Honor Pilates is a fantastic pilates studio in the heart of La Jolla! Back in the day I use to go two other pilates studios nearby that no longer exist. It was awesome to check out Honor, definitely enjoyed their classes and such a great workout! Upon entering the studio is spacious, modern, and clean. I love the aesthetics here! I spoke with another student who was super friendly and motivating on her way out with her third time coming! She talked highly about Honor and seemed energetic and kind on her way out when I was entering in for my first class here. The person covering the desk was nice and both instructors I have taken were awesome. They have great music and help with form, I definitely felt the push and burn from doing Honor Pilates. Their machines are newer and easy to use if you are familiar with the older traditional reformers. Parking was easy when I came here, but it was mid morning during the weekday which makes it less busy. read more

I've been wanting to go to this studio since it came across my IG and TikTok feed. I came here on a Sunday morning with two of my friends while visiting La Jolla. We signed up for the 8:10 class, and we arrived super early since the guidance given was to get there 15 mins early before your first class. My friends and I have taken reformer pilates classes before but are no means experts - so we were excited! Pros: The aesthetics and overall vibe when I walked in was great! The merch was super cute, and I highly recommend taking advantage of their $75 summer swag deal!! The instructor was awesome. She had a really good pace for the class and was great at correcting form. The other people taking the class were also helpful in cueing changes and transitions. Con: When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We weren't sure what to do. We tried to check in, but since it was our first time we were unable to do so and the iPad said to check in with the front desk. We were able to manage signing the liability waiver on our own. The class before us ended later then scheduled making everyone rush in and out, not leaving any time to ask general questions or go over the mechanics of the reformer. Also, it's first come first serve in terms of what reformer you use for the class. I'm used to one being assigned to you when you sign up for the class. Overall the class was great, very humbling. Lol! It was a great studio, a few things need to be ironed out, but an overall ok experience. read more

I had an amazing first-time experience here with Aerin! She was friendly and welcoming. She gave me a quick rundown of the machine and guided the class clearly. She even went to demonstrate herself as well as correcting my form. This place is very aesthetically pleasing. The dimmer lighting makes me feel more comfortable, so others can't see me as well, as I'm still learning. The black reformers are very sleek, easy to use, and sturdy. I'm definitely coming back with my friends, but probably at their other location. This one is farther away from me and street parking is difficult to find even if there's plenty. read more

They cancelled my reservation yesterday, and I saw the email an hour before the class started today. They didn't provide a reason either, and it's very annoying. They gave me my ClassPass credits back, but it won't let me reserve a different class with them again bc I'm not eligible for a free trial anymore. My friend and I took a class with Lauren. I've been to the Kearny Mesa location but this was my first time at this location and my friend's first time doing reformer Pilates. When we arrived we checked in, and signed the waiver. Since it was my friend's first time, she got a quick intro of the reformer. Although I've taken Pilates, before I found Lauren's instructions confusing, we felt lost at times and it would've helped if she corrected our form or offer any modifications for some movements . A beautiful new pilates studio in La Jolla! I'm in the process of finding "my" pilates studio and decided to give Honor a try after walking by it one day while in the area. Checking online, their prices are on the affordable side (I'm guessing it's due to their newness as a studio). Though honestly speaking, when is pilates ever really affordable... As a first-timer, you can drop in for a single class for $15 to feel things out. If you're invested and looking into monthly packages, they're having a pretty killer New Year's offer going on right now! I opted for their Honor Foundations class which is their beginner class with Maggie. I actually showed up 5 minutes late (criminal pilates etiquette I know) and the team was super accommodating and helpful. The girl working the front desk walked me in and showed me basic features of their reformer (it's a lot fancier than ones I'm used to). Maggie was amazing! Super kind, motivating, and attentive. She's really in tune with everyone in class, making corrections, always offering modifications, and giving tons of encouragement! She also knew so many people by name and took the effort to introduce herself to new faces after class which really warmed my heart. My only pause from making Honor my new go-to is their class schedule. I'm still a beginner- the foundations class felt just the right amount of challenging to me. They only offer 2 beginner classes each week and they happen to be at 9:30am... not ideal for a corporate girly. Would love love love if they offered a larger variety of classes accounting for varying difficulty levels! read more

My friend and I came here for the $7 deal which I believe was for their opening week. The studio itself is beautiful and really motivates you to work out. I loved having mirrors in front of the reformers in order to really make sure your form is correct! The instructor we had was unfortunately just okay. She tried her best to give clear instructions but they were difficult to follow without visualization. The way the studio is set up, I had difficulty locating her when she showed us the movements! At one point, both of my neighboring Pilates girls movements were different... She also did not fix the form for anyone near me... which is interesting as I'm sure that my form was incorrect. Guess that just is part of being in a larger class, but I know you can definitely hurt yourself!!! I've been doing Pilates for several months now at different studios around SD, and I've noticed that the high handle bars on these reformers at this studio are not sturdy. All the other high handles on reformers I've been on do not move at all, so that threw me off when we were doing some arm exercises. Could've totally just been my machine but the friend I came with said the same thing. Overall, the workout was good. But the lack of clear instructions and form fixing is really what will prevent me from coming back! Hoping that things will improve as they get into their groove. read more

staff is very nice. i go to the kearny mesa location. i had a founder membership but like all pilates membership it is still expensive. the studio is very clean. it's dark which i like. they have ac. i feel like the instructors are very methodical with the layers. the instructors are not intimidating and very welcoming to all age, size, gender, level, classpass or membership unlike other places where they won't even speak to you if you use classpass or if you don't look like an instagram model. another topic. they had a holiday deal posted on their app and they did not honor it bc they forgot to take it off their app. they should be careful with things like that where a disgruntled person can get them in trouble. read more

My daughter and her friend are both 16 and they signed up for the first time Pilates class for $15. Her friend was first on their waitlist, I am still not certain why they would charge you if you weren't guaranteed a spot in the class. Anyhow, when the girls arrived the front desk attendant was very rude and told them there weren't enough reformers and space for them in the class. The weird thing was, the girls saw plenty of open reformers. The next day I emailed and direct messaged on Instagram with no response, shame on you Honor Pilates.
