I purchased a pair of eyeglasses on September 2 and was initially told they would be ready within two weeks. That estimate was later changed to 15 business days, and as of September 25, I still have not received them. The delivery date has changed constantly, and I was recently offered a tracking number to follow the shipment myself. I was also told that the delay was due to the laboratory. However, I did not purchase directly from a lab--I made my purchase at an optical store, expecting professional service and accountability. If the lab is involved, that's an internal matter. From the customer's perspective, the store is responsible for fulfilling the order. I do not consider it my responsibility to track a product I did not order from a third party. The store should manage the process and ensure timely delivery. They continue to assure me that they are "on top of it," yet the product remains undelivered. Furthermore, even if the glasses eventually arrive, I still do not know whether the prescribed prescription will be accurate. If it's wrong, that could mean another month of waiting. read more

Dr. Choi and her staff are the best. Dr. Choi uses state of the art equipment and is very thorough in explaining what she is doing. On my visit I was welcomed very politely. They knew I was coming in and called me by name. They are very COVID safe. Every time I tried on or touched a pair of glasses they wiped them down and sanitized before making them available to others. Everyone was wearing masks and it made me feel very safe. I never really like going to the eye doctor. My last doctor was adequate, but not personable. Dr. Choi is a sweet person and really cares about your health. She goes above and beyond to find out details about your eye Health, including looking for other associated pathologies, macular degeneration, making sure that you don't have future problems with cataracts, and she actually took care of my entire family during my visit. She was able to use some very fancy frames that I brought in to get me a custom prescription which included the ability to have transition, and I was even able to incorporate protective coatings. I feel stronger, younger and more confident in my new frames as a result of Dr. Choy's expertise. She and her team are very professional. If you're in Orange county and need an optometrist, this is a great office. south coast Plaza is right across from the office so if you need to wait on a prescription, you could really get into trouble with your family like I did. Carlos, the receptionist, was so helpful, patient, and kind. I haven't seen him there lately, so I don't know if he's still there. Been coming to this optometry for a while with my entire family and everyone is great! However, today I got helped by the office manager (Alissa? got her name by seeing a previous bad review regarding her) and it was an extremely horrible experience. I've been in the process for buying sunglasses and had a frame ordered for me last week so I went to check them out today. Alissa gave me a quote which was for the wrong glasses which I told her and she kept denying that it was the correct one. Someone else told her that we never had a written quote for the sunglasses so she went to do one. She came back and it was way more expensive than what I was initially quoted. I tried to ask why the frames were way more expensive than other places and she was rudely explaining it to me. She did not explain the quote nor my benefits (as I've always been explained by others). I told her that I would like to get help by someone else and went on to saying "well I am the office manager," as the office manager she should have exceptional customer service which she does not have. The price of the glasses would have not been an issue, however, her lack of good customer service was. I hope Dr. Choi speaks to her as I am not the only one with a bad experience with her. She genuinely loves what she does and genuinely cares about her patients. My first experience with Dr. Choi was over fifteen years ago when she patiently worked with me for close to an hour and taught me how to use contact lenses. My previous optometrist before I went to see Dr. Choi got very impatient with me and told me I was beyond help regarding contact lenses. I was so discouraged after that experience until Dr. Choi came to my rescue! Her office staff is also helpful, professional, patient, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond what they need to do to put the customer first. A few years ago, I called to see if they took my insurance for vision. Sadly, they did not, but they went the extra mile and took time to research other optometrists that took my insurance plan and even called me back to give me this information. Wow! I was so impressed with this level of service that as soon as I was able to switch to VSP for my vision insurance, I contacted See 20/20 and made an appointment for myself and my husband. We were both there for a good 2.5 hours for our appointments with Dr. Choi... and trying to select new frames for our glasses. I Would not recommend this facility until something is done to address the following issue. My family and I have been going here for several years. I can say they have a great selection of frames, the store front and exam rooms are clean and the doctors are fantastic! It's the front office manager Alyssa, she's the reason I'm scoring my review so low. Every interaction with her is highly unpleasant. She has been nothing but rude, condescending and disrespectful. We've interacted with her many times over the last few years and frankly she is very unprofessional and a liar. I just can't understand how she is allowed to interact with people at all, let alone how rude she is when talking to the rest of the office staff. At no point did anyone give me any sort of lecture or grief about the lapse. Instead, everyone was engaging, friendly, and professional. The communication from the office is both timely and modern (text, e-mail, and voicemail reminders). They walk you through each step of the process, encourage you to ask detailed questions, explain all about exam results and the anatomy of your eye (very cool), and spend lots of time helping you choose the right frames for your health needs as well as for fashion and your budget. I needed a new prescription for the frame that I got elsewhere, and came here after a Yelp search. I didn't need to wait at all. Marcella (not sure if the name is spelled correctly) helped me with the pre-test right away. He introduced me to this new scanning machine that detects early symptoms of eye diseases. He was very funny and explained everything in detail. I didn't feel pressured opting to do the scanning. Then, Dr. Choi helped me with the eye exam and explained the findings of the scan. She was very thorough and patient, and we even talked a little outside of the exam. I have been to maybe around 10 optometrists in my over 15 years of wearing glasses, this was the first time an optometrist (and the staff) spent a good amount of time making sure the exam was properly done and that I had no more questions or concerns, and they knew that I already got a frame and lenses elsewhere! I was really impressed with their manner and professionalism. Even though I live in NYC, I think I'll try to come back for future exams. read more

