I've had a frustrating experience trying to simply pick up my completed glasses. I've already made two trips and now have to come back for a third time. The first time, the person in charge of the glasses wasn't available, so I was told I needed to come back. Before returning, I called and left a message to make sure someone would be available, but I never received a call back. I came back again on Monday only to find out that the person who handles the glasses isn't available on Mondays. Now I have to make a third trip just to pick up glasses that are already finished. There really needs to be better communication and coverage for eyeglass pickups. Patients shouldn't have to make three separate trips just to pick up completed glasses read more

My appointment was confirmed three times via phone call and text, and yet when I showed up for my appointment today driving from 25 miles away, there was a sign on the door saying that they were closed, sorry for the inconvenience. It's inexcusable, and disrespectful of my time to not give me a quick text or phone call to tell me my appointment was canceled. Emergencies happen, but there's no excuse not to inform the customer, just as you would like to be informed. And when I called the main line to ask what was going on, no apology, just the representative telling me that they had no knowledge of this closure. Was accompanying my mother in law. As we were waiting to have her name called. A young man wearing glasses at the reception and another female colleague of his with brown hair were playing rock paper scissors on who would take the next patient. I don't know if they were passing the time or if they were dreading who would help the next person. It ended up being my mother in law we had never been here before so it's not like she had a history . It might be nothing but it was extremely unprofessional. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH A CLINIC THAT MAKES A FOOL OF YOU. Horrible clinic, poor communication and disrespect with the customer. After my eye exam(11/05/2025), they notified me that my glasses would be ready in about 4 weeks, but it took about 8 weeks and glasses came defective (01/15/2026). A new one was requested and it took 3 weeks, and when I got it, it was still defective (02/15/2026). He ONLY THEN checked the glasses and said it was because the numbers on the glasses were not matching the doctor's prescription and he would send it to a private clinic and it'd be ready in 2 weeks. Today (02/27/2026) it completed two weeks, I returned there and he did not even send it to the private lab, and told me I had to schedule a doctor appointment to give new numbers. I then asked why the heck did I had to wait 2 weeks then? NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. I ADVISE YOU, DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. All of this took me 3 months, and I ended up not getting the glasses. read more

Acuity eye group is horrible with there billing. I received someone else's bill. I also received a bill from back in 2024 with all these amounts they say I owe plus 2025, which I was never made aware of. Also, the eye doctor always asks if she's seen me before for the last 5 years. read more

For years I was a client at Costa Mesa Optometry + I loved it there. For personal reasons, the eye doctor shut down her business. I was referred to this eye doctor at Acuity Eye Group. I submitted a consent for Acuity Eye Group to obtain my medical records. Their response was immediate. I then called 5 days later + the receptionist stated that she could see my name, but none of my records on file. Then when I informed her that I needed to make an exam + order contacts because my last pair had run out unexpectedly, she informed me that I could not order contacts through this location. I repeat- YOU CANNOT ORDER CONTACTS AT THIS LOCATION AS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO. The reasoning is because they do not have an ophthalmologist. She said I would need to go to the Tustin location, but then proceeded to attempt to schedule my first appointment at this location. I informed her that the reason I see an eye doctor is for contacts + I double checked that it would make more sense for me to be a client at the Tustin branch. She then thought about it + said, "Oh true, that might be better." My experience with the receptionist was fine, but the fact you can't order contacts from here is why I am giving this branch 2 stars. That is a game changer and should be advertised. read more

Dr. Nancy Tsui is super super nice and patient! She went through the reports with me and my husband well. To help us understand the medical term, she google and show us the photos. She patiently answered all the questions we had and gave us advice how to take care our eyes. Although my mom's OD is also a good doctor, but I am considering to change my mom's OD to dr. Tsui! If I could, we'd like to give her 5 stars + 5 + 5 The nurse is also very kind. After I stepped out, I realized I forgot to ask doctor a question. She made sure doctor came to see me and talked to me before the doctor went to see next patient. The front desk doesn't have that much smile on her face, but that's ok to me. Horrible. HORRIBLE. I honestly don't know what to do with them anymore, so I'm leaving a review hoping a Dr will see what is happening to a patient in need. When I had an urgent eye issue a few weeks ago. and just needed a prescription ordered, I called the call center close to 15 times in one day, no less than five emails sent out IN ONE DAY, and not only did I never actually get through to speak to a live person but didn't get a call back for nearly 2 weeks. I need a new prescription, was told by a lady on Wednesday I would get called back by Thursday morning (at the latest) for a callback or prescription ordered--only to call the Call Center Thursday afternoon (after no call back) and be told the office is closed that day. Friday comes, I call again, no one answered, no call back, no prescription. It's Saturday and they're closed. To bring awareness to my frustration, I asked this terrible service be flagged so some escalation could happen and I could hopefully JUST get my prescription. Nothing happened. Seriously, I don't know what the problem is, but you cannot treat patients this way or operate this poorly. This is peoples health. I shouldn't have to go to UC or the ER just for a prescription. I just need some help and at this point, can only assume it's intentional for it to be this bad. read more

