I couldn't drive home fast enough to write this review. For the last several months, I have had lower back pain. I thought my body was telling me to rest. Therefore, I stopped, going to the gym and doing most of my daily activities outdoors in fear I would make things worse. Exercise and the outdoors are my medicine to heal my every day stressors and mental health. My coworker told me about Dr. Scott and so I made an appointment and met with him today. I learned so much and felt 100% better when I left in fact, I cried because I have been struggling and the amount of discomfort being lifted really just made me want to go on a 20 mile bike ride. If there's one thing that I've learned in life is that there are Doctors and there are Healers. Dr. Scott is incredible and more than just a healer but has a great deal of understanding how important it is for energy to flow properly through your body. We have been patients of Dr. Scott for 4 years now. His commitment to our overall health has really helped my wife and I stay balanced. I have been seeing chiropractors since I was in high school. Dr. Scott is by far the best adjuster I've seen. Those that have used chiropractors before know the value of a great adjuster and Dr. Scott never disappoints. I hugely recommend Dr. Scott! I went in thinking I had a bad hamstring and glut injury. I was unable to move my left leg without a lot of pain and very limited movement. Every one of my visits to Active Life have been nothing but great! I was in a car accident a few years ago and needed to go to a chiropractor. The insurance covered a few visits but I have kept on going back just because it makes me feel healthier. Dr. Scott Threde is amazing!! And the receptionist, Tiffany is great too. They always give me great healthy eating and excercising tips and they are very laid back and fun. Every visit is informative and the Dr. walks you through everything he does. I started going to Dr. Scott Threde at Active Life Chiropractic in December. I had put off for many years going back to a chiropractor although I knew that I needed to do something. I had gone to a few different doctors and to a spine clinic and to physical therapy-all to no avail. I have scoliosis and have built up a huge hump-painful and embarrassing-on one side of my back. I also had a cervical fusion done in 1998 and was afraid to have anyone even touch my neck since then. I was warned by the surgeon about being careful....and I have a titanium plate and screws in my neck. Well, I decided it was time to earnestly search for help-but I was a little afraid. From my initial meeting with Dr. Threde he understood exactly what was going on-not only from a physical standpoint but from an emotional one. He knew that in order to be able to help me physically that he would first have to gain my trust and be able to relax me. Well, I cannot say enough about what is happening-it is like a miracle! He has been able to adjust my neck and my spine and start relaxing that awful "hump" of mine. I have not been this pain free in so many years that I am smiling from ear to ear most of the time. This has changed everything and it keeps getting better. It has impacted so many things that I hadn't even realized were being affected by my constant pain. My friends have been asking me about what I'm doing and remarking on how much better my back looks and how I'm standing so much straighter and taller-not to mention how much happier and upbeat I am! After doing my research and by the many recommendations I had received, I made the decision to have a consultation with Dr. Scott. I was unable to meet the needs of his schedule while booking my initial consultation, and he stayed late for me. One of the things I like about Scott Threde is he gives a full manipulation; so many chiros use those little dinky tools that don't do much for my back. (Maybe my neck). Scott was the 4th in a series of Chiropractic doctors I tried over a period of several years. Almost giving up the profession as a cure for my spasms in my side I decided to give it one more try. Much to my surprise and amazement After 8 sessions my problem disappeared. Scott zeroed in on the cause of the problem and stopped the spasms. I have been extremely happy with the care I received by Dr. Scott at Active Life Chiropractic. I initially came to see him through a recommendation made by my sister. She had told me that he was the only Chiropractor she had seen that actually relieved all the pain she had following a car accident. I started seeing Dr. Scott for severe nerve pain in my forearm and hand, in which I have had on and off for at least five years. The pain was very severe. My MD had diagnosed it as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and Dr. Scott through a number of physical tests came to the same conclusion. I am happy to say that I am 100% free of pain. This guy is extremely unprofessional when it comes to an attractive female. Like beyond inappropriate in so many ways its unbelievable. My girlfriend worked at the gym at the resort and got free adjustments because of it and before we started dating she saw him a few times and he made her extremely uncomfortable. He would hit on her, ask her how she didnt have a boyfriend, told her if he was her age he would be chasing after her unless she likes older men then he will chase after her now. Then she didnt see him for awhile until her body just couldn't take the pain of her imbalances and needed adjusting but couldn't afford to go anywhere else. At this point we were dating and she went to see him and the same thing goes on, he hits on her and then finds out she has a boyfriend so does it in a different way. Every time she would come in he would compliment her body, tell her she looks like she has been toning up and how good she looks, how she should be extremely happy with herself and going on and on about how good looking she is and has so much to offer a man. Her and I have been extremely happy and there was no reason for this conversation to be had besides his own selfish personal interest of being a creep. He would have her pants rolled down to massage her lower back near her butt crack and one time in particular she was being adjusted by him he said something about her being tight in a certain area and that it was related to her piriformis (for those who dont know where this is located it is a deep DEEP muscle tissue in the glute(butt cheek) and without asking her if she was comfortable with it he just began digging his fingers into her butt cheeks so he could just feel her ass up because he was always perving out on her. After that session he even went onto her facebook page and requested to add her. Given she is extremely nice and worked at the same resort she didn't want to make any issues come about from it. I am now currently enrolled in some physical therapy classes myself and learning deep tissue massages and stretches for rehabilitating athletes as well as any other clients one day and what he did to her is BEYOND unprofessional, inappropriate and just disgusting. If her piriformis was the problem for being to tight of a muscle the proper and professional way to approach it would have been to ask first, tell her what he is going to do then use an elbow or a closed fist into the glute not fingers and to top it off he could have just done a facilitated stretch with her to help loosen the piriformis then told her to go home and foam roll it, but instead since he was having perverted tendencies with her for almost a year of her working there he just couldn't control himself and had to touch her ass with his hands while being inappropriate and hitting on her and talking about how nice her body looks. read more
