Firstly, almost all MA's are not certified and never went to school. go ANYWHERE else for healthcare!! Worst billing people in the world. They are withholding my money that should have been paid back to me since insurance covered me. Nobody on the phone gave a fuck or ever bothered to ever call me back and help with my issue. I went years back and got charged a full price without insurance even though i used insurance. My insurance said they covered it and it was up to AUC to pay me back. I kept calling to get help and they kept telling me they will call me back in a few months. I wait, I call back. I spent an entire year doing this. When i finally get annoyed enough to get someone to help me, they tacked on extra fees I never had ( because I hadn't ever went back, they literally made up more fees to get me to stop calling) and tried to tell me I had to pay even more. Stingy over a few hundred dollars they literally owed me. I'm pissed off at it on principle. Shady corporation and i'd never come here again. I am going to highly recommend carbon health! The people I saw had actual degrees and certifications who were helping me. One lady was an EKG tech + CMA too which was awesome and she actually knew how to help me medically. I worked at AUC for a year and it was great but everyone was extremely underqualified and learned via youtube videos in the back. Nobody was a CMA. I was not a CMA. It was very disorganized but this was a long time ago. I don't think AUC wanted to pay CMA salaries so they just hired everyone without schooling for 20~ an hour. read more

After verifying several times with the front desk that my insurance was in-network, I've got a bill of over 350$ for the lab test. They "forgot" to mention that the tests are sent to a lab which is an out of network for my insurance. In addition, the lab decided to make my simple straight forward case their experimental playground, and used my credit card as their ATM machine, adding experimental and genetic tests that were completely irrelevant to my case. Contacting the urgent care representative, they claim that the lab is in network, which is not true!(My insurance confirmed several time that this is not the case). Their representative was very rude and unprofessional telling me that they were doing me a favor contacting the lab for me! It is their fault that their front desk lied to me telling me that I was covered while using out of network lab without informing me, and prescribing completely irrelevant tests! I went for an appointment with doctor (appointment made thru ZocDoc), only to be told that dortor was just supervisor and was 200 miles way (Sacramento). They had only nurses practitioner. The nurse (Robert) was less than helpful, did not seem to care about my condition, did not offer any suggestions. I've been to this urgent care twice this year (both times for flu) and both times the experience has been really great. The medical staff were very kind, courteous, and considerate - made sure I was comfortable and asked multiple times if I had any questions. Both times, the doctors (or RN/PA) were professional, helpful and actually identified additional symptoms that needed to be addressed immediately. I felt thankful that they were able to calmly walk me through next steps and address my illness before it became serious. I didn't feel rushed at all and overall had a positive experience. Will definitely go back. It was also very convenient that there is a CVS pharmacy within the same shopping center. The pros: for an urgent care facility, the wait time is negligible. The cons: there was no one in the waiting room but I felt rushed. I went in thinking I had a strep throat, but after in office testing, they found I had the flu. The medical provider (he didn't identify himself as a dr so I'm confused who I was talking to) prescribed me several meds: Promethazine DM Oral Solution Oseltamivir 75mg Capsules Prednisone 20mg Tablets My ears were a bit plugged and my head spinning from the flu so I couldn't really hear him. I asked him to repeat one med but then couldn't remember the rest. When leaving, I asked the assistant if there was an after summary handout. She said it should be sent to me in 24-48 hrs. That's something that should be handed out immediately so the patient knows what to do. The medical provider did not ask if I understood what he was telling me, why he was prescribing what he was prescribing, the side effects of the meds, or what alternatives I could use. I didn't end up getting any of the meds. It made me feel like they probably get paid based on the meds they prescribe. I plan to get new insurance so I don't have to use this place again. read more

