Spent quite a bit of money on my sick cat called the next day concerned and they told me to go to another emergency vet really?? called back next day and nothing but personal answering machine left messages no call back . went in to discuss and pick up test results. did want to pay again and they just looked at me like OH WELL . I understand we pay for our pets I have been here with all my pets never hesitated to pay big bucks they are my babies but to be treated like an after thought to have major concerns after they treated my pet and no one would speak with be is just absurd . Dr Tony rocks!!! We have two older dogs a black lab and a English Mastiff. We also have two younger ones. A bullmastiff and another English Mastiff. All have received great care from Dr Tony and his staff especially our Bullmastiff Boomer who have to have eye surgery to correct a birth defect. New to the area. Took my Shih Tzu in for a welcome visit to get acquainted and to have a vet on hand if ever needed. Called for appointment and was set up for two days later. Plenty of parking. Large lobby area and reception desk. Felt a teeny bit off-put for just a second-like I should already know what to do or they assumed I had been there before- I didn't get "can I help you?" And had to speak up and say I was a new customer. Just a tiny blip. After about a two minute wait in the lobby, my fur baby was called into an exam room there are televisions in the exam room playing cute animal videos while you wait. The lobby and the exam rooms appeared clean and sanitary. The tech came in and took down basic information about my pet. Within five minutes the vet entered the room. Dr. Curry is a female vet and my dog was at ease right away. The vet tech stayed with the veterinarian while Rocky had an exam. They were very thorough and we discussed previous vaccinations and any issues my dog has had in the past. They did not try to sell me anything or suggest services I did not need. There was a discount for the first visit using Yelp check in. They also have an online store where they sell products and this seem very convenient. They offer coupon codes for items. I did not buy anything at this visit. So for less than $30 we were able to get acquainted and get my pet established as a patient -- hopefully we will not have to go visit again too soon. Recently we brought our dog Nero back for what we thought was a leg injury or arthritis. Dr Tony did an X-ray and found that Nero has bone cancer. It's a very sad day to hear that about your dog who is a big part of your family. Dr Tony prescribed some medications and hopefully they will help Nero fight this terrible disease. About five days after our visit Dr Tony office called to check on Nero. I told them my concerns and they asked the Dr and called me back with his recommendations to adjust Nero medications. My dog Pepper had a problem while visiting my sister in Hudson. A neighbor recommended Acupet to me. I can not say enough about the excellent care we received. Dr. Tony even recommended a new dog food, which he does not sell, to help with the problem. I am so confident in him, that should Pepper require surgery, I will fly back to Florida to have him preform it. Dr. Tony and his staff are tops. Each time I deal with them I realize how good they are. Like most long time pet owners I have been to many vets to include specialists. Buddy is our 2nd dog with special problems that require "regular" visits to the vet. There have been months with several "emergencies" where Buddy was so ill we were not sure if he would make it. more than once we have called minutes before they were closing and they told us to get right down for them to look at him. I have been there at 8am when tney open and they take my Buddy right in and check him out. These people offer the best service my pets and I have ever experienced. Not one time has the bill surprised me at this place. Our bill is always less here than at any other Vet we have ever been to. Dr. Tony is an awesome Vet and his staff is amazing. read more

Last week I brought my cat in for a minor allergic skin reaction, which she has had in the past. She was given 2 shots of steroids. A few days later we found her in respiratory distress. We don't know if it was a reaction to the shots or something else. Long story short, she died on the way to the vet. I was absolutely heartbroken. We called the vet and let them know what happened. We were told they would take care of it for a $40 disposal fee. There was little to no sympathy for the emotional ordeal we woke up to that morning and were in the process of dealing with. They ended up waiving the fee because my husband asked to speak to the dr himself. I couldn't even go inside with my dead cat in the carrier. I never received a phone call or any correspondence from Acupet. The last thing I expected was for my cat to be gone a few days after the visit to the vet. It was devestating. Not blaming this clinic or the Dr for what happened, but it would been nice for them to at least acknowledge the situation. Definitely will not take any of my other kitties to this vet. read more

Dr. Tony is THE BEST veterinarian that Stitch, my Frenchie, has ever had. He just had surgery today and is recouping beautifully. I've had many a vet in my time, and I appreciate that he does his job because he's passionate about animals and doesn't want to upsell you on anything that isn't necessary. We started out with another vet before finding Dr Tony. The other vet did a brief annual exam, we paid the bill and that was it. We kinda felt like our kids were in an assembly line. Short exam and that's it. So...we decided to look for another vet. After searching the internet and reviews, we decided on Dr. Tony. We took in our two springer spaniels. He did a full exam including their eyes. Our one springer had some muscle spasms and blood tests were ordered. Dr Tony called next day and told us the results. He did research on a thyroid problem and shared the info. Very knowledgeable, caring, efficient and totally a keeper!! Just what we needed for our fur kids. Oh yes, office staff is super great too!! I went to this veterinarian office due to the reviews on Yelp . The day I went the regular vet was out for medical reasons and they had a rent a vet. This woman was all over the place, refused to give my dog a cortisone shot because I refused a high dollar skin test. Which he has had as he has had skin problems his whole life. She suggested hard bones to chew on due to tarter he is 16 btw and he lost a molar this am due to the bone. This vet needs to retire. Dr. Tony the regular vet needs to just close the doors when he is out as this rent a vet is not doing his practice any favors. I do want to mention the staff was excellent, top notch. I don't know if I will go back or not and allow the actual vet a chance I hear good things about him. read more