Horribly mismanaged, disorganized, and be careful for hidden fees/charges. I was charged $70 for an eye checkup, even though I already paid my copay and spent a lot of money for glasses and contacts. Doctor lied to the receptionist and said that she explained this charge to me, when she clearly did not. Seemed pretty mismanaged while I was waiting to pick up my glasses(of which they miscommunicated with me the day to pick them up. They just said oops, and had me leave without my glasses, which were ready). They need more than one person who can give you your glasses, like pretty much any and all other eye centers do. I will definitely be looking for a different eye center for my next purchase and checkup. read more

I chose the early appointment, 8:40. When I arrived there were already a good number of folks waiting. But arriving onto the building I wasn't sure about where to park. There should be more signs. Now about the visit, I don't like having to ask for names. I like the assistant, nurse, intake to say their name so I know whom I spoke to. Or wear a name tag so I don't have to say, 'Hey, you'. Aside from that the space is clean. The staff is nice and friendly. A bit mechanical at times. I would like that when eyes will be dilated that we are informed ahead of time or that disposable shades are provided. Even let us sit in the second waiting room for a bit. The doctor was quick and to the point, I appreciate that. I honestly don't remember his name, I would have liked a business card to know whom I spoke with. Overall, I was in and out in about 30 minutes, which is great. I'll be back in a year for my next visit. I'm good with that. read more

Dr. Boeckmann is the most amazing doctor. I take a friend of mine to see her. The surgery she does is fast and easy. She recently put a plug in her eyes to help the dryness in seconds and no pain. It's always busy ( hint the excellent doctor she is ) I saw her not only push a gentleman in his wheelchair why her staff was all busy but she even came and got us personally as she always remembers us. Then after taking us to one of the exam / eye testing areas she wiped down and sterilized the equipment for us. Even though her staff also did it again ( well trained ) in response to Covid precautions. She is an amazing, personable and always happy doctor. I will be sure to see her Oneday when it's my turn. I've been pretty closely connected to Acuity Eye Group for around a year-and-a-half now. They're an excellent group of surgeons and healthcare professionals. I had a major surgery to repair a detached retina (vitrectomy) performed by Dr. Suk in May of 2019, and a cataract/lens replacement surgery on the same eye performed by Dr. Boeckmann in August of 2020. Both are excellent surgeons and excellent people, and they saved my eyesight from permanent failure. Their staff is also helpful and highly professional, particularly Kaitlyn. They're really an excellent group, and I would highly recommend them. read more

We were referred by our health insurance and had an appointment to be seen by an ophthalmologist. Our appointment was re-scheduled twice, then 6 hours after confirming our 3rd appointment we were told that they did not confirm our insurance. After 2 months and on the 3rd appointment, they should have performed the insurance verification. Our insurance referred us to them, gave us a written referral. Obviously, they are disorganized and only care about their time, Stay away! read more

I have had the misfortune of them being taken over by this POS organization and it has been a nightmare for a month trying to get a hold of anyone, trying to get an appointment at a time where my insurance will cover it and ordering contacts. I don't understand why ordering contact out of pocket has been such a nightmare. Support the little guys and don't waste your time with these people. read more

I do not recommend this Physician. In my view she seriously lacks experience and skills to be an effective eye doctor. Seek a second opinion before you trust your precious eyes to her. I have seen eye doctors for over 40 years and never ever have seen or experienced one like her. I saw her few times and she did not seem to understand or care about my problem. My problem became worse and sought urgent medical care. I am totally puzzled and amazed as how she could perform effective surgery or how she can get any positive review.