Then they will ask you to come back in two days or have a zoom meeting. They made me come back in two days only to tell me when I checked in that my results are still in progress.. Every other place you go to they send you your results via a portal ; they will not make you come back to the urgent care again. I had a terrible experience at Action Urgent Care. I went in for a knee injury, hoping to get proper evaluation and care, but the doctor on site didn't seem capable of performing even the typical tests to rule out possible injuries. After they did an X-ray, I was told I had to pay $35 just to get access to my own images, even though they also mentioned it could be sent through a patient portal. It took me two separate attempts to set up the portal before I could finally access all the information -- a frustrating and unnecessary process. The listed doctor's name is Vladimir Skorokhod, MD, but I'm honestly not even sure if this doctor was actually present or involved. The whole experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking basic patient care standards. I would give zero stars if I could from the moment I walked in I was told my co-pay which used to be $50 because I had anthem Blue Cross. They were in a dispute with anthem for whatever reason so they had to charge me $225 and said anthem would reimburse me... coming all the way from Morgan Hill I didn't wanna turn around and go back home without being seen... That was a huge mistake on my part even though I had a 5:30 PM appointment I made online.. I wasn't seen until after 6 PM. my husband and I waited in the waiting room for a good 45 minutes to an hour before the doctor or should I say "PA" finally came in... the visit felt rushed, and then they scheduled me for a virtual zoom meeting and if I didn't cancel it, I was gonna get charged again... I left a voicemail, but no one returned my call so I called them back and they acted as if I never called... Needless to say I will never be going back to this place. It's a joke. I have such a mixed review of Action Urgent Care. I showed up in December with what I assumed was a horrible pimple under my arm. The doctor at the time ( Jose Robert Gaticales) confirmed it was an ingrown hair and told me to put warm compresses on it, or even take a warm bath in epsom salts to help the swelling. I did that on the second day and within an hour the boil doubled in size, and the infection started going up my arm and I was in the worst pain I have ever felt. I went back and this time was seen by Doctor Odessa Hernandez who was HORRIFIED to find out what Doctor Robert had recommended and immediately told me we would have to lance the boil. I'll spare the gruesome details but I had a 4 centimeter incision in my arm that had to have gauze shoved in it (and later pulled out 3 days afterwards...which resulted in more horrific pain) and due to the infection, I spent the first 24 hours after the lancing battling fevers of 103°, intense chills, dizziness and drowsiness. I cannot thank Doctor Hernandez enough for her wonderful bedside manner, talking me through the whole thing, apologizing for the pain, and making sure I was okay despite everything. Doctor Robert however really needs to work on his treatment plans, his bedside manner, and making sure he's making the correct decisions when it comes to medication recommendations and courses of treatment. read more

After a week with no improvement, I consulted my primary care physician, who prescribed a different treatment that resolved the issue. There were 3 items he initially prescribed, then when i walked in to complain about the partial prescription, he said there were only 2 without checking any record. i don't think he knew which patient i was when he said so. but when i finally got my med from Walgreen, there were 3 items. it looks like it doesn't really matter what medicine patients actually receive. i'm grad that i was not in a severe condition. for people do need but lack that medicine it could cost their lives! During my intial visit Robert seemed in some kind of rush and appeared to be extremly impatient. In the end of our session, i asked "what's steroid? (the item on the prescription)". the dude went "steriod is steriod" looking annoyed.... Robert. appeared to be very unprofessional Overall i think Robert lacks of the professionality and basic respect to his patients. if you really have to go action urgent care, at least avoid Robert. I've been to this urgent care location on a few occasions. I have nothing but respect for fellow healthcare workers. The office staff are kind, however the amount of time I've spent at this urgent care for a simple job related TB test is ridiculous. Over 1.5 hours waiting to go back the first visit WITH an appointment. And 1.5 hours to get the TB test read 48 hours later with only 1 other patient in office at the time. The care I received when I was sick a few weeks ago was subpar at best. I told the medical assistant that my husband, son & I were all sick with fevers & cold symptoms & I felt like I had something worse. The Physician's Assistant (Robert) came in and decided I just had a case of bad allergies. I can tell you now I had a sinus infection & pneumonia. Might as well not have MA's if the PA isn't going to read the notes they've taken or communicate with them. If you need to be seen urgently I recommend calling your primary or going to the emergency room. There's absolutely nothing urgent about this Urgent Care. read more

