Great business! We rented a U-Haul from them to get our stuff from storage and move into our house in Beaumont. From start to finish everything went smoothly. While my husband and one of the employees were checking the U-Haul to get turned back in, I happened to find a gold spray paint that I couldn't find at Home Depot or Lowe's. Love this place! Mel is awesome! She is very helpful and she has a great selection of hardware goods They even have a big paint selection. It's my new one stop shop down the street from my house. So much better than Home Depot! She also has a farmers market on the first and last Saturday of each month that's if it's not raining. I highly recommend this place! read more

I work in Cherry Valley. I always heard great things about this place and decided to check it out. However when I went to talk to a man there at the front desk he was not only extremely rude but straight up disrespectful. He begrudgingly decided to help me and muttered something like "I'll help you I guess." I figured we got off on the wrong foot so I tried to make small talk with him while he helped me but all I was met with was awkward silence. From great service to good selection in the store, it doesn't get any better than this. Add to this a great location and the cool cats hanging around the store inside. I especially like the big yellow and white guy who seems to always sit on the counter in the morning. As a Cherry Valley resident of many years, I have always been faithful to our local hardware store. However, my faithfulness has since eroded. On more than one occasion, I find the staff less than helpful. It has even gotten to the point that on two occasions, I have felt that the staff feels like it is burden to answer simple questions or help out. Today, was the breaking point when the staff (male) asked me if I could read when I inquired about a product. Wow! Even though, I would love to support local business owners, I will never set foot in that place again. I will gladly drive to Do it Best or Home Depot in Beaumont. I made a Uhaul reservation here. As I arrived at my reservation time I received a call from the store. I walked up and in person they said they double booked my reservation and gave my trailer to someone who walked in. Unfortunately they were y the least bit apologetic. Let me say again...They gave my reservation to a WALK IN. After I planned and scheduled my reservation and drove over.... The "helpful" employee never apologized for their mistake but did try to help correct the situation. They made a new reservation at a different uhaul retailer but never asked where we would like to try to find it from and sent us to a different location over 20 min away in the opposite direction Of where we needed to go. Based on their poor management I had to waste an additional hour of time and gas to correct their mistake. Twice because I'll have to repeat the excess journey to return the trailer as well. Do not settle for service! I will never be taking my business there again after seeing the incompetence in action. read more
