They urged me to give them a try. So I did and the rest is history. Paul and the folks at Warren are first rate. Phone calls are returned promptly. Service appointments are a snap to make and problems are id'd promptly and professionally. When my AC went on the fritz one July 4th, my emergency call was returned and I was talked through a reboot/fix. Turns out it was something I could do myself. Other companies out there would not have returned the call until the next business day. If you can't tell, I'm a fan. We appreciate you guys very much.

I…read morealso have a friend who has had positive experiences with Old York so I didn't hesitate to call them when my 1st floor unit AC wasn't working. They were prompt in scheduling an appt. and actually called the day before because the technician was "right around the corner" so he came a day earlier. Apparently the emergency "off" switch was accidentally turned off when my husband changed the filter. He noticed it immediately but charged me $150 for the visit. I understand a minimum trip charge but he was literally less than 1/2 mile away so he wasn't going out of his way to come to my house. When I called Old York to explain that I thought the charge was excessive considering all he had to do was flip a switch, I was told someone would call me back in a couple of days. Of course no one did and when I followed up a week later I was told that the technician also checked the electrical connections and the pressure and that is how they justified that charge. He was here no more than 10 minutes but spent 1/2 hr sitting in my driveway afterwards. I guess that is how they justify the time spent on the job even if they aren't doing anything. You would think they might offer a partial credit towards a future service just to keep a customer. I will not be using their services in the future nor will I recommend them.

Fast forward to today - we tried asking them to fix this issue, they came back and said the issue wasn't under their permit, it was under our contractor's permit. Sorry, but YOU are the ones that installed and moved the smoke detector, NOT the contractor and now it's going to take a small fortune to fix their screw up (WHILE THEY GET OFF SCOTT FREE) to bring my house up to code. The second they agreed to do that they should made sure the job was up to code - even if it was "under their permit." Avoid at all costs.

He assessed the situation and was able to re-wire and install the ceiling fan which included a quick trip to the appliance store to provide a needed wall plate for that new fan. After that, he helped us reassemble and position bed that originally needed to be moved to get at the ceiling fan.