I don't usually write reviews unless an experience truly stands out--good or bad. In this case, I feel compelled to share, because when honesty is compromised, people deserve to know. This urgent care is conveniently located near our home, so we've chosen it a couple of times for minor emergencies. Most recently, we went in when my daughter injured her finger. They treated her and gave her a basic finger splint--something that typically costs around $3 to $7. To my shock, we were later charged an additional $129 just for the splint, on top of the regular office visit. What's more frustrating is that no one mentioned this extra charge during the visit. Later, I received an outstanding bill with a vague medical code and no explanation. When I called the urgent care, they redirected me to their billing department, who then told me the charge was for the splint--and that it wasn't covered by insurance, so I was responsible for the full amount. I contacted my insurance to clarify, and they confirmed they were never even billed for this item. This lack of transparency and poor communication is unacceptable, especially in healthcare. I had an acute case of ear pain (turned out to be an ear infection) so my need was definitely urgent and this location was closest to me. Booked an appointment online with husband's existing account. When I arrived and provided my insurance card with my name on it, the not-so-bright receptionist kept saying she couldn't look up my insurance (which I literally used the week before). I even showed her my UHC app and she still couldn't figure out, until they called my husband's name to the exam room, that was when we resolved the mystery. People need to READ which was the most elementary prerequisite of the job. I was in such pain and was appalled that my care was delayed by this kind of stupid mistake. The provider was not even a doctor but a RN (which is fine because I know many respectful people in this field - no judgment here), who took a look at my ear, said "it's flared up", and proceeded to send me away with antibiotics. I was appalled again by how quickly and dismissive this "treatment session" (because it didn't feel like one) was. I tried to ask more questions but the provider looked more interested to leave the exam room. I literally spent more time dealing with the stupid receptionist out there than I was in the examination room, which took no more than 5 minutes. When I got the tb test, I felt a bit nauseous because of the needle but they asked if I needed water or anything else. They genuinely care and want to help. I visited Action Urgent Care this past Saturday. Although appointments are not required, they definitely help! I arrived at 5:25 for my 5:30 appointment and was in by 5:45 pm. The appointment was exactly what you would expect from a doctor's visit - the nurse takes your height, weight, blood pressure, temp, etc., then take you to a room where they gather more information about you and understand why you are visiting. After this, you wait for the doctor to come by, examine you and diagnose you. Every person that I interacted with was very friendly and knew what they were doing. The doctor was able to identify my issue and prescribe medicine. I was done by around 6:35, so it took about an hour total. If you're in need of care, I'd recommend visiting here! They have later hours, too, so there is more flexibility in when you visit. read more

Got checked in, waited for a doctor and had a Family Doctor Robert G who didn't help with my high blood pressure and anxiety, basically told me stuff I already knew and how to control my HBP, there wasn't much help or anything he could do but to tell me to jot down daily and check my HBP and monitor it... I asked for any medication or something that would help...he mentioned to do labs first but couldn't do labs because I needed to fast, so i was told to come in the next day to do labs and pay another co-pay of $75 ! I'm not well at all leaving this urgent care and to exit out of here with no medication or anything that would even help me is absolutely frustrating and irritating and such a waste of time and money. They ask if you'd like a follow up call a week later and you say sure - then they call and ask for your credit card number. They never mention they're going to charge you an office visit for a phone call so I cancelled it - and then they said they'll charge me $50 for cancelling within 24 hours! What?? They also charged for additional lab tests that I did not authorize or realize would cost $380. We input information into an app, and when we arrived, I just had to fill in a couple of missing details, and my two very small children and I were swiftly given rapid PCR tests. We had been treated so poorly at Carbon that my children (ages 2 and 5) were a complete mess by the time we reached Action. It meant everything to me that they were so kind and quick. read more

What a nightmare 5 weeks ago I took my daughter here despite being in network and having insurance they made me pay upfront $350 when I should only have paid my copay of $25. I got receipts submitted them to my insurance but those receipt do not have the proper CPT or diagnosis code needed to process the claim. We called along with my insurance company 5 times to obtain those codes no help whatsoever always the same talk we do not have that but someone will get back to you within 24 h been waiting 5 weeks for someone to call me! My daughter had busted up her lip pretty good and we were pretty worried when we saw that the local ER's had a 2+ hour wait we headed here. We didn't have an appointment but they took us in right away. The front office staff was very helpful signing up through their app and navigating everything I needed to fill out. They were also VERY caring and gentle with my 4 year old daughter. They made her feel very safe and cared for even tho she was scared. When we got to the exam room my daughter was cared for by Dr Jeff and he was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was very calming for both my wife and I and very gentle with my daughter. He was very concise with his diagnosis and very knowledgeable as well.
