What a hidden gem this location is for those of us wanting to stay active as we mature into our golden years. You can interact, meet new friends & sign up for activities. I've gone to my first monthly luncheon & presentation was top notch! Food was delicious & meeting new friends - priceless. I'm glad to join & attend activities when I'm free to do so. read more

The corporation exists to serve the senior citizens in Monterey County, California.

Established in 1959.

Active Seniors Inc. was established just over 60 years ago. We accept members who are 55 or older. We offer the following activities for our members: Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Bridge, Cribbage, Ukulele Class, Ping Pong, Technology Workshops, Line Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, Book Club, Tours and our award winning Luncheons. Moncerat was a class act - competent, calming, knowledgable and very effective. Both issues were quickly understood by her, and she set me up to be able to complete the solution. i cannot speak highly enough of her, or of any organization employing someone like her, as well as having 14 volunteers ready to stand by and help seniors. i would definitely advise any senior with an issue to jump in and seek help here.

This agency is the "worst." We had an appointment originally back in December 28, 2022. Bethany,…read morethe coordinator said because of the Holiday's naturally a CNA wouldn't start until the first of the year. It is now January 13, 2023. I had to call them this week because I hadn't heard anything from Bethany. Guess what her excuse was? She had the wrong number! Did she try calling the alternate phone number? The only communication I received after our December 28 meeting with Bethany was a "text" on January 10 saying she hasn't called because she had the "wrong number" was too busy assisting other "seniors" and our CNA was "sick." That's it. I can clearly see why they have a "3 Star" average. Excuse, after excuse after excuse.

We have had home care aides through our nationally known long-term care insurance, for several…read moreyears. With our authorization, payments were made directly to the care agency, so we did not have to deal with anything except establishing our eligibility for services under the policy. We recently moved to Monterey and contacted Central Coast Senior Services. We were told that they did not deal with long term care insurance companies, even MetLife or CalPERS. We would have to pay them for services each month and then we were responsible for getting reimbursed by our long-term care insurance. This means we would have to send care notes, invoices and other documentation each month to the insurance company. Whatever the quality of service Central Coast provides, and it may well be good, but potential customers should be aware of this unusual part of their services and the additional work it entails.

Cabanas get cheaper the longer you're there I believe we waiting until 2pm and got the last cabana rental for 30$ There's tons of lifeguards doing an excellent job watching There's 4 areas at the center, one that's about 3 ft deep and has lots of fun water spouts and toys/ mini slides next to the bigger water slides One that's is more of a splash pad Two pools, one smaller one larger The water did get a little murky after 3/4 hours we were there I saw a bandaid and some hair got stuck on me but that's to be expected since the pool was pretty full for a Monday! Looks like they have a cute mini golf course there too!
