didn't check it. Then I called back for a tow to the tire shop. To make a long story short the tow truck driver tried to drive the car out of the driveway and he damaged part of the bumper. Had the pleasure of being assisted by Mr. Sanchez. He was communicative on his arrival and very thorough with his initial inspection prior to placing the vehicle on the tow bed. He took the time to ensure whatever problems i was experiencing, wouldn't worsen through the process of transferring the vehicle to the mechanic shop. When we arrived at the mechanic shop, Juan was requested to place the vehicle in a very difficult corner parking spot with very little room to maneuver around. After 5 minutes of moving around his large tow truck he somehow was able to get the vehicle into the inaccessible parking space with ease and no damage to the vehicle or surroundings whatsoever.
