I had been holding off on replacing my windshield as I knew it'd be pricey. But alas, a chip grew into a crack which grew longer and I knew I had to take the plunge to replace it. DONT USE! I had them come out and replace a window on my jeep grand Cherokee and waited 3 days to drive. When I got on the highway the rubber seal on the side of the window came up. That was 2 weeks ago and now they said they'd be back out last week and have stood me up for 3 days straight now and won't respond to texts or calls. I called JC Auto Glass and spoke with Omar about a quote to get my Toyota Tacoma fixed. It was a victim of a smash and grab at an RTD lot that broke out the passenger rear quarter panel glass. Super impressed with JC Auto Glass! I was nervous about the cost and time it would take to replace my windshield because I'm trying to save money and I have to use my car for work, but JC Auto Glass was super affordable and fast. Highly recommend. I was surprised to find out that you can do a search on Yelp for windshield repair and that Yelp will craft a message and send it to multiple windshield repair places for you. Yelp selected 5 or so of the best rated windshield repair places close to me, asked me a couple questions about my vehicle, and then sent out an automated message to all of these shops. It was AWESOME. JC Auto Glass was fast to respond and gave me a great quote. Bonus points that JC Auto Glass drove to my home to do the repair at no extra cost - it was still cheaper than the shops I'd have to bring my car into. Once I got the quote, I called JC Auto Glass and set up my appointment. They gave me a couple dates with different timeframes and I selected a date. It was so easy. Unfortunately, something came up for me the morning of my repair so I called JC Auto Glass first thing and rescheduled for a couple days later with no problem. I felt so bad for rescheduling so last minute, but they were super understanding. About 30 minutes before arrival, Omar called me to let me know he was on his way. The first day they were scheduled to replace my windshield they called to say that there was a problem with the windshield they had received from their supplier. They rescheduled for the next day and arrived with the new windshield. They installed it quickly and carefully. Now that I've had the new windshield a month I can say its excellent. Some businesses have lots and lots of reviews and usually the really good ones have mostly good and an occasional 3, 2, or even 1 star review. I tend to try and support small businesses and sometimes that means rolling the dice on whether the reviews online are accurate and give an idea of the business you'll be dealing with. Well, last year around May before a road trip to the East Coast I looked around and found a company that not only had excellent reviews but also was extremely affordable. Obviously at the time I thought it was a gamble but when I noticed that it was possibly a branch of a larger company I was suspicious again. However, I called and spoke to Omar and found out that despite the name his was a sole ownership. Omar is a perfectionist does fantastic work and was able to get our Suburban ready for the road trip, he went out of his way to clean and make sure that he left the car in better shape (and not just the windshield) than it had been when he got there. He was done in about 90 minutes and we were thrilled. Sadly I was so busy at the time I had forgotten to write a review, sorry Omar. Fast forward to today, my small car was in need of a windshield and I called Omar. The price was still amazing, the work was done in LESS than an hour and he was on time and came to the house to do the work. Omar is a gentleman, works hard, is dedicated to his craft and does excellent work. As usual he left the car better than when he arrived (including the windshield) and charged an extremely fair price. I can't recommend this business enough. UPDATE: Less than a year later and I am already having to replace this windshield somewhere else! Everything was fine for a while and then I had a small chip pop up. After having to play communication tag for weeks via email/text/phone and no understanding for scheduling with customer's/my work schedule only their own, I was finally able to bring my car into the shop this time to have Omar "fix" the chips. I assumed they were fixed correctly. Months later a small crack develops on that side of the windshield, once again I go rounds on communication, when trying to find out what's going on, if this can be remedied or if this was covered under warranty, etc. I was told basically it was due to the rock chip from a few months prior which mind you they supposedly fixed! Whether or not that could be confirmed I had to go rounds with getting dodged about bringing the car back in to have it looked at, until finally the crack got so bad it was all irreparable and Omar just stopped responding to communication altogether. So now with a giant crack across my entire windshield, I have to replace it elsewhere. I am very displeased with the service now received and having to go elsewhere to purchase another expensive windshield, hopefully this time with a company who does good work, communicates properly, and honors their warranties, etc. Certainly was not expecting this outcome. read more
