I order from them all the time for my warehouse and they deliver! I am about to place another order and love how I can walk into their showroom to see what I need as well. I definitely use a warehouse helper to help me build the shelves as they deliver them to you flat with assembly required. So keep that in mind. But if you can do that or have help in that department GO for it! We always get the heavy duty shelves so we can put lots of weight on them! read more

Meh. The girls who work in the front are very nice! The product we bought is not :( Spent 1,200 bucks on this boltless shelving. Lets call it "Ball" less shelving because these things are so helpless and weak! All Shivering....dropping the soap, lol! They are also a TOTAL pain in the ass to assemble and you can NOT do it yourself, its a two person job when it shouldn't be. While you're GENTLY and CAREFULLY putting one corner together... another corner is popping out and coming apart INSTANTLY! So frustrating! After they are assembled, they feel VERY unstable. One good quake and I am sure they will fall right over! Had to TRY to stablize them with Zipties and staples to the wall. Yea, that looks great! :( The only good product we bought from them was the black chrome shelving, works great and very sturdy! But as for this Boltless, "Ball-less" expensive ass shelving....NEVER AGAIN! They may "look" nice and tidy...but thats just LOOKS. I would have much rather these things have had screws and feel stable vs. boltless and "temporary". This shelving would be good for a temporary business or pop up shop selling tee-shirts or something but for long term heavy storage...very unbalanced and wobbly...forget about it! Sadly, this was the weakest and most unstable 900 pounds of metal we ever bought!!! :( read more

I wish I could give them -5 stars. Most horrible experience I've ever encountered with these folks. Ordered 10 ft beams for the warehouse and wanted 8 ft instead. Before we placed a new order, we asked the staff if we can exchange them before ordering all 8 ft beams to replace the 10ft ones. They promised they would so we placed the order. Once we paid for them, they pulled the rug from under us and only took back a partial. Had we known they wouldn't have taken all, we would have just order enough to replace the ones they'll take back. Stuck with a pallet of beams. Smh. We were supposed to go with Shelf Master, Inc. Down the street from them but they were on back order for 2 weeks. We should've waited. Avoid this company at all cost. Customer service should be priority but it's definitely not with these guys. Shame on you. Everyone, please do your due diligence and shop around first. There are other companies that treat their customers and workers better. read more

These folks are God sent. Their products are top notch. Their service is excellent. Carmen, the rep who answers the phone and handles the web site cháy is knowledgeable, efficient and effective. Luis, one of their drivers, is extremely prompt. His notes the order said to call an hour prior to delivery. He did. Then he showed up within 3 minutes of the delivery time. I ordered 44 12' high racks on a Wednesday. They came that Friday in Irvine on time, at a great price, and free delivery. Service provided by Bianca was above expectations. She answered all my questions and was patient throughout the time we communicated over phone, in-person, email, and IM chat before I made my order. The racks themselves, Series 1, were easy to assemble as I hired a guy to do it and he had his 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter help. Garbage used blemished materials. Arrived in a pallet wrapped. When opened it was damaged and looks used with paint blemish on them. Looks used. Do not buy anything from them, they cut corners every chance they get. They have a 14 day return policy except if you contact them to return it, they will prolong it and waste time so you go past the 14 day window and cannot return it. Horrible company with zero morals and sell unsafe trash products that break down easily. There return policy should be 0 days. Cheaply wielded racks that are dangerous for workers environment. read more

Just got off the phone with Toby who told me since I was not there when delivery was attempted that I would be punished by not having them deliver until next Tuesday, a week away. I said, "so you are going to punish me by making me wait a week for the next delivery" and she said "Yes". When they called yesterday to say delivery would be made the next day no one said I had to be there to accept delivery. They kept telling me they have never had this happen before and the items could not be left unattended. All that would have been fine if I had been notified and I would not be so upset if one person had said I am so sorry for YOUR inconvenience, not that I inconvenienced their precious truck driver. I own my own business and NEVER treat customers this way. My dear sweet husband wants their products or I would go tell them what they could do with their materials. read more

great prices and really good products. BUT, caveat emptor. i've ordered multiple times from action and had always had a good experience. until it stopped. i now have an extremely cautious relationship. 1st issue: using the website to order, instead of calling it in, i wasn't sure what height shelves i had used in the past, so called to inquire. they looked at my past orders and told me which style number to use. i placed the order online using that number. the delivery came and i stored it until i had time to install. when i attempted to install, it was taller than all of my other shelves. i called and ultimately spoke with toby. toby said that action only consider returns with in the first week, i was a couple weeks past that. after much discussion, she finally offered that if i brought them in, she would have them cut to size. (i can do that myself). i ended up letting it go. i had waited to install them, my bad. i cut them myself and moved on. lessons learned: 1) dont order unless i can install right away to make sure order is correct. 2) dont trust customer service when ordering items. 2nd issue: recently i ordered more units with extra shelves directly to a storage facility. i brought one complete extra shelf unit with me that was left over from a previous install. i kept checking with action for an eta of deliver because cel service was spotty at delivery address. driver arrived and had to wait about 5 minutes according to storage staff, drive insists he has been waiting 30 minutes. i had gone looking for him about every 15 minutes from an hour out from expected delivery time. i let it roll off my back, he's here, lets do this. driver drops the load and i sign for it. i begin install. when i come to the last shelving unit i discover i am missing parts. so i call action straight away, same day as delivery. toby, the owners daughter, and owner in her own right, refuses to accept responsibility for the missing parts. despite my prompt report, photographs, and details of the incident. she insists she over shipped me. finally, she offers that if i pay for the missing parts, she will waive the delivery fee ($25). i pay for the parts (under $40) and get them delivered. i paid it. wasn't happy, but needed to complete the unit. lessons learned: 1) action does not acknowledge any wrong doing at all. 2) when a delivery is dropped, measure and count all of the parts, undoing wrapping and packaging to make sure everything is there and as ordered, before signing delivery receipt. (i feel bad for the driver, but its gotta be done.) i will continue to do business with them, again prices are really good and products have been solid, but i dont feel happy about it, i cant just trust them to be honest and reliable. good thing i dont do business with them often. read more

Catalogue prices are not honored, with insulting treatment if you "dare" to question why. AW used to have excellent customer service a few years ago but has dropped the ball as of late. Their website says they offer the best products in their industry, but the shelving I received had blemishes, marks, and scratches all over it! They were nice enough to take back the damaged shelves, but then they sent me a new set that were equally as damaged! Toby was the manager I dealt with. In a very condescending tone, she made me feel like wanting my my "new" shelves to be in "new" condition was too much to ask for! It's ironic that their website also says they don't accept returns if the merchandise isn't in "new" condition, yet they expect us to pay them hundreds of dollars for products that are definitely not in new condition!