Great Optometry shop that has been open in this area for many years. They moved to this new location from across the 405 a while ago, so it took me a bit to find them. Since this is Yelp I will reference Bella Cuba on the ground floor, and See 20/20 is up the stairs towards the back. Nice new digs BTW. Clean, sleek, and oh so modern. Was greeted cheerily immediately upon entering, but was saddened to hear the young fella that had deftly helped me over the years had just recently moved on. But the lady that did assist me was cool and funny, and she and her co-worker are real pros. I needed to replace the lenses on my Oakley prescription glasses, and my usual loyal self returned even though they aren't the cheapest in town. Give me great service and you will have me for life. They do try and do a lot of up-selling, and I did pay extra for a "thinner" lens, and slight tinting. Over $300 worth after all was said and paid for. She did give me a bit of a discount for paying up front though. Little tip: I do go to Costco for my prescriptions as they are the cheapest in town, and the optometrist (Jenee Lee OD) at the District in Tustin is great, quick, and very cute too. What more can you ask for? Appointments are accepted, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes to be shown to Jenee. Yeppers, back to seeing 20/20 again! read more

They have a lot of cool high tech machines which took pictures of my eyes and Dr. Choi went through and explained the images to me when I opted for the $39 scan. Definitely worth having as a baseline and since I am paranoid. Her assistant sanitized everything before doing the eye scans which I really appreciated. I've been to a lot of optometries, but I can't think of any as good as See 20/20. Everyone there's really friendly and nice. Dr. Choi and Dr. Ho are great and really sweet and knowledgeable. The opticians are really helpful. One of the girls even helped me decide on a great pair of glasses. The office is a little hard to miss; it's in the corner of the lot. It's in between a deli and a restaurant. I like this optometry so much that I brought my boyfriend and he ended up switching doctors. read more

As much as I wanted to like this place, after my coating peeled for a THIRD time I won't be returning. I know they don't make the lenses there. Probably beyond their control, I honestly don't know. But I've been wearing glasses for over 25 years and not once did this happen to me anywhere else. So regardless of who is to blame I will have to find another provider. I can't keep having this happen...it's very hard on your eyes when you have spots on your lenses. And I have NEVER cleaned them with any type of cleaning solution...ONLY the special cloth that they give you to clean them. I don't see that anyone else had this happen here...I can't figure out why it has happened to me 3 times now. At any rate it's open enrollment time so I'll be spending some more money out of my pocket to replace the glasses. Sorry 20/20...it's not me, it's you. read more

Made an appt and was in the next day. Oscar, the front desk rep is very nice and helpful. And the gal that assisted me with some of the basic exams was very nice as well. The doctor that examined me -- will have to edit this with her name when I figure it out -- was great! Very friendly and informative. This Optometry office has everything you are looking for. I'm no expert, but the equipment used looks very new and advanced, offices/rooms are all really clean. All the staff including the doctor are really nice and helpful. They answer are your questions and aren't pushy at all. My first eye exam with Dr. Choi was about 9 years ago. I would have continued to go to her office if I hadn't moved around. I recently had an appointment with her. I've lived in different states and visited a couple different optometrists over time. Hands down Dr. Choi has the most thorough and insightful eye exam. She is highly knowledgeable and welcomes questions. Her office is very clean and neat. Her staff is helpful and patient. I am sure many of you have left your optometrist with a pair of glasses or contact lenses that just didn't feel right. I've experienced headaches and been told by doctors that my eyes are just adjusting. I've never had any problems when receiving my prescription from Dr. Choi.
