The reason the route was longer was because they have to use designated truck routes (though when I looked up truck routes for the multiple cities required to get to the destination, the route I suggested complied with local trucking routes so idk, I'm still a little confused). I'm relieved they offered me a refund and the situation was handled in a timely manner. Previous review: I can't recommend. The guy was nice but they insisted on taking a route that added more miles to charge me more. I only used them because it's who AAA sent out. When I asked why they insisted on such a long-way-around route AAA only said "their trucks can't always go on main roads" yet they reached my house just fine... James to the rescue! Husband's Jeep went kaput. We never got around to signing up for AAA. I called AAA, asked if we signed up, would be able to use the benefits immediately? The answer is YES! After a 9 minute call signing up with AAA, they dispatched a tow truck with an ETA of 30 minutes. James arrived in 27 minutes, with a phone call mid trip. On arrival, James introduced himself, asked what was going on. He tested the battery, and then tried to get the alternator going. No luck. It needed to be towed. While he was positioning the dead Jeep out of the parking spot and onto the tow truck, people were driving around him with complete disregard. Not once did he lose his cool. As we were having it towed two miles over the AAA allotment, we had to pay for the overage. Credit card payment is accepted. read more

My Wife Called AAA and we got directed to Juan Baltazar he was extremely friendly and went above and beyond than any tech i've come across. My car seemed to have a gas leak and smelled really bad and we had to push it out of the stop light as it would run anymore. This was the second time it happened and we coincidentally got Juan twice. He towed my car home and had me open my hood. Juan pointed out that one of my fuel lines were disconnected and helped me reconnect and had me go for a test drive. I couldn't believe I received this type of service even though he had a long 12 hour shift and shown this type of effort. Kudos to Juan! read more

Tonight, I needed assistance with a flat tire. Chris Pacheco called only about 5 minutes after I placed the request via AAA, to let me know that he was on his way. Sure enough, after less than another ten minutes, he arrived. He greeted me with a smile, and he got right to work on helping to replace the very flat tire with my spare. Because nothing is ever just-that-simple, accessing the spare required a tool that I didn't have in the car with me, so he figured out a way to lower the spare safely. Within only a few more minutes, he had finished everything, correctly, neatly, and completely. All the while, his demeanor was friendly, professional, very competent, and reassuring. 11/4/2021 4:45pm I605 NB near 91FWY License: 87244R1 Tow truck towing Honda Accord cut me off very bad. I saw those turn signals work, not sure why he crossed 2 lanes so aggressively and so close to me with no signal. Super dangerous maneuver at the last second as other cars were merging-on. Swear it's always the tow trucks. I've had at least 10 near-misses with Tow trucks in the past 3months. People need real training before handling anything heavier than a tricycle and stronger than 300HP Also all on dashcam video. just drive better. you saw me. just didnt care. Im few feet away, going like 60 and god forbid you have to brake for other human beings on the road. instead you risk a few other lives. read more

Dontcha love it when someone leaves a light on in the car for who knows how long as it slowly drains your battery and are in complete denial? Well, it spoiled my lunch break. I went out to grab a bite and the sound of Doom met me instead. I wasnt going anywhere and my tummy would be empty. Instead of cruising home at 3:30 I had to call AAA and pray it was not my starter. I made the call and told the dispatcher my car wouldn't start. ETA was about 20 minutes. I was able to track the guy via my phone. They are out in Stanton, which is perfect for West Orange County....Garden Grove, Anaheim, Westminster. The guy showed up in a van, not a tow truck. He assured me if I needed a tow, he would call it in. He was super friendly. He tested my battery and it was low. Duh...tested my alternator and it was fine. I figured as much since all signs pointed to the battery. He charged me up and sent me on my way. He also provided me with a little print out. Quick and friendly. I guess my experience was better than most. Even though my job was easy, I was still pleased. read more

I had to use my Auto Club card a few weeks ago and the tow truck was from Action Towing. The driver was really friendly and very competent. What I really liked about him was that he called me after dropping off my car to confirm the delivery. Above and beyond the call of duty. I asked him to do that because my mechanic always takes a 3 day weekend, and sometimes it turns into 4 or 5 days. I just wanted to make sure that he was there and that the mission was completed. I was driving my old truck and ran out of gas on the 22 freeway. I called AAA and was told that I was out of service calls for the year and would have to pay for the fuel service. I agreed to do so and they arranged dispatch from Action. Action called to check in on me and give a status update on the driver immediately after AAA contacted them. Their office was professional, courteous and sincere. Their driver, Wy, showed up within 15 minutes and was very friendly and helpful. It was honestly one of the best roadside assistance experiences that I've ever had. Also, if I had called them directly the service call would have been $15 less expensive. 0 stars if possible, please read. I had a truly frustrating experience with this company and Willie. My boyfriend got a flat on his car but had to leave for work. We arranged with AAA to do a stand in, meaning my dad would be present when the tow truck arrived. My dad also has a AAA membership. When Willie arrived and we greeted him he was really rude wanting to know if the owner of the car was present. We explained to him that AAA was aware the owner wouldn't be with the car but we all had ID's and any information he would need. He continued to be rude and drove away to park off to the side. Meanwhile we called AAA who was really confused as to why Willie would not tow the car. AAA said it would only take a few minutes to transfer the request of the tow onto my dad's membership who was present. Before we could communicate this to Willie, he drove away. When I called the tow company to explain what had happened, the person I spoke to explained to me that AAA doesn't always know their own policies and it makes them look like the bad people. In addition to all this, Willie was wearing a work shirt that said "Salvador". He said Salvador isn't his name and he just grabs anyone's shirt and puts it on. Willie showed to have a rude persona and acted very unprofessional when representing this company. This entire situation unfortunately occured later in the evening when tire shops were ready to close. By the time AAA sent a different tow truck out, every shop was closed. My only option was to have it towed to my residence and then having to pay extra the following day for a tow to a shop. While I'm sure the company has employees that do their job well, the risk of associating yourself with someone like Willie is not worth the trouble and money. Due to the traffic coming to Industry from the Stanton area the driver was a bit tardy...like 15 mins late. But everything went smoothly! our assigned driver was "Ron" and he was awesome! super cool guy that got the job done with ease. Even when the car was at a weird angle it was no biggie! This company has no integrity at all! Tow truck driver Mike sideswipes my Mom's car and blames it on her. He pulls over, curses her out, threw his card at her, and takes off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The driver showed up and from the cab of his truck shouted that he could not tow us claiming our vehicle was not towable and required special equipment. Our vehicle has been towed before with no special equipment necessary. The driver was agitated and argumentative. He sped off, we called AAA back and then he returned still agitated, took pictures and left again. Do not use them. They are not helpful and are comfortable leaving you stranded late at night and can go into the AAA system and cancel your call altogether to ensure you do not get timely assistance from anyone. I was left feeling stranded and unsafe, concerned he may show up again. From an 8pm call, we finally got home at 3am thanks to a different tow professional and we were only 10 miles from home. read more
