Kids, here's a lesson for you: when a rock dings your windshield, cover the area with a piece of scotch tape to prevent dirt from getting inside the crack and get it fixed as soon as possible. Sherman came by today to take a look at our windshield... It got a little ding driving this weekend and we thought we had to fix it ASAP. Turns out we didn't, and Sherman rocked. Action Windshield Repair just stopped by this morning to fix a new crack in my Honda Accord's front windshield. It's owned and operated by a guy named Sherman Jacobs who's been in the business of fixing windshields for the past 13 years. He's a friendly guy and was very accommodating with setting up a time to come by and fix the crack on site. His price of $45 seems very competitive with the other places I called (actually the lowest) and his work was great. I had a 13" long crack in the bottom left (driver side) of my window that sprouted over a weekend while I had left my car at the airport. He stopped it from spreading (drilling an end hole) and then sealed the crack with resin. O.K., just met Sherman who came to fix my windshield after a asteroid broke apart over South Denver on I-25 yesterday afternoon. Didn't know an asteroid broke up over Denver...? On a last minute Sunday afternoon Sherman was able to swing by and fix a nasty chip in my windshield. Just had a small chip in my windshield repaired by Sherman. He was easy to contact and fixed it same day within 20 minutes, even though it was 20mph wind and so cold. He was polite, and told me everything he was doing to the window and why as he did it (scotch tape, Ill remember that next time). You cant even tell there is a chip now and his price was very fair! I had a pretty long edge crack that had grown a couple inches in just days. Other companies generally wouldn't agree to repair it because it was larger than a dollar (though just a straight crack on my passenger side). I was worried I might have to have my windshield replaced. Sherman came out to where I work the day I called and fixed it within a half hour.
