The studio itself is super clean and aesthetic, and I loved wrapping up with a cool eucalyptus towel afterward.

I patiently waited a whole year to write my review because from the moment I walked into this…read morestudio, I had a feeling I was going to love it & I did! This is a women owned business & I cannot be more proud of Erika & Leeann for doing what they do, what they've accomplished, & what is yet to come! This studio isn't your typical Barre studio, they really do teach more than just Barre, but also connecting to your mind, body, & soul. I love the fact this studio is not a chain, which makes it more special because it locally owned & their technique is impressive! I noticed there is never more than 10 people in the class, which is a plus! The instructors are able to concentrate on helping everyone with their forms & it becomes more personal compared going to a chain. I love the fact that every class/workout is different! The esthetics of the studio is what makes it different as well. Everything from the scents to décor, it gives a good energy & it literally doesn't make you feel like you're at a typical gym or workout space. All the women who work in the studio really do put in all their efforts to make everyone special & feel so welcomed. Try a class & you won't regret it!

Class sizes are small and Erika and LeeAnn are amazing instructors! One thing so unique about this studio is Erika makes sure your form is correct so that you don't hurt yourself. After I mentioned I was having back issues to Erika after class, she spent some time with me to make sure my form was correct and I haven't had any issues since! So appreciative of Erika and the Barre and Bay Wreath community. I hadn't taken barre classes previously and was very weak when I first started, but I always felt welcome. Love coming to classes here and can really see the difference in how strong I'm getting!! Can't wait for my next class!!

Bought a two-week pass after a good intro class and brought a friend along. Friday was my first…read moreclass as a paying member -- I arrived ten minutes late after an hour of driving from summer camp dropoff with unexpected traffic, and was turned away at the door. Apparently, grace is only extended for five minutes. The owner explained why. First, safety: I'd missed the warm-up. (During my intro class, her receptionist joined about ten minutes late. So much for that.) Second, and more telling -- if she let me in, what would the other clients think? They'd think lateness was acceptable. The optics mattered more than the paying member standing in front of her In tears. Third, the policy was in an email I admittedly hadn't read closely. I was new- it was my first class as a member, so I truly didn't know or I wouldn't have driven the extra 30 minutes. All it would have taken: "Come in, warm up on your own and take it slow. For next time, we have a five-minute grace period." Rule intact, member retained. Instead I was sent home, and when I asked to refund the pass I hadn't used for a single class, I was told no -- she provides a service and I pay for it. Rigid, and not interested in the people paying to be there or in having empathy for real life situations.

I recently started incorporating barre into my workouts and I love it! I just took 2 classes here with Makenna and Sammi. Everyone here is super nice and the location is steps away from the beach. Parking is not hard at all as there is plenty. Not to mention there is a ton of shops around.

I've been here multiple times. Great studio, very clean and with an awesome vibe. I love being…read moreoutside and I especially love the area at the back of the yoga space where you aren't quite under the canopy and you can look up at the trees. I also love the little altar that they have set up on the steps in between the instructor and the deck where the students are practicing. They always have it decorated with seasonal items and it's so pretty. I really enjoy the instructors. Today was Asia and she always teaches such an engaging flow. I also enjoy the classes with the live music. What I'm not a big fan of is the wellness area they have set up behind the studio in the grassy area adjacent to the yoga deck. They do cold plunge out there during the class and to be honest, I find it distracting. During today's class there was someone in the cold plunge in the beginning, fortunately that person was very quiet, but I was aware that they were back there. There have been other times when I was there when there were people in the cold plunge and they were laughing and talking while the class was going on. I get it that the studio is in the heart of Bird Rock that there is other noise from the street, from the taco shop next-door, etc. But to have the distraction in the space you are practicing in is not ideal. When I checked in at the front, the girl who had me sign the waiver asked me if I was aware that they had a wellness area behind the studio. I told her yes, and that I was not a big fan of it. She told me that they are brainstorming ways to separate that area from the front of the studio more efficiently. Hopefully they come up with some solutions!

It was my first time at the studio and I decided to go last minute with a friend. I did not have my mat with me. They did not charge me to use theirs since this was my first time. I really appreciated that detail. The space is gorgeous, beautiful studio. I'm not sure, though that the atmosphere is ideal for a Yin class with soundbath. The class that I went to was at 7 PM and the restaurant next-door was super loud and busy with crashing noises. Also in the cold plunge right behind the studio there were several people there, and it was extremely loud and kind of disruptive for the Yin practice. When you're supposed to be holding a pose for five minutes and remaining still it's hard to do so when there's loud noises around you, especially if you're easily distracted like I am. other than that everything is perfect here. I love the scents that they use and the sounds that they use very relaxing when it was quiet there were a couple times where I almost fell asleep in a pose. I also love when the seagulls fly overhead and squawk, reminding you that you're outdoors. It does get a little cold at night. It was nice to have the blanket they provide for shavasana.
